Where? Perris Weather This Weekend ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Sweet. I thought of doing something like that. Even got on the web and did exhaustive research on Pelicans and other cases of like quality out there. It works well, however with all my gear I opted to carry several packages in their own cases rather than heft a heavy case around. I'm old, ya know. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yep. Stopped by Best Buy yesterday evening and they actually had one in stock. It wasn't on display yet, but when they looked it up on their store computer they were surprised that they had one (and only one) there. They took it out of the box and let me play with it. I have to agree with some who have posted on this forum...about this camera. It's lightweight and smaller, but the grip is smaller...as are the buttons. Be careful if you had fat fingers! After putting the camera through it's paces, I'd still opt for the 20D if I was to trade up from the 300D I already have. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Best Buy had their first one tonight. They didn't even have it on the shelf but searched their computer and found they -did- have one in stock. After some searching they found it and brought it out. I agree with some who have posted. Smaller. Lighter. However, IMHO, the grip is too small and the dial a bit chinsey compared to other Canon products I've played with before. Buttons are pretty tiny, too. Not built for anyone with fat fingers. Think my next digital will be along the lines of the 20D. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

It's already in use by the group that does the sunset tracking jump. You have a group like that, too?! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I knew a team who's coach wanted them to use the name, "The 4 Guys I Slept With Last Night", just to hear Dan call it over the manifest overhead speaker. "Will the 4 guys I slept with last night come to manifest, please?" ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

The more appropriate question is how many DZ's have gone digital. Has yours? Some DZ's will not let you use a digital camera until everyone has one there. They don't want to play favorites. And yes, the 300D works great for tandems. I can get over 30 shots/jump. However, have you considered the Digital Rebel XT? It's new and even better than the original Digital Rebel. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

A friend just loaned it to me today. Said it was a fantastic movie. I have all week to watch it, since 'return date' is the next skydiving weekend. :^) I'll rejoin this thread after I've watched it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

2 full Shoe box's for my storage so far, working on filling box three. Interesting you should say 'shoe box' size. My plastic boxes are just that size, too. :^) 2 going on 3. Nice size. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Stopped by the Tunnel League fun for the 2nd time last night and enjoyed, immensely, watching the very capable body pilots in the fish bowl duke it out for the top slot! As a cameraflyer, it was sure a treat to watch the faces and the talent from somewhere other than backpack side.

I'm using both the G4 865 tower and the G4 1 Gig Power Book. Both have Superdrives. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

IMO, iMove to iDVD and burn takes WAY too long for a tandem operation. That is, unless you want to mail the DVD to them later. I've had 20 minute creations take over 4 hours to render and burn the first copy. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Nah. Think we're more creative than that. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Wimp! Yeah! They should let their cameraflyer do the 'in-between' flying for their break.

Rack? I just use a plastic box. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

1) Jump numbers? 2) Experience flying camera=better chance of usable debrief material. 3) Hire a cameraflyer for that occasional need, you'll be happier 4) A Havok would be a poor choice for mounting a camera. For many, many reasons. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

First off, lets not call us 'vidiots'. It infers that we're less than we are...and IMHO, we're not rhymed with 'idiots'. Second...yeah it's nice to have a nice visable count. However, we all know that the top teams pride themselves on giving a 'stealth count', thus not letting the judges pre-start their exit time.

Who ACTUALLY uses DVD writers with linear editors?
ltdiver replied to MWGemini's topic in Photography and Video
Send a PM to laurie. She is one of the dedicated editors at Perris. She posts here under her name. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Oh, I loved the Pilot's landings, just not the openings. Sorry, upon re-reading my post I didn't clarify this. The openings are great for regular skydives....just a bit to brisk on opening for my likes. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
