  1. I'll toss hookie-poo and me in there. We will be getting there may 21st leaving the 26th. Fly it like you stole it!
  2. Hmmmm....None of you even Jump mirages. BTW.....Jimbo why do you still have that Raven, you know PA did the same thing with thier reserve recall, they kind of set the standard for recalls. Since before that Icarus ate the costs for thier recall.....Hmmm.....I'm betting all recalls from now on will have the customer eating the cost. Fly it like you stole it!
  3. The mod doesn't affect the front risers pressure or recovery arch at all. It is done to the upper controle lines only, no other lines are touched, so the canopy reacts exactly the same during front riser turns. Well as long as your steering lines are long enough to not deflect the tail when you pull down on your fronts. Relining with the complete safire2 line trim will give you a shorter recovery arch and I think a bit higher front risers pressure since they change the trim on all the lines not just the steering lines. I have heard several complaints from people use to the safire1 recovery arch who sent their safire in for a reline and it came back with a 2 lineset. I have also heard from people who wanted the 2 lineset and were much happier with it rather than the 1. So I guess choose your poison. Fly it like you stole it!
  4. Ok the story of how the mod came about, it was actually made for a BASE canopy that had some issues with it's flare, or more like lack of flare. Well a lot of people claimed the same thing on thier Safire, so since it worked so well on a BASE canopy Derek tried it on his own safire, his roommates and several other friends of his (he test jumped them all 1st), the results were great and everyone loved it, the softer openings for a lot of them were a greatly appreciated bonus. These were all safires made in the US, so if you have one from NZ you probably don't have the flare issues or opening issues, kind of like affected crossfires. If you don't have an problem with getting plenty of flare out of your canopy I don't see any reason for getting the mod, which is really to fix the flare problem. (I'm thinking of trying it on my sabre for the openings) Wendy, PM'ing you. Fly it like you stole it!

  6. Unfortunately, we didn't do the mod and the one Icarus does is different than the one we do. I wish we could help, but without seeing the canopy there is nothing we can do. Fly it like you stole it!

  10. Are you going to have RWS do the replacement or your local master (may a senior can do this) rigger? Fly it like you stole it!
  11. Well normally there are more indicator than that, such as money disappearing off your account. Loads that you were manifested for, that suddenly you weren't on anymore, being called a slut in the middle of the packing area by the DZOs wife......Ummmm.......well the list goes on and on. If nothing else like that has happened, then you should have gone to the person who took the BPA paperwork from you to send in and talk to them about it. They might have been able to talk to manifest about letting you jump, or if they forgot to send it in, you would have known about it then rather than waiting weeks for a card that never comes. 13. Well since I don't get off work till 5:30 I won't be able to jump, but since there is enough daylight I'll probably be able to take the babies to the dog park. That way they can run around and the cat can get a few hours off from tag-team cat chasing. Fly it like you stole it!

    PLEASE!!!!!!

Well since I'm working, I guess I'm safe......well unless a server drops on my head or something. Fly it like you stole it!
  16. You know if he would ask around he might find out that it's becomming more and more the norm. I'm averaging 1 death and 3 severely hurt friends a year, from screwing up under a perfectly good canopy. Severly hurt = never able to skydive again and most can't walk. Fly it like you stole it!
  17. Last I heard the RavenMax is still waiting on it's TSO stuff to be done. Fly it like you stole it!
  18. BWHAHAHAHA......from what I've seen here you are lucky if your rig isn't repacked in the main packing area. Ok maybe it isn't that bad, but it sure is close. Now we do run the humidifier in the winter, but that is more so you don't get electrocuted by the cat than for packing reserve since Derek doesn't seem to have any problems packing here vs. packing in Houston. Well as long as the reserve is made for the container and not 1 size bigger (ie. 193 in a container made for a 176 tight) Fly it like you stole it!

    Women only

I peeked once..... Now I have to wear an eye patch and the nightmares never end. All I wanted to know was if there was a prefered way of wearing a chest strap. They attacked me like a pack of wild animals..... They pinned me down and did my hair. They made me watch "my best friend's wedding" over and over again. Then they all asked me if their butts looked big in their jumpsuits. It was awful! If you do go bring Herbal tea, pamprin and scented candles. It's too late for me but if you go prepared you might have a chance. Ed BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... Oh my god to funny, and to true..... Wanna come join our slumber party Fly it like you stole it!
  20. Well maybe someone lives in oregon and would be willing to bring it with them when they came to Eloy next. Fly it like you stole it!
  21. We have both in our house (Micron 304 & Mirage MXS), and they are both really good rigs. You can tell that they are bascially the same design with just some minor differences. Such as the internal riser covers, the reserve pilot chute, and asthetics. I think if you get either rig you will be happy, but it might come down to options you want. Do you want chest rings, you can only get that on the mirage, do you want the skyhook, you can only get that on the vector. Fly it like you stole it!
  22. My experience is the same as Talon's I have a crossfire1 104 and jumped a crossfire2 108, both at about 1.2. Also both were made in europe. Now my crossfire1 116 which was made here in the US, that one was a different beast. Pull a front riser down and watch the nose fold under, obviously it was one of the severely affected ones. 25. Zebra Look at you, Zebra! Could you have any more style? Your charm and polish put the rest of those uncivilized beasts to shame. Like your zebra counterparts who have keen eyesight, you too, have a discerning eye when it comes to — well, most everything — from who you're attracted to, to where you find them. There's just something about you. Maybe it's those classically bold stripes that people just can't say no to. You don't need a personal shopper to know that black never misses. Speaking of never missing, your fertile love life is so "on," it's probably as steamy as the watering holes that you roam. You tend to travel the dating plains with your hip herd flanking you on each side. Your entourage helps you spot potential mates and ensures that you don't migrate too far from your ideal. Lucky for you, you have no problem attracting glances and advances from some of the finer species in your habitat. As for your alluring animal magnetism, your class and good looks will surely impress any prey as you make your way through the wild expanses of love. Fly it like you stole it!
