    Pizza

I worked for Dominos in my early 20's. To date THE most stressful job I've ever had. Good thing I'm over it, 'cause I love a good pizza!

    Pizza

Just finished a salad and was wondering what to finish it off with. Thanks for the idea! I'm having a pizza! Yumm! Perfect! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. You guys don't know the meaning of 'sleeping in', do ya? < Yawn, Stretch > Just poured my first cup here in CA . . .
  5. The permanent injuries I've personally seen from hard openings: 1) Cervical fracture resulting in quadriplegia 2) Proximal femur fracture resulting in surgery and one leg 2 inches shorter than the other healthy one. 3) Shoulder recurrent dislocations (shoulder had been injured before from a previous injury and was weak enough to dislocate on the hard opening). All 3 resulted in the individuals hanging up their skydiving gear for good. Of course there are numerous other non-permanent injury stories where you see stars, are sore for a few days, and are back in the saddle by the next weekend... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. I voted 'watermelon' but in truth I really don't like the watermelon fruit! Never have. Must be the sugar. On another note, did anyone try the jelly beans (not sure if they were Jelly Bellys) that were the treat for the first Harry Potter movie? I was enjoying them, straight out of the box, during the show when I got one rather nasty one! I think it was 'ear wax'.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. You're welcome. It was an interesting read for me as well on that subject. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Might want to chat with Tiny Broadwick....She was using a static line back in 1914. Tiny Broadwick History ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. YES! Yes he did! A few friends of mine who are true Trekkies have compiled a list of references the new movie made back to the cannon of all the old movies and shows. And that -might- have been interesting if at any other time in the 40 year history of the series or movies it was established that every time Kirk feels like being a smart ass and pulling the wool over his enemies eyes he eats an apple. But, in this case, it's just STUPID grasping at fanboi worship. Tons of literary characters have quirks that tell the audience something "interesting" is happening in the mind of the hero; Spock raising an eyebrow for instance. However, Kirk eating an apple isn't one of them. That may be, however I'm sorry to read the vile contempt to a simple nod to the former movie. For instance, this Trek fan puts it very nicely (as do a host of others I googled after reading your post). http://open.salon.com/blog/douglas_moran/2009/05/11/star_trek_melancholy Oh well. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Think they just might land at Edwards. Again. Oh, maybe I'll just have to drive up and watch....
  11. Interesting tidbit. Just finished watching "The Wrath of Kahn". Do you remember when Kirk finally admits to Lt Saavik how he won (admitted he cheated) on the Koybiashi Mayru scenario? He was sitting on Ceti Alpha V's underground, in the Genesis stage 2 creation, eating an apple! Think they kind of tied this in to the new movie? For the geeks? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. I think you speak for most of the country, outside of Los Angeles and New York. If you think about it those locations are more Broadway oriented and most likely were Adam supporters. The 'average american' is more likely to listen to a crooner than a screamer. I had to feel a bit sorry for our secretary today. She was 0/2 this season of reality shows. She was voting for Giles (Dancing with the Stars) and Adam (American Idol). Both eye candy, but not enough to identify with the 'average joe' of America. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. Was driving home on the 60 fwy at that time. Guess that cancelled out anything I would have otherwise felt. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Beautiful. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Found the Pepsi Throwback at Stater Bros today. After sampling my first taste of this new beverage I don't believe I will like the current (corn syrup) Pepsi ever again. The new Throwback is lighter, softer in taste, and very refreshing. A very nice change from the syrupy taste of the Pepsi I've tasted over the years. Really hope they keep it longer than the aforementioned 8 weeks! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. One of the most anticipated beverages of 2009 is hitting shelves with the arrival of Pepsi Throwback, a natural sugar version of Pepsi sweetened with a combination of cane/beet sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Possessing an official release date of April 20, this limited edition soft drink will be available for only 8 weeks. http://www.bevreview.com/2009/04/17/pepsi-throwback/ Anyone try this yet? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Or the CSR attempts earlier this year. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Beautiful pictures! I love the waving, colored landscape. Washington you say? Here in CA my garden tulips just finished their cycle and are now dormant plants again. However, I just went outside and the Iris are just starting to show their color now. They'll be open tomorrow, or Monday at the latest! Yeah! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. When times get tough in our own life someone comes our way to encourage our humbleness. I had such a meeting today, and was privileged to to be invited to film his tandem. Malcolm is a humble man who has a dream of service to others who are less fortunate than him. Truly a wonder, and I walked away a better person for meeting him . . . ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. < pout > What, no Friday update yet? It's past 7pm PST already and not one word? < /pout> What, did you already get the record and are out celebrating 'til dawn? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. Can he take the lost wages as a deductible with next year's taxes? My understanding is that anything required for your job, that costs you $$, can be written off. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Result are still pending, however one of the experts is pointing towards the vitamins. Sigh. Wherever it came from it has to be found and remedied. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. LOL WA is losing 2.... There are only like 900 of them.... here Ah, Washington . . . the place where Coffee originated.
  24. 3 places come to mind where one can hang out (with or without friends) and relax in a comfortable environment. 1) Library (nope, can't bring food or noise in with you). 2) Bar (nope, can't hear enough above the din to carry on any kind of conversation. Then there are the drunks who go from amusing to just plain stupid). 3) Coffee Shop (can bring in the laptop for entertainment, work, or school; converse with friends; order a snack when you'd like (or not) ). Take your pick. I'd take the coffee shop any day (doesn't have to be Starbucks, but it's easy to find in almost any city). YMMV. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. Yeah, but I now prefer McDonald's iced coffee over my formerly preferred iced mocha. Less than 1/2 the price, more coffee and tastes better. I've actually tasted McDonald's iced coffee, it really depends on which McDonald....the very first time I tried it..it was good, then the second time was at a different McDonald...didn't taste good at all. I must have gone to one of the McDonalds who makes HORRID coffee. I nearly gagged (and not in a good way ). Actually, "PUTRID" described their coffee better. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
