-
Hiya there HH. Was gonna say something like "Must be nice to travel like that", but then I thought, "Hold on, it's Africa!" Decent DZ's there?
-
Gotta learn to really double check my spelling when I've had a few Heinekens.... Thanks again Sangiro.... There, that's better...
-

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! Why, oh why do I have to be broke all the time???? I'd buy that Sabre2 from you in a heartbeat. Would replace my Sabre 135 real nicely! -
Not drinking before posting can be detrimental also....

Yea, I saw that. 22 a couple of weeks ago. Forgot about the "no plane" part. Still, I know every DZ teaches differently, and I have no problem with those that prefer to pay a packer each and every time. More for the packers that way. I was just curious, as in my training, and in the S/L program I took (though it is in the ISP also), packing training is started earlier than you two had it. Also, to get signed off, it was (for me) a "You pack it, YOU jump it. You chop it and you didn't pass." Like I said, not trolling, nor looking for trouble, nor looking to bash DZ's and their particular training methods. Just looking out for the jumpers, and hoping they are getting the training they deserve.

God I wish. Stuck at home in central WI doing rw now. My origanal post said probably monday.....which DZ is gonna have the best options on a monday or tuesday, not to mention he best prices......
-
OH OH, just 170 or so to go! Damn, no competition for me. Guess I'll just have to wow 'em without an entry fee.
-
Thanks. I'm going from a bright pink car hauler to a bright purple quad axle dump truck.... Big difference.... So.....SCD, SDI, or SLS? lol
-
Is there a difference? I'm lost... Hell, I only got in 2 jumps yesterday, and my wife is already sick of hearing me go on and on about them...
-
ALF alert! Just kidding.... Hi TY. GET IN THE AIR!!!!!
-
Though my thoughts are following right there with Vikings..... I must ask....Do you have alot of jumps? A liscense? If yes, how did you get it? Packing is "supposed" to be a requirement of the "A" liscense.
-
hehehe I'm not gonna call this one, as it seems you have already, though you seem to be beating around the bush a tad bit much.....
-
Clay could end up with it in his little black book . Clay could end up with a reeeeeealy high phone bill....

Well people, Looks like it's gonna be final. Leaving the over the road job for local stuff up here in Wisconsin. Probably taking the truck back monday. Now to figure out which DZ to stop at on the way back north...... I drop the truck off in Vandalia....not planning on staying around there though, the terminal manager is a PRICK, and would probably follow me out to the DZ... So, that leaves SDC, SDI, or SLS..... Oh, whichever shall I choose????

Thanks Sangrio, for making this our home away from the DZ. If it weren't for you, many of us would be totally lost.... Thanks also for giving the space for used gear classifieds, free of charge. Thanks to you I found an older Vector II with a Sabre 135 for $500, and a Cricket 145 for $349. After shipping, handling, and paying my rigger to inspect it all with a fine tooth comb, as well as put it all together and re-pack it, I invested a total of $1026.00 (US). Made a couple of jumps on it yesterday up high, and all I can say is SHWEEEEET! I load it at 1.34 and it is quite fun!!!

In relation to Freebird... I am just sooo damn lucky. I've been with my wife for almost 10 years, 5 married. I started jumping the year after we got married. She wasn't at the DZ for my first 2 jumps (1st day) but she was there the next weekend to see what I couldn't stop talking about. She watched me land my 4th jump (1st w/o radio), looked closely at me and just grinned. Later that night, on the way home, she said she understood my jumping, and would never try and stop me. When I asked what she meant, she just said "I saw the look in your eyes after you landed and thought, If I ever tell him me or skydiving, I'm going to lose." I laughed at that for quite some time, but when I calmed down and thought it over, I had to admit to her that she was right. I found my calling, and not even love can stop it...

I am the epitome of the fun jumper. I jump simply because I love the feel, the rush, the addictive high. I need no ratings. I have no desire to instruct. (Though I will lend helping advice on occasion, usually do what I say, not what I do stuff) All I want in this sport that I have not yet obtained is my riggers ticket (for my own use, and to help keep the prices low for the other fun jumpers) and my PRO rating. The PRO is simply to undercut the prices of other demo teams, and allow the fun jumpers a chance to make those ultra cool jumps. It does help to have friends in the right places for these goals too...

RW today, Saturday, and Sunday.... Friday, on the other hand....Woo Hoo!!! Look out DZ, here I come! I sit here, looking at my freshly packed rig, and really wish I could get out today, but it's suopposed to be 75 degrees with low humidity up here in WI tomorrow..... yea Haw!
-
Yea, I got that same one from a guy at a dz I frequent. It was captioned "Yea, same old here at SEMO, just sitting around..."
-
200+:0:? $$$ Spent at Perris, even though i didn't get a chance to jump. ? First time at Perris.....HA! I'll buy when I actually get to jump there I do like to support gear stores at DZ's. I only resort to internet buying when I'm not near a gear store. I needed a new altimeter (Got a Galaxy) and a new hook knife (Metal). Spent PLENTY on ice cold Heineken too....

Saaaay What!?!?! Student Exemption?!?! There is no such thing! If there is, you guys have it waaay too easy in Canada! OKokok, I have heard of not sticking students with the first jump case, but there is NEVER an exemption for landing on asphalt, OR the runway! BUY YOUR BEER!

-
She's married, I think..... Wait a minute....So am I! Woo Hoo!!!!

[reply Well geez. It would help if you let me know what day and time you were gonna be there. Since I don't work or live ON the dropzone... I kinda hafta make a plan to go out there after work. OK, I apologize. I knew you didn't live there, but I did think you worked there. My mistake. Anywhooo..... Guess what? My load in Vegas fell through. I'm on my way back right now! Still a couple of hours away (20 miles yet to get to Barstow), so I'll be there in time to drink again..... Might have to load in the morn in Riverside. If not, I'll be there THE WHOLE WEEKEND! Woo Hoo! Anyway, anyone that's gonna be there, I wanna meet ya! Look for the BIG PINK TRUCK, ya can't miss it. If I'm not in it, look for the guy in the Tommy shorts and the Xtreme Lunatic/Xtreme Skydiving t-shirt. Lets have some fun, and GET IN TROUBLE....hehehe
