And I have had people accuse me of being anal for using a check list when I pack. Sparky (The same person included you in that comment.) My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Is your Wingloading within the WNE Chart?
mjosparky replied to FrancoR's topic in Safety and Training
Brian Germain has spent a great deal of time learning what makes a ram air canopy tic. I think it would be safe to say he is one of the most knowledgeable canopy pilots around today. But 52% of the jumpers that responded to your poll are at or above his recommended wingloading. And I bet they all think they are ready and can handle it. Lets have another poll in 1 year, have the same people respond, and see how many can still walk. (dead would fall under the "can't walk category) Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
You are right, it is personal preference. My personal preference is to be up front about who I am. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

You guys are paranoid or have a wierd idea of your influence over the internet. It's a post noting more nothing less (unless you want it to be) There's lots of people on here who don't have info on the profiles, mines states my name is Squeak Squeak and it has since I registered 2 plus years ago. As to the poster being a reporter If i were a reporter asking about DZ partying, I'd GO TO A DZ Shhh someone may be listening Well Squeak Squeak, thank you for providing me with a phycological profile. I will be sure and forward it to my parole officer. Is there something about your name that could possibly make you prefer "Squeak Squeak"? Maybe you are paranoid about giving your real name. Squeak up, I can't hear you. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but it sounds to me like they are saying you do not have to buy a battery. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

There are cases where, in my opinion, a rigger knows more then a given manufacture on a given subject. It is rare but can happen. As far as legislators, hands down, the riggers know more then they do. And probably not just about rigging. In the US it seems they are guided more by money and a good photo op. As far as Hook's question, its a no win situation. If you do it right you're fucked, if you do it wrong you're fucked. It always amazes me how many people stay in rigging with the vague regulations that are open to interpretation by so low level paper pusher that confront them dailey. jmo Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

That I would have loved to have seen. You can't hear and they can't see. Sparky No kidding! Dan and John screaming at me and one other deaf skydiver, maybe John Woo, and we're signing "PULL YOU WANKERS!!" or as another friend joked "and a skydive went dead wrong, news at 10:00"... Edited to add: actually, I talked with them via email. Makes me wonder how they use computers... Billy I have known and jumped with John since the early days before he lost his sight. At one POP's meet, a 5 way scrambles, we were on the same team. Took 2nd. place. Just think of stepping out of an airplane and not being able to see. On top of that, John is one hell of a great guy. Speaking of yelling. I sat in on one the video debriefs for the deaf record attempts at Perris. Tempers flared and you guy were yelling at each other, you could hear a pin drop. You are right. Jumps from 30,000 would entail breathing 100% O2 from below 10,000 until about 2 minutes before exit. At that time you would disconnect from the on-board O2 supply and start breathing from you bail out system. Most commonly used are twin 53's with a useful time of around 15/30 minutes. I have deployed as high as 28,000 and not had a problem with O2. Note, this was not with sports gear and a small, H/P main. Sports gear is not designed or tested to be used under these conditions. If you buy a new one, subtract $450.00 (75x6) from your figures. The battery is replaced at time of maintenance and included in the flat rate cost. You end up with $9.52 a month or $114.00 a year. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

How does you knowing more about who they are help you to answer that question. You're just nosey Yes, I am nosey and maybe you should be to. With no name and no history I wonder about his motives. Rumor and heresay can ruin a DZ. If he is not willing to identify himself/herself why bother with a response. Sparky this is an internet message board, who is to say any information he posts about himself is going to be accurate anyways? I for one could careless about personal information. If it is a topic i want to comment on i do, if it isnt, then i dont. Simple. I think thats great. I choose to do things a little different. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Have you ever tried it. After you cut the first of the 4 risers the world as you know it will come to an end. Plus the O2 you would burn would put you in a worse position. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I have used the silk long johns with silk glove liners on jumps to 30,000 MSL and they work great. Check your PM's for site. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
