Didn't say you were a judge, but if you remember:
-
Now, at this point, this shit is getting funny to me.

Maybe you are right...maybe it's totally easy to get a pic if you use a video grab. However, I was going to send in some pics (one pic, one capture) and when i read the rules.....it just says photo. It doesn't say anyhting about what format the picture was captured in (35mm, MDV, or otherwise). I think it's kinda shitty to see judges saying that some pepole who sent things in won't be considered for sending in captures.....when thats not against the rules or even advised against. If the grabs look like shit (blurry lines, bad streaks, and some of the other things you noted) by all means don't vote for them. but don't vote for them becuse they are crappy pics, not because they are grabs. To me the best picture should win, regardless of how it was taken. LaFreak

This has probably been suggested before, and I know it would take alot of extra work, but it's still an idea. AOL has AIM and icq Yahoo has Yahoo Messenger Micro$oft has MSN Messenger I'm sure there are many more, but I can't think of them. I get sick of the spam messages I get on all of them, either directly (icq) or indirectly through the email address used to set the others up... Any possibility of a Dropone.com messenger? I am a fairly good webmaster myself (I, however, bow to Sangrio), but when it comes to the inner workings of a messenger, I'm lost.... Like I said, just an idea

Well, in that case, after last night, I gotta change mine now... .75:0:0 (Does it ever stop raining in Fort Worth?) .75..... Those guys got .5 for a video.... She was cute when she knocked on my semi door.... Showed me some _really_ nice "C" size boobies, then stormed away all pissed off when I told her I don't and won't pay for sex, but if she wanted to have fun for the hell of it, she was welcome to step inside....
-
Uh, do you listen to them when you're driving us? Not the ones that say "boobies!--Altitude"....the other ones... Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."
-
Uh Oh, that would mean there is someone out there with like a half dozen or so of the same pm waiting for them...... I'm gonna go hide now....Sorry! Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

That's Private Messages, before I make people mad thinking about some women and their mood swings.... I need a bit of help. I can read my pms, but I can't send them. I've tried both IE 6 and Netscape 4.79. Both have cookies fully enabled, and each time I try to send, both as new and as a reply, I get the message Cannot procede, To field incomplete, or something like that. I tried to mail Support, but my email program is not compatible with my Sprint PCS wireless connection..... Any ideas? Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

That's because you never gave me your freaky number! And it figures, the one time I made it to spaceland, you weren't there! At least I got to meet Scotty before he left. ....One of these days.... And I may be a newbie, but I've been around for a looong time. Just finally decided to make myself known here. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."
-
Now Ann, that wasn't very nice. Remember me? I hope so. My offer still stands, when I get down to spaceland, the jumps are on me. (I'm talking skydiving here people, Skydiving! Get your minds out of the gutter!) Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

If I was to qualify to donate a kidney to your Husband, would your husband be willing to donate, say, $3000 to me as a gratuity? Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."
-
BUT BUT BUT you have a rig! I still have to rent! I still owe $2650 on the Stilleto/Mirage, I'm O neg (donor blood, don't know about organs though) and I answered first!
-
Depends on when and where that gripper is used. Not sure I'd want anyone gripping that gripper at terminal. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

0:0:0 for now.... now if Danny over at Skydive Texas answers my email _and_ the skies over the Fort Worth area decide to open up, I'll see about changing that! Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."
-
illegal? Who cares, I need to get my rig paid off! O negative, my only vice is I smoke, and I practically NEVER get sick. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

hehehe, wow, gotta hold myself back there. I, on the other hand, am described perfectly by the poem. Driving truck has it's advantages. I set my own hours, so I tend to drive most of the night, and sleep away most of the morning. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

Sangrio, Sorry about the loser/thief. I have not attempted to look at his site, and shall not give him the satisfaction of a site hit from this crappy connection. I'm sure recently his web site hits have gone through the roof (thanks to dropzone.com people), which in turn pulls him up higher in the search engines. I shall not give him even that much. I am quite happy with the present, between here and the "wreak". Anyone know how those Denial of Service hits Yahoo and others took awhile ago were orchestrated?
-
I had never really thought about that before. I'm not really sure when I'd put one though. When I'm loaded, I have a hard time just finding somewhere to put the spare tire. Definately a thought though, I'll look into it. How much (aka. how many jumps) does one of those things cost? Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

