Camera choice: Digital or SLR 35mm?
ltdiver replied to lifewithoutanet's topic in Photography and Video
If you want some expert opinions on digital SLR's, take a look at what Mike McGowan says on these two cameras. Nikon d2h Kodak 14n Mike bought the Kodak. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Proof that being a sex addict makes you smarter than being an alcohol addict. Hey, it's on the internet, right...so it must be true! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ah, my friend Andrey Veselov's photographs. Always a treat! Thanks. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Did -you- get a "Spank Me" sticker while they were training at Perris this past week? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Wow! What a story. I know the doctor who performs the miracle for this heart condition. And here's the story of the Grinnan's House Makeover.

Dang! I had 2 pins in my thumb but never had them stick out of the skin at all! They had to tack down a ligament to the bone when I torn it off. Enjoy your physical therapy when you get yours taken out! We LOVE fingers!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

This is a great idea, Jan! Perhaps the first of a line of hostels that can be made into a travel book and marketed? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Foot-Head....Head-Foot. Kinda far away from each other. I'll venture there's a story waiting to be told here, Ray? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Good for you, Mel! Just remember that you're really not a 'real' cameraflyer until you've hit a team at least twice! Have fun with the long skinny exits! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I personally use Program 1. If memory serves, the 300D's Program 2 is equal to the 10D's Program 1 which is more subdued. 300D's Program 1 has a higher saturation (which I like). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Uh....take a look around in the 'Search' menu. A lot has been discussed about this (and other Canon) cameras.

Just got back home from the unveiling of the Redlands, CA home that received the gift this week from Extreme Makeover. There were over 1,500 spectators present for the presentation! (largest support crowd they'd ever had in their 18 makeovers!) Go Redlands!! What a fantastic job that crew did with the house! And the family was awestruck. A desert oasis setting with fountains streaming over rocks, palm trees, sculptured sand and native desert plants. A Spanish style theme. Can't wait to see the episode on tv (and get to see the inside of the house finally). Probably be a couple of months, I guess. Did get to see one item of interest before they carried it into the house....a life size bucking bull ride! Ty even got on a played 'ride-'em cowboy' before they disappeared back inside! Got a standing ovation for that one!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ya mean that he's got a reversed, cut off t-shirt, tan buff arms and a goofy smile? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

My co-worker was the one who sent me on the mission to get a pic of Ty. :^) (she knows the picture stuff I do on weekends and the quality of the camera I tote around). Got to say, Ty is a very personable individual, taking over an hour to meet and greet people, sign autographs, have pictures taken with anybody,...even chat for a few on cell phones of fans to other fans on the other end. The house, btw, is supposed to be unveiled tomorrow. Don't know the entire story of the recipient....however, the story goes that it is for a family with a child with a rare form of heart disease. The child must be kept in a germ-free, dust-free environment for his/her health. I was impressed. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

So, get this....the show "Extreme Makeover-Home Edition" showed up in town this week! I've seen a couple of the shows, however a co-worker is a die-hard fan of this young man....got a picture just for her today. Think she'll like it?

Would you rather have this? It was over 100 degrees (read 122 in Palm Springs) last weekend! We all thought we were MELTING! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Oh, is that why the brief shot of Michael Moore found him looking either rather bored or studying the speaker's language intently? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Which wide angle lens should I get?
ltdiver replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Photography and Video
Good point of view (no pun intended). Safety is #1 in my book on each and every skydive. However, in my bag of lenses my Sony .6 has a larger view than my Kenko .5 or .43. Kind of seems like an opposite, but it's dependent on manufacture and their own devices. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
There is a picture sitting on my desk at work that inspires me to this day. A previous patient of our hospital who was a competitive swimmer....headed for the Olympics. She contracted Necrotizing Fasciitis and not only lost both her legs but her arms as well. The picture I have is of her -after- this seemingly completely debilitating occurrence. She is in a swim suit, sitting pool-side....winning smile on her face. She not only lived, but is an inspirational speaker and teacher to this day. Her picture there reminds me that no matter how bad things can get, there is always a way. My prayers go out to your friend, jumperconway. I hope he makes it and can find a way to inspire others as well. For those of you who want to read a very graphic story on this disease, I found this just today. Do not click on the picture links included in this life account unless you want to see what can -really- happen. The writing does not have the pictures viewable unless you click on his links, so at least read the story. And if you'd like, take a look at what Vance "Bo" Salisbury went through. Click on "My Story" on his web page HERE. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Here ya go. 5.8MB download. Quicktime .mp4. Put the video on my web page, as it was the easiest to do at short notice tonight (and the first video I've uploaded to the web...hope it works for everybody).

I have a video of Icarus and can post it tonight, after I get back from the DZ. She's really and awesome bird. Hope she comes back and looks us up again (this time when she's well and not just hungry). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
