Since pets are usually members of the family, it counts. What I HATE is cleaning up the lawn, garden, etc after my -neighbor's- 20+ cats! I usually chuck it over the fence, back into her yard now . . . Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Saw this for the first time in a patient's room. She was in a nursing home and her daughters had bought it for her! (actually, the whole family were of a good humor about the whole thing, including my patient). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Then please don't see "Nine". Brilliantly cast. Beautifully filmed. However the primary player doesn't seem to have even one scene without a cigarette dangling from his lips. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

looking for stills/vid/helmet setup advice
ltdiver replied to brycey1's topic in Photography and Video
I agree with what Phil says in his post. You have alot of extra nuts, bolts and plates up there that add height and weight. Plus the cameras aren't the lightest (nor the heaviest). IMO a side-by-side is better for your neck. Take a look at the two others that can be set-up side-by-side. Skysystems Vapor Wes Pro and Bonehead Mantle. Both are lighter and you might get a better fit than what you have there. Then there's the topic of which Quick Release set-up to convert to. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
looking for stills/vid/helmet setup advice
ltdiver replied to brycey1's topic in Photography and Video
First question: Why the switch? Old helmet? Neck problems? Just wanting to upgrade? Second question: Do you want side-by-side like you have right now, or do you mind front mounting your still? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Are you kidding? The only real question is "How bright can you make it?" So many times I've wanted to show a short presentation off the web at my conferences, only to be thwarted that we don't have internet connection at work. Then on the small screen of a cell phone it makes it stupid to even try. Wonder if the new iPhone will include such a nice addition. Use WiFi and even a small projector to enhance an inservice. Nice! Working on one right now that could use this touch. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I think I may have found something interesting
ltdiver replied to quade's topic in Photography and Video
Copies between 2 USB drives. Yeah? Now the 4-way, 8-way, or whatever team can all bring their own flash drives to training and walla! You can drag your files onto -their- drive for each team member to take home? No more carting DVD's to the DZ to copy at the end of the day. Do I read this correctly? If so . . . Sweet! I had the same thought. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2SwTKvQe8c It scares me that you and I think the same ... LOVE that episode! That makes three of us. I was going to post the same link, then saw I'd been thwarted by somebody quicker. Love "Friends"! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

How about the BASE jump at the start of "XXX"? Wow! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDwbcbGChrE One take. No blue screen here! Stunt double: Our own Tim Rigby. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
For those long hours here on dz.com, I had to upgrade my cheapy 10 year old computer chair! Picked the new one up on my way home Christmas Eve: Lane Executive Chair. Oh, and my garage got a new garage door. Not so much 'suzy homemaker', but perhaps home builder . . . ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Oakley Jawbone Prescription Sunglasses
ltdiver replied to Boris73's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I use prescription goggles from Sportrx.com. However, I also have Oakley Minutes which are nice wrap-arounds. Oakley will make the prescription lenses for you. Still the most common around the DZ is Gatorz. They'll sell you the frames, but you have to have your own prescription put in. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Holy Shiznit, Do We Really Need THIS Much Awareness??
ltdiver replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I've actually known 2 ladies with this disease. One lost her life to it (a skydiver) and one has to guard her joints because they pop out of joint if she's not extremely careful. Orphan diseases are just that . . . people don't believe they need attention because only a few members of the population have it. That's sad. Just because only a few are afflicted doesn't mean the medical field doesn't need to pay attention and try and find a cure. SMA comes to mind (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Nobody wants to lose a child to the inability to breathe. Losing a loved one, from something that could be cured if research is done, is downright cruel. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
NPR and KFROG can find some pretty bizarre Christmas songs this time of year. A few days ago this was introduced on my drive to work. I almost drove off the road laughing so hard. (no disrespect to any Italians posting here). Dominick the Donkey What other 'traditional' songs from around the world are there that can make us this cheerful? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Casa Grande also has a nice Holiday Inn that is better than the rest of the surrounding hotels/motels. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

This movie is still in limited release and won't come to my neck of the woods until next week, if it does at all. :^( Seriously jealous here . . . ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Here's a better way to shop, even on Black Friday . . . Go on-line and purchase your item with 'item pick-up' at the store. Then just stroll in later and get it. It'll be waiting for you with no hassle or crowd.