Noooooo!!!!!! I delivered in Taylor TX at the Chrysler dealership 2 weeks ago, on a Saturday night, then went back to Dallas and sat until Monday Morning........Damn, wish I had known that before! What's the truckstops name? (I'll find it in my truckstop directory, and that will give me directions right to the DZ for the next time I deliver there!) Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

Was there, in my car. Was a windy day last fall, the day following a team members death. (Sorry, didn't know about it at the time. I just wanted to check the place out and scope the semi possibilities. Everything looked great, till I got right to the access raod (the one right next to the railroad bridge). There you go down in a dip, and right back up and into the SDC area. For a normal semi, this would present no problem, but a car hauler.....bad, very bad. the low 5th wheel might hang up, and I can think of better things to do with the cash from a $500 tow bill. I do plan on returning, just not in the truck. Never been there, but would like to check it out. I have been to Skydive Illinois in the truck though. Get there early enough to park in the airport parking lot, right by the road. Really enjoyed my time there, including my first Otter Jump and my first reserve ride. (Not on the same jump either). Yes, I still owe beer and a bottle (but farmer said just get an extra case), and will be paying that up as soon as I can get back there. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

Is that the one North west of Fort Worth? Any general directions? A local city? Please don't tell me to go to the web site, it takes long enough to get this one to load on this crappy connection. The parking sounds totally cool. I'm +/- 75' total length, +10-12 more feet of overhangs, and I cannot jacknife around in a circle, due to hauling cars. Is there plenty of room to make a BIG circle? Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

That is literally the only one I don't have to worry about on my route. Vandalia is my home terminal (Waggoners Trucking), and my car is parked inside the shop, ready to go whenever I'm there. Problem is, I'm never there.
-
Yes, and like I said, thin. More helpful than most, but still thin, and somewhat inaccurate. Example: I just wrote a review for a dz that I have been frequenting for some time now.(South East Missouri Skydiving Club) Last time I looked, it was not listed, and this time, it is, but it says GM DZ, and I beg to differ, as it is not. I guess individual answers on dz locations will be the most helpful. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

9-12, depending on the size... I have been to Spaceland, once, and loved the place. I have a, um, "friend" here in Houston that gave me a ride there, and probably would again, but she has now found gainful employment.....damn. Also, I've been in email contact with a couple of others that jump there, but, well, I'm just not the imposing kind of person. I hate that tag along feeling. Really sucks too, that I never know when I'm going to have to pack up and leave, to load and head out of state. Oh, I didn't mean "big" dz's. Just dz's with big parking lots. If all they have is a c182, fine, that's what I started out in.....actually, I kinda miss it. The hot, sweaty close quarters of hung over skydivers, reeking of stale, cheap beer....... ~sigh~......ahhh, the memories. Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."

OK, after months of fighting to find drop zones I can fit my loaded, car hauler semi into, I've come up with very few. The available databases of dz's are weak and thin, at best. USPA's gm list is fairly extensive, but lacks much information. Also, it (of course) does not mention non gm dz's. I tend to gravitate toward non gm dz's, but that's just a personal preference, and like most skydivers, I'll jump anywhere I can get altitude (over 1500 ft please). Does anyone have a decent list of dz's, both gm and non gm? If not, my usual routes are from central Wisconsin (home), down through Illinois (Vandalia-home terminal), and usually ending in Dallas or Houston. I know where the gm dz's are along this route, but the only one I've been into is Skydive Dallas, (forget Waller and Spaceland, unless someone wants to give me a ride to and from the Port of Houston area) and I'll never get in there with this truck if they are actually jumping. Any other non listed dz's in these areas that might accomodate a 75 foot long semi? Rev Jim A-39869 "It's just what I do..."
