  2. Or pull it through, with it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Apology accepted. :^) Yes. Yet, can I correct a bit of use of terminology? :^) In this picture the pink things on the skydiver's suit are called 'grippers', and what the skydivers are doing is holding them. This is 'holding grips'. :^) Not quoting it, yet one has to wonder what the body can withstand. If great force is put on 550 line, wrapped around someone's waist, would that be enough to cut the individual in half? As skydivers we all know stories of how body parts were cut off from going through someone else's suspension line in flight. :^( Sigh... :^( ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. SafePLF. It's really too bad you're not a skydiver (or at least have tasted a tandem flight). I've done a bit of searching and the best I can come up with to illustrate the forces over the tail of a jet in flight is this jet test in a wind tunnel. Take a look around frames .27-.32 into the video for an approximate view of the vortex forces we are subject to when we exit the jet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT79WRtJUmI Oh, and btw, it's not correct in quoting me that 'holding hands' is not doable out of a jet. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3147589;search_string=holding%20hands;#3147589 It's attempting to hold -anything- not strapped to you. Holding someone else's rig in front of you...their grips (legs or arm grips). It can be done, but a very very low probability of success. (Holding grips is NOT 'holding hands'.) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Cummerbund?

Pleats up so they can catch the food crumbs! You think I'm kidding? Read THIS. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. You beat me to it, Kris. I'll say the same.
  7. Bush seems to think so.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. See you there! If you'd like some volunteer help on that day just let me know. I'll not be jumping, so ground work is just the ticket...
  9. Cool! Let me know. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Ya big tease! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. You driving or flying? Driving--yes! Flying--ya know 3 oz of the stuff just wouldn't cut it, and I'm sure it'd never make it through baggage without them consuming the lot. The empty bottle I have gracing my desk (decoration) right now is from the case that Amy and Bill brought down several years ago. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Sitting here at my desk, staring at an empty bottle of Skydiver Blonde, wishing there was some way to get ahold of a full bottle of the stuff tonight. Good brew. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. Only in 2 states in the US. Sorry but you're wrong on this one, atleast in TX. Okay, I should have put CA law. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. It's not a bug... and it wasn't you. Sorry! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Well if you are going to tell us there is no way the money got there by natural cause from the jump point that will not be any big surprise. Your picture of the bag had me LMAO! You mean they actually gave him a bag like straight out of an old cartoon......or were you joking? He's speaking in absolutes, so get ready...It might not have even been Cooper's money... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Another reason why she shouldn't be in the Oval Office. Can't you see her tantrums if she didn't get her way with any foreign leader? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Ah, how cute. LTDIVER Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Maybe they're more bold where you come from, but around LA (Los Angeles) they hit you with bullets -from their car- as you drive by. And most of the time they are never caught. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. Had to sit through traffic school (more than a few times) and although we don't like it these two are actually legal. The first one, motorcyclists -can- drive between cars if the traffic is going less than 40mph and the posted maximum speed is greater than that. The second one, it's ALWAYS the driver's fault if there is a collision with a pedestrian, even if they're jaywalking. Doesn't matter if the pedestrian is an idiot or not. Both irk me, but that's the law. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. Well, at least you know whoever has them is getting no pleasure out of their use. I have prescription sun glasses as well (Oakley) and am always worried I'll lose them somewhere. Thankfully no, so far. Good luck with trying to locate them. I'm thinking that if it's a skydiver they'll show up sooner or later. If it was a whuffo, he's probably trashed them by now. We found an iPod under the seat of a rental car at the WFFC years ago. It took a LONG time to find the owner (through Apple's serial number search) but finally did. Interesting that they never reported it missing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. It's not a problem, just curious here. I changed my profile quote to GOLD color and it changed the forum titles to the same as well. Didn't know I was that powerful. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Try copying your text to your clipboard before spell checking. That way if it all goes to pot you have your entry at least saved to try again. Glad it's only IE that's having a problem (this time around). Safari's doing great right now. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  24. You're a known suspect now and they know your car. I'd be aware that that 'little guy' (or even someone else) may carry a gun next time. Road rage does exist and 'taking cuts' is a very personal affront. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. One has to think that they -must- feel guilty when they see those better than them go home first. Brooke sure appeared so, yet Jason just looked amused. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
