When will I hear from USPA?

Yes, don't sweat it. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
Skydive responsibly or not, there's no way it's safer than driving. Period. If you need to believe that to make yourself feel better that's fine, but please, don't go telling your whuffo friends that it's safer than driving. It isn't. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Doesn't he do winters in Coolidge, AZ? There is a partial schedule here. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Look here: http://www.dropzone.com/links/Gear/index.html Chances are that PD, Mirage, etc.. won't sell directly to you. These companies prefer to work through a network of resellers (dealers to you and me), rather than deal directly with the public. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. Someone who works as an actuary in the insurance industry could probably tell you exactly how skydiving compares to other "extreme" sports. Anyone? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Then you are doing them, and our sport, a huge disservice. Use the search function here on dz.com if you wish to dig deeper into this subject, it's been hashed out many times. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

1. Heath Richardson - USA (8 pts) Sweet. Big congratulations to all of the competitors, God knows they've earned it. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Does your altimeter currently interfere with your canopy flight? I've got a replacement strap for my Alti3 that allows me to wear it around my left wrist, facing in. It's the perfect location for being able to take a quick glance without having to move my hands. Look here to see what I'm talking about. It's the wristband displayed under "Altimaster III Replacement Wristbands". Edit: I'm guessing that you could find (or make) a similar strap for the Sapphire. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I have never seen anyone as smooth, focused, and in control, as Heath Richardson. He's got my vote. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I think that Bill knows about that video, read his post entirely. The emphasis is mine, not Bill's. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I don't think it's his hard deck, Richard. I think that's the point at which he's going to go straight for the reserve if anything happens (collision, self imposed line twists, etc...) Make sense? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I use Postfix on my external email relays, 5 of them. Postfix is secure, robust, able to handle a larger load than Sendmail, and like Sendmail, is not an open relay by default. Oh, did I mention that Postfix config files don't have any of this "#$ " crap? I'll never use Sendmail again. Never. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

An RSL? Screw that! I'm going to bring my AFF jumpmaster with me on every skydive from now on. I can't trust that mechanical devices. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

PDS privided an answer that was probably right had we been talking about programming, but since we're talking about the day to day administration of an AS/400 (A unique beast indeed!), I think that PDS's answer was wrong. I'm not exactly sure what the right answer is, but I'm pretty sure that it's not dealing with libraries as you and I might understand them. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. If only legal, honest, and responsible citizens could get guns then we wouldn't need guns, would we? You're quick to cite murder numbers, but how many of those murder numbers are commited by people with weapons purchased illegally? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. Dave, if you expect your argument to be (a) taken seriuosly, or (b) be effective, then you need to post ALL of the details. You can't go and get bent at someone for criticizing you when you admit that you only provided a "very fast rundown". For what it's worth, I'm anti-gun control. I don't think you're making a good argument for the cause. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
