  1. Picked it up at work, 'eh? Welcome back to the work force. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. Why don't you start out with this one. At least protect your lens. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home;jsessionid=Bh9GMMvLk4!2120370478?A=search&Q=&b=8&a=27_331&a=0&Submit.x=9&Submit.y=11&shs=&ci=112&ac= ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. I hate the kit lens. Would love to sell it, but I've lost it somewhere. Don't know where. I can't find it. Oh well. The article was interesting in the fact that someone went to all that trouble to figure out how to alter that lens and make it 'more' useful. Maybe we'll all get that crazy if this rainy weather doesn't let up!!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. Yes it is! Care to take that hacksaw to the plastic? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. He tried that. Booked the plane and tried it over Elsinore. Didn't make it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

You talk as if his profile is correct in his location. We don't know this to be true. No more than his name is "John Strap". He may be in a place where they (used to) trust others. Or their rigs were put away in a location that was still accessible to skydivers. Like the fatality that happened in Europe, where someone got into the locker where everyone's rig was stored and cut not only the main but reserve risers. And someone died. Yes, I know that has now been ruled a suicide, but that's not the point. We don't want a newbie to think what Kbone was 'joking' about was a cool thing and copy the idea. Touching someone else's gear is not only scarey but stupid! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. Why does it seem that everyone gets their Parachutist LONG before I do?! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Awesome pics, lew! Were those with your new 20D? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    dreams

I used to have a similar dream, except I didn't have to jump in the air to launch...I'd just push my back up against a wall and this would give me the energy to launch upwards. And this was when I was a kid, long before I ever even knew of skydiving!
  11. I have to conscieously stop myself from doing that at work. If the word 'headdown' doesn't sound kinky to you. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. We ALL hope for a reprieve from this weather. I heard that Seattle, WA isn't getting as much as we are these days! As for the magazines...YEAH bring them over! It'd be great to see where we've all come from. Any 'newbie' pics of you, Harry? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Kbone. Hope you're trolling. However, if you're not here's a tidbit of info for you. A pulled reserve handle -does- cause a complete repack. And a full charge to the jumper who's rig it is. Now passed on to -you- in total. Plan to be banned at ALL surrounding DZ's. Conduct like this does not make a person a family member. It makes them an enemy. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Exactly! To see the evolution of photography as well and how it got started. Do you know that the very first sanctioned air-to-air video of RW competition was in 1988. I have an original video from our U.S. Nationals from that year. You can sit and laugh at how they started, then awe over the fact that they were trail blazers in something that now we take for granted. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Shit weather

'Doh! Sorry. You're absolutely right! Not getting wet in there, are you? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. For my Cinema Display the first part mini-DVI to DVI is needed. Then a second part the DVI to ADC is needed. All in all, over $120 worth of connecting equipment. It is not what comes with the 12" PB's original package. It has to be bought separately. Or so I was told when I went by the Apple store. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Shit weather

Hmmmm, yeah, right! Perris Weather Today. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. I was reviewing the classifieds on this site this afternoon (shit weather and stuck indoors. It's freaking COLD outside!)....anyway....as I was saying, doing some browsing and came across someone's ad who was selling 3 years of Parachutists magazines. Guess he/she wanted to clean out the house.... So, since I had nothing better to do, I decided to re-file my stack of magazines sitting here beside me....it's piled waist high! I had to laugh when I got down the pile to 1997...August to be exact...and saw the cover page! It's my mentor and friend Jim Wallace with Paige MacDonald as his tandem student! Major Dave of Aerial Focus is the photographer. Sweet memories. Where's Paige now? And Major Dave? Jim's no longer at Elsinore, but graces us at Perris these days. I know that I might not read my stored magazines very much, but it sure is nice to sit down occasionally and remember...besides, they make a great reference of the past tool. On these rainy days of winter, take the time to browse back in time....what have you found that sparks a memory? A feeling? A reference? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. Ditto!! Ditto x 4. That's why I have an accountant. Thought this year would be on the + side, then then discovered -this- was the year that all my equipment was needing to be replaced. Used it up, I did... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. How much did the adapter cost you and where did you buy it? The 12" PB has the miniDV output and needs a special adapter to go to an external computer monitor. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. I would trade it in for a digital. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Now -that- I've gotta see. Sign me up for a DVD copy, Deuce. K? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

And he got banned because of this? Yeah. So watch it Kbone. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. True. Yet, doesn't this version have you in more of a quandry over right and wrong vs an instant recoil when the Phantom is played as a gargoyle? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. Saw it. Loved it! Andrew Lloyd Webber did a superb job. It is a moving production along the quality lines of Moulin Rouge and Chicago. Spectacular in vision and cast...voice and delivery. It actually made you ache for the misfortune the now mad Phantom is going through. Wanting to rescue him, but at the same time afraid. The voice of Christine was amazing! I found it hard to believe that such a voice could come out of one so young...yet she's trained from the age of 7 in this art. The naivete of Christine. The wholesomeness and a bit of arrogance of Raoul. The loneliness and immense talent of the Phantom...yet his madness that was developing throughout the film. It brought tears. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
