Absolutely. I remember how quiet the skies were 8 years ago. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

OK guys, leave this line alone. She's kind of new here. JerryBaumchen You forgot her first line in that claim. It's what makes it all the more fun! Read both links. Thank you for posting yours. I agree with it. Been there, done that, with every step of it (both personally and with past and current patients). Where I work we accept patients with no insurance, then help them apply and qualify for Medi-Cal (California's version of Medicaid). It doesn't pay much, but we accept it as payment in full. Even a few illegals, that have catastrophic injuries, qualify. There is a hole in the system, though, and we need to educate those individuals how to step up and help themselves. If they -can- work, then they should. Then the system should reward them with insurance (personal, not government). For those who -cannot- work, due to injury or mental illness, there is already a system to cover that in place. And we pay for it in taxes already. ltdiver Addendum: I've been injured, on disability, and unemployed before. Each time I've portioned my resources to pay for medical insurance. Might be less food on the table, but my health care was covered. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Don't know at this time. I'll have to research and get back to you. Four idiot teenagers set another fire this afternoon! That's 2 fires now just east of here. They got the boys and are holding them in custody now. Our whole neighborhood is outside watching the flames and water/phoscheck planes/helicopters fly overhead. It's like a dance, beautiful buy horrible all in one. There's a huge house up on the hillside that they're trying to save. Looks like they may actually do it. I've counted 6 planes/helicopters circling . . . almost like flying in formation. Back outside to watch the show. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

What's up with the lame music they chose to use? DC-10 came for a visit this afternoon here in my home town. Fire now in Oak Glen, just east of my place. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, like NickDG and other friends posting on Facebook this weekend, another fire has the DC-10 sharing routes overhead. Just went outside to view the new report of fire up on the hillside just east of here and saw the big bird dropping fire retardant there. A huge red and white angel. We're sure lucky to be able have this tool at SoCal's disposal this summer. It almost wasn't to be. http://www.sbsun.com/ci_13233605?source=most_emailed ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Eli and the Flyboyz was one of the first impressions I had of Perris when I ventured to that DZ back in 1997. His enthusiasm for the sport, and freeflying in general was contagious! How could anyone not smile when they were around him. One afternoon, a few months ago, I stopped by where Eli, Sarah, and their kids were lounging in the shade at the DZ. I'd stopped by to chat and to share an inspiration with Eli that had popped into my mind the week before. How would he like to be a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars"? He'd light up the room! He laughed, but enthusiastically agreed that if he got the call he'd be up for the fun. That was Eli. Always ready to enjoy the next adventure. Well Eli, you can dance with the -real- stars now. How's the view? Hugs to Sarah and the kids. You're in our prayers. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I'm currently watching the HBO Special of "From the Earth to the Moon" (DVD Signature Collection). It's an amazing inside look of the mission to get there and what dedication it took from all involved. Just finished the segment called "1968". That was an amazing year in which one writer summed it up that Apollo 8 "saved that year". If you haven't seen it I highly recommend this mini-series. Awe inspiring. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ouch! Wonder if any (full-faced) 4-way team member realizes the abuse us cameraflyers go through to get judgeable video on jumps like this one. I mean, we have an open-faced helmet and -can't- look away from the pelting rain. We're face first into it! As for getting out the moisture....I've heard 2 different scenarios. 1) drill a little-bitty hole in the side of the lens to let it breath. That, or put the lens in a warm (not hot) oven and bake it out. Might have to do both steps. Drill -and- Bake. What can you lose? The lens is ruined if you don't do anything . . . PS: Was this at Otay or Perris this weekend? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Just got back from seeing District 9. Sure there's a message (which btw is blatantly driven IMO). However, it made me physically ill. No kidding. I don't know if it was the closeness of the screen, or the camera style of shooting, but I came very close to exiting the theater as the actual feeling of hot/cold chills and nausea almost overcame me. Not a movie I would have run out to see, nor do I recommend it. Not really my flavor, nor directorial style. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
