anyone else 'lean forward' while driving to see better up ahead?
ltdiver replied to loumeinhart's topic in The Bonfire
No no no....It's to better focus with the prescription windshield! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

skydancing, Pat Works, Skratch... today?
ltdiver replied to ScratchTX's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Lori, I was thinking the same thing. Not for use in just skydiving, either. Ditto. -
I agree. Wow. Watched all 7 segments and it kept coming back to me that this 'family' think and behave very much like the Pharisees of biblical time. And "Gramps" is Caiaphas, the high priest. They believe they are the only ones with the 'truth', hold strong the doctrine of -their- own making and interpretation, and berale anyone who dares to challenge (or rather, enlighten) them. They are behaving just the way the Jews of old did when they did the crucifixion. Interesting that this comes up right one Easter weekend. Hmmmm.... ltdiver edit to add this quote from the above link provided: Frightening, isn't it... Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Cool. Maybe I'll pop in my DVD of the movie and skip all the commercials!

Warren Miller "Epic Conditions"
ltdiver replied to bbarnhouse's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Too bad "Epic Conditions" won't be filming in AZ during the summer. I think THIS qualfies as something worth viewing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Well, you've got the "Able to keep their mouth shut in case he was caught" down, don't ya? Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

At least he owed up to his 'boneheaded' mistake. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, he raised $25 million to her $26 million. However, he had ALOT more supporters giving to her fewer supporters maxing out. http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/04/04/obama.fundraising/index.html Seems that if I add it up an election can be won by number of votes, not the $$ amount taken to the polls. Nice work Mr. Obama! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, duh! ltdiver You might want to read what you posted. If Bill has been bitching at the FAA, then there's no relevance to this article, since it's about the FCC, otherwise known as the Federal Sandy Vagina Agency My reference was to billvon's previous posts and research years ago (before you started posting here on dz.com). He worked -with- the FAA to develop a system that could work from commercial airlines and not disturb others on the ground. IIRC all that was left was signatures on papers to kick it into gear. Seems that the FCC has put a krink in that penmanship. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

So, it seems that all billvon's work with the FAA has gone for naught? The FCC upheld the cell phone ban on airline flights! http://www.cnn.com/2007/TRAVEL/04/03/cell.phones.airplanes.ap/index.html Well, I kinda understand...I have a co-worker who yaks -constantly- on her cell phone! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

And why are you thinking of that? Just staying in theme with the thread.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Anyone remember the hot dog ads in Skydiving Magazine a few years back? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Cool! He finally settled on a title for his book. I like it! I'm ordering one, and I think a co-worker needs one as well.
-
Really? I mean, my co-workers were all anticipating their computers failing to change time at the correct (new) interval this year. I waited for mine to follow suit, but it changed time exactly when it should have and keeps on ticking just right today. No problem. Guess Steve Jobs did another thing right..... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

My good 'ol Mac is keeping time just fine.

Snickers candy bar. Got home too late, and too tired to try and cook anything. Hungry but no energy. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

You're better than me. At first read I thought the title was about "Tandem Tipping". Ya know, like "Cow Tipping"! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Tough, rough game, but you haven't experienced anything until you've participated (or watched in -our- case) this form of rugby! http://www.murderballmovie.com/ They call it "Murder Ball" for a reason! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Just don't do what a patient of mine did!!! Elderly woman, living by herself....She had a problem with an ant hill in her backyard. She tried everything -she- could think of to get rid of them. She resorted to putting little bits of meat on her back porch to attract them to one area, then she'd poison them on the spot. Unfortunately, the ones still in the ant hill continued to reproduce, so she would repeat her 'remedy' and kill another host of them who'd 'come for dinner'. Worked okay (sort-of) until one night she got up to go to the bathroom and fell. She landed, with a broken leg, between her bed and the night stand. Wedged there. She could not get up. The ants found her and decided that this must be their nightly snack.... When I met her, 4 days later, she had bite marks ALL over her body. In her eye sockets, her ears...etc etc. Nobody had found her for 3 days. Well, nobody except the ants! Needless to say, before she left the hospital we'd called the Agriculture Department and had them pay her house a visit. Very true story. I'd have never believed it except I saw it with my own eye. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Saw this on the news last night. Great inspirational story and one I hope changes other young people's lives for the better in years to come. Another great life changing story is of Ben Carson and his quest to change not only his life (growing up in the projects) but others as well. He went on to be one of the best pediatric brain surgeons of our time. His book: "Gifted Hands". ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

1) You could always change your tickets and come to Perris where we have a swoop pond. People were practicing their high performance landings out there last weekend. The truck goes out to pick them up and they're back in the packing area before those of us in the main landing area are. 2) a) Go to Eloy and use their hop-n-pop option. b) Land off the main landing area and be safe and follow their rules. When Nationals was going on last year they had swoopers in the grass area by the wind tunnel (sport accuracy) while the rest of the jumpers were landing in the other landing areas. I stood there taking pictures (for "Parachutists") and was impressed by the dance of planes flying different patterns in the sky. Some dropping jumpers over the main landing area and another over where we were. Planes taking off every 5 minutes in the background. And to top it off, SDAZ had an airconditioned van taking competitors back and forth from the tunnel to the hanger every load.
