  2. You knew exactly what you were doing as far back as Dec. 2012. You claimed you had just returned from a week in Deland and were bitching about loud mouth TI’s. Read the first post in this thread. You were given plenty of heads up about how you were coming across to others. A couple of times I posted hints that people were getting tired of your crap. And I even did it nicely which is not my normal way of dealing with your type. Even you in your latest post you are unwilling to be completely truthful. People should not have to “do the math” to figure out if you are real. As Paul said what you changed will have no effect on spam. You have just changed you gear and location again. What does that say for your credibility? Container: Racer Main: Old Racer Reserve: Optimum Reserve 218 ft² (0.78 lbs/ft²) AAD: Vigil 2 Take a look at my profile, I am sure you already have, everything is listed exept my phone number. And if someone wants that they can have it. I am not ashamed of who I am or anything I have done, nothing to hide. I know there are people on these boards that think I am being a little harsh but you are the one that put yourself in this position. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  3. Jack, I concur. (Sorry, Dave.) While what Dave suggests may be appropriate for student rigs, I don't think it is once a person gets their own gear. For example, my Flight Concepts Manta and Man o' War canopies require that I take 2 wraps around my hand of the steering line in order to stall them. No kidding, 2 wraps. There is no way that I should shorten the steering lines until they stall with no wraps. The tail would be pulled down all of the time if I set up my canopy that way. Perhaps what some people think should be done to set up their steering lines is assuming a high performance canopy, (which even some novice skydivers now have). There are just so many variables. It is difficult to come to an agreement discussing these things online. A person needs to trust someone locally to help them set up their canopy. I offer this graphic file for discussion: http://www.skydivestlouisarea.com/instruction/steeringlinelength.jpg I have modified it several times to accommodate the feedback I have received, and they changing trend in student canopies. I made this to show people how steering line length should be set in general. I have already found that some people disagree. Hi Gary, I flew a FC Sharpchuter and always set it up where I would take one wrap on landing. It allowed me to do some very interesting steep approached into tight demo targets. People should play around with the setting and see what works for them. 4. If you mean what is on my right wrist, that is a watch. I was referring to the altimeter mounted on my right mud flap. It is on a leather mount that I made and wore it in the same place for 20 years. How can you see a watch altimeter on your wrist during a wing suit jump? Seems like it would be a little awkward. 7. Just lemme know where you keep the weed eater and edger. I'm that guy that will even make sure your yard work is taken care of. you DO know i have a pretty mean dobermann-rottweiler, right!? Never saw a doggie I couldn't get next to. Sparky http://i397.photobucket.com/albums/pp55/mjosparky/300px-1977_CZ-75.jpg My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  8. I agree. Completely. And it pisses me off too. But I also think people deserve a second chance when they admit they were wrong. Hell. I lied about my experience to get on a night jump when I had 30 jumps. I wouldn't do it now, but then? I was stupid and thought I knew everything. By all means, we should correct any factually incorrect information he posts - that's the point of having this community. But having been caught lying I think he deserves a chance to prove he's changed. Who knows - his keenness might be channeled into actually getting an instructor rating and really learning... Having said that, I've no sympathy if he continues lying the way he was... One chance. One. Chris - I hope you're reading this. I'm sticking my neck out for you against some people I have the utmost respect for. You are not sticking your neck out…..you are just stating what you feel. I will never fault a person for that. We can’t help the way we feel but we can control the way we act and what we say. Over the years I have stepped on my share of toes but I’ve never done it to be cute. In my opinion, opinion being the key word, it was justified and called for. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

  11. I would recommend using one when you arent really using a normal alti. when you can use spatial reference points to see how high up you are. dont rely on this unit. I wrap mine aroung the chest strap and a water bottle for wing suit. Saying that, i like mine a lot. i've used for a little bit now with no problem. i did return the white on black tactical version b/c i could not read that for shit while skydiving. i even use mine for wingsuiting Where would you carry it on a wingsuit dive? Sparky Would that be something like this, which is good for every type of skydive. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  12. I have a ball cap a good friend gave me years ago, on the front is a pair of cowboy boots and below that it says “When you get a man down – put the boots to him”. Stop and consider what it was that put him down. I have received some information that he is not a 1 jump wonder but has been around for awhile. This makes his actions even more reprehensible. While some don’t mind having their chain jerked, it pisses me off. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  13. Well, dang, Sparky, those posts are nothing compared to the nonsense happening in the DB Cooper thread! I’m afraid to go in the DB forum. Too many dark places. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  14. Below are a few posts made in responce to a guy many believe to be a troll. ________________________________________ *****, are you going to do any beneficial work to help skydiving or our organization, or are you just going to go on and on posting nonsense in dropzone.com forums? ________________________________________ Many of those full of shit post of yours in fact are worded like you think you got some big handle on the facts, when in fact you don't.... other wise you wouldn't cloud the topic at hand with stupid ass Canadian doctors report that has no direct baring on this topic. ________________________________________ But the deliberate way you try to sound more knowledgeable than you actually are in some areas makes every post you make suspect. 'I started skydiving back in the 70's, implying that you've 40 years of experience - we both know that isn't the case. ________________________________________ You're a really wierd guy... ________________________________________ Please stop selling your opinions as facts. They aren't... ________________________________________ You on the other hand are known to give rambling, partly incoherent, highly biased and opinionated rants with a high level of anger at some meaningless regional politics that you are involved in. Most people here just ignore you. You reap what you sow. ________________________________________ In your profile you list you location as San Diego, your country of origin as Zimbabwe and your home DZ as Deland. You don’t list you jump history or your name. Your posts are in many cases condescending and in most cases long, rambling and wrong. ________________________________________ After watching you post in this an the other thread, you're on going rambling bullshit, it is quite clear you know little of the topic at hand and it would serve all of us who do grasp it and deal with the issue in our daily life's, if you could learn to shut the fuck up about topics you don't know shit about! ________________________________________ Book reviews on Amazon in December this year by said troll. Well, I wanted just "Booger", but that was already taken, even though the person has never signed on, and has never posted any messages. So I went with the plural version. 17. I'm sorry!! It doesn't pop up as such on mine or I would've warned you!! Sorry!!! Must...resist...too easy. Ugh. I can't win today and it's only 10:45am. My bad. There's another saying I can't stand. MY BAD. It came through fine on mine. 19. There is no "pull altitude" requirement in the US. What USPA says in the SIM has no force of law. They are just a private club not a branch of government. The chances of getting a waiver from the FAA to jump a single canopy rig would be just about zero. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  20. The cause of tension knots can be attributed more to aspect ratio than anything else. It also is the main factor in line over with brake lines. There can be a lot of slack in the lines before complete inflation. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
