Yeah, that looks like the one on Saturday. I was in the packing area, turning my back to the dust. A foreign jumper asked 'where all this dirt was coming from' and we had to laugh. Your in Perris in the 'summer', man! That's what's here! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

The movie "Doc Hollywood" comes to mind now. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Quite probably they didn't consider skydiving with their camera a high priority in their testing criteria... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Heard about this from some of the participants. They said it was a very fun time with lots of interesting visuals...seeing all those Cessnas trying to line up in formation with each other. I'd love to see pictures of the formation if someone has them. Didn't they try and get a similar event going in FL a few years back? Not enough interest to bring it all together, though? Damn those turbine snobs! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Reading some of the reviews to the article HERE I like Morgan Daniel's insight and solution to 'the doctor shortage and burn-out' problem. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Has anyone seen this documentary? Gas Hole Care to comment? I saw the title on a weekly movie night line-up HERE and was intrigued. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

South CA tour of DZs? Perris unCONVENTIONal Boogie

Since you'll be traveling between Perris/Elsinore and San Diego you'll be in line to stop by some nice little breweries. I'd PM billvon for directions as he knows of some nice little tucked away ones that most don't know about (and have some nice brew). Also, if you want to visit a larger brewery I'd highly recommend The Stone Brewery. Bill and Amy introduced a bunch of us to it last year. They've made a beautiful little arboretum from a water reclaim basin and built the brewery around it. Very very nicely done and well worth the stop over. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
That was a question I had after I'd done a tandem as well. (I was supposed to only do 1 tandem, but got hooked and didn't stop. ) Compared to canopy flight on a tandem a solo rig is quite light. However let me speak from an instructor's viewpoint. At our school our hanging harnesses have 20 pound weights hanging from each brake line. Our students MUST be able to pull them up (by pulling down on the toggles) before we'll send them up on an AFF Level I skydive. It not only builds the student's confidence that they -can- maneuver their canopy, but also ours that they have the strength for whatever they need to do up there. And yes, we've had to turn a few people away because they didn't have the minimal strength to do the task. I'm glad we found out on the ground, during training, instead of after a problem in the air. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

May 3rd SKYDIVE PERRIS - KOJI Benefit
ltdiver replied to lewmonst's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If you left your black case and rig out in the packing area while you attended the dinner we picked it up and put it in a team room for you (not safe to leave your stuff out overnight). It's locked up and safe where it's at. And if it wasn't you, and you see someone frantically looking around for their stuff tomorrow morning, have them check with cameraflyer Terry to retrieve it (and pay him a 'protection fee' for saving their valuables). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
That show is awesome! If you're in the area, Tami, this is a very good suggestion. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Jerry...Pay special attention to the 'Security Issues'. Some retail stores don't back the product if it comes with a virus. Do a little research to find out which ones to avoid. That said, I bought one for my Mom for Christmas this year. She LOVES It! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Check! They are ALL at Perris this month! Just got back from the DZ and the 100-way camp has 150 in it this weekend...AND the 100-way invitational has 200 in it for next weekend! Then there's the Brits and the large lot of skydivers from Singapore filling the alternate loads while the big-way debriefs.

http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/driving/jeremy_clarkson/greatest_hits/article3250597.ece I think you missed the point of the thread....a mode of transportation not relying on gas. (well, I guess that rules out the horse then too. ) Besides, why would one want something that's compared to .... "exoskeletal car. A sort of beetle-cum-Pompidou Centre." ? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Guess billvon wouldn't want that exact palm pilot directing his bike. what was that inventor thinking?? No helmet...no gear...no traffic control! It's also the only time I've seen a motorcycle accident with the bike left still standing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

So, the 'rubber band' theory still stands? What was given to Cooper had rubber bands? Or am I hearing you wrong? Also: Perhaps because I'm a skydiver I have to take issue with this statement. And because we fly the DC-9 with the lower stair removed it may alter what they felt that night on the 727. However, with the rear door open on the DC-9 we DO NOT feel air rushing around us there in the cabin. Perhaps we're desensitized, but I don't think so.
