It was tight, if that pack volume for the spectre 170 is correct it will not fit. Due to the very small harness over stuffing the main container will make it uncomfortable. They did a few things such an narrowing the yoke and "stepping" the container up on the harness to make it fit better. So in a way it's not as flexible to over stuffing as other containers in the same size. Reflex doesn't have the stats up for this container anymore but the canopy sizing for it was 150/135 main 150/135 reserve. I do not recommend putting a 170 in it. On BillVon's web site I found these pack volumes, so while I still don't recommend it, it looks like it may fit. For any girls reading this and are worried that they may not be able to pull either thier cutaway or reserve soft handle here is what I did. Get a small peice of hook velcro about 1/4-1/2 inch long the width of the velcro on you cutaway handle. Place it at the bottom of the handle, this will make it easier to peal the handle since the velcro is already "started". I've had one cutaway this way and had no issue pealing the handle. If you want coverage in the mountains of CO the only one to go with is AT&T, on the other hand if I ever get back in to cingular coverage I'm going back with them. They always treated me great even when I had those 2 months when I changed plans like 10 times. And thier nationwide plane was cheap compared to some of the other ones. Derek has emailed airtec several times about letting him test jump one up here in CO with a wingloading of 3.1:1 on a VX60. He has yet to get a responce. Here his average swoop starts at 1000ft, he can easily start higher if he wants. In Houston he was clocked with a lazer at 90 mph in his dive and that was when he still had less than 20 jumps on the canopy. The odds are he can make it fire, but since airtec won't respond he is waiting for the old ones to become pumpkins and then test one. Fly it like you stole it!

crosspost from the women's forum Well it's official we have a new Colorado Women's state record set at Mile Hi Skydiving. Show up at 7:30, stretch chat with everyone I haven't seen in a few weeks or months, get the briefing, find out slot assignments do a few run outs then wait for the clouds to clear....and wait.....and wait....and wait....and wait... ok 12:30 load 1 on a 20 min call and we are on load 2. 1st jump - went really well, the base did funnel but rebuilt quickly and although ~180 off heading all the divers did a great job adjusting and flying around the formation to their slots. There were a few people out, but it was a great start to the afternoon...ok the cobwebs have been cleared. Jump 2 - Base got some casa bites, again re-built quickly and on heading (WAY TO GO!!). All the divers were already on their radial and flew into thier slots. The girl docking on me was to be the last one to dock signaling to the organizer that everything was built. I feel her dock on my leg.....that means we got? Look at Mary and see her smiling threw her fullface....YIPPEE we got it!!!!! New Colorado Women's state record!!! An 18-way.....and to add a little to it, here in CO the highest altitude we can get is 12.5...so yes we kicked some ass. 200 jumps when I got a crossfire loaded @ 1:1 (actually ordered a safire but they made the wrong canopy) 300 jumps crossfire loaded @ 1.2:1 (I'll proably never go smaller than this due to a bad knee) Also, I live with a canopy coach so I get a lot training wether I want it or not, but without that I would not have even considered keeping the original crossfire. Skydive the Rockies They don't have it on their webpage but about every other month Derek (hooknswoop) offers a class. It's best to contact Derek though about it since he will work with you on the date and sends reading material out ahead of time. Fly it like you stole it!

As a general rule, I don't worry about him. Sometimes though, like when we were in Perris I worried about him under canopy. Nothing to do with his skills, but there were people beating him down, and I was constantly stressed out with people spiraling in the pattern and landing diagonal across the landing area. LEARN TO SLIDE INSTEAD OF RUN!!!!!! Already past that part, the canopy wasn't flying very fast, but the ground was rather uneven and it was a crosswind landing (landing area is north/south ony). I just stepped wrong and since I have a bad knee it decided it don't like the way I put my foot down, I've sprained it just walking down a flight of stairs, when it wants to go it goes. I didn't do anything wrong, and if I did Hook would have told me in no uncertain terms that I screwed up since he was watching the whole thing. so BTFU! Fly it like you stole it!

oh now that just sux... what happened? Nothing exciting. Perfectly normal landing, middle of running it out, I slipped/tripped/whatever and twisted my knee. Hook was watching it and couldn't figure out why I went down. On the other hand, I made Mouth biff her landing cause she could hear me screaming threw both her and my fullfaces.
