This is the worse part, shouldn't her husband be in charge, isn't that a right of marriage that she willingly gave him when they married? I'd hope that my SO would do the right thing in a place like this. In legal battles a spouse has higher standings than parents. If it's true that he is engaged to another woman and has a child with her. Also, if it's true that there is a malpractice suit settlement that is pending her death. Then I wonder where his loyalties really lie. Fly it like you stole it!

We don't have a home DZ, he is pretty much unhappy at any DZ. We walk on a DZ, he sees everything that they are doing that breaks BSRs and FARs, and is pretty much in a pissed mood after that. Only places where he wasn't like that was Eloy and Perris, and that is only cause they are so big that if they are doing something wrong he can't see it. Since I don't have the money to fly us places to go jump where he might be happy, it's just easier to not jump. Fly it like you stole it!

If you think 2 ways aren't challenging then you aren't trying hard enough. Mix up the dives and try stuff. Trust me, you can build some significant skill on 2 ways alone. Oh...and make Hook come to Eloy....come on...I know you wanna

There is also a huge difference between the modded and un-modded crossfire 1s. Hooknswops and I have both jumped a crossfire 1 un-modded 104 and a crossfire 2 108. Since I don't swoop you may want to PM him for info about that. Both open dreamy soft, but the 2 seemed to open a bit harder than the 1. Front riser presure was about the same on both, although maybe a bit higher on the 2. The 2 turned faster than the 1 (it's more tapered than the 1) and was more senstive to harness imput. The 2 seemed to have more bottom end the than the 1. The 2 had a longer recovery arch and seemed to fly a bit faster than the 1. Fly it like you stole it!

Where bouts did you jump in Texas? Houston, Dallas, and San Marcos. I got around. Fly it like you stole it!

I'm like you Wendy, Due to work I have 1 day a week I can jump which is Sunday, which is pretty dead for the DZs around me. So after being spoiled in TX, with doing bigways and really challenging jumps, I'm now stuck doing 2ways, cause there aren't any fun jumpers around. To me that is a waste of money. So now I rock climb, snowboard, and do other things i can do on my days off which are during the week. Maybe someday if we move out of CO I'll start jumping again, as it is, right now, I'm debating about staying current enough to go to boogies or just sell my gear. (sell my gear is winning) Fly it like you stole it!

Weather is suppose to be crappy this weekend, but if the weather is semi-nice I'm suppose to take some girlfriends out climbing. Fly it like you stole it!

Any weekend other than Thanksgiving I should be able to get off. So if you guys end up doing something impromptu, tell me and I bet I can get the time off. Fly it like you stole it!

errrr.....english please Does that mean you want to go out with us? If so, We usually go on Sundays outside somewhere. Clear Creak Canyon or Golden Cliffs, although last weekend we got so frustrated trying to figure out which climb was which we kind of gave up after accidently ending up on a 10b. I don't think I can go thanksgiving. holidays are really hard for me to get off, especially since I'm taking 2 weeks off over christmas. *pout* Oh well, I'll definately keep an eye out for something after X-mas or during/at eloy. Rosa, I tried on some Saphhires at REI on Sunday...LOVE THEM....unfortunately I wear a EU 36 and all they had was 37 & 35 Right now I have a pair of 5.10 mojaves and a pair of Scarpa Infernos (little red devices of torture), so my next pair as soon as I can kill one of my current pairs will be saphhires. I probably spend as much time on rockclimbing.com as I do here. Although I swear they have the same threads over there as are here... Dating a non-climber = dating a wuffo trad vs sport = RW vs FF Fly it like you stole it!

Both Derek and I would definately be up for this. We have rope, quickdraws, and stuff for the anchors if anything specially is needed we can make it (gotta love having a rigger around.) Since at the moment we only sport climb we don't have any protection type gear although that might change by the time we do this. Also, I have an extra pair of shoes that should fit a woman who wears a 6 or 6.5. Yes and I'm a shoe and backpack whore and proud of it. Fly it like you stole it!

Tell them you are switching to Level (3), it will fuck with thier heads since Level3, is the phone company's phone company. *evilgrin* Fly it like you stole it!

If you pay the bill, it's in your name and you just expense it, then yes you can keep the phone, or atleast the number if you have to buy another phone. I did it when my last company was canceling cell phone usage and going to just pagers. Fly it like you stole it!

turn around....I need to see how the back looks to decide if they look good or not. Fly it like you stole it!

*pout* I sooo love climbing outside, but it was way to windy today, so we opted for the gym instead. So not even close to the same. I like having to figure the total puzzle out, not having to go ok, does that hold have orange tape or red. Outside, if it's there use it, if there is nothing smear...... Oh well hopefully we will have nice weather Sunday so we can go hit the cliffs. Fly it like you stole it!

Micron - Sorry it's kind of far away. Closer pic attached taken by Mike M. The Mirage is just to the above of the Micron. Fly it like you stole it!

On the left is a micron 304 with a PD106 and a VX60 no CYPRES. On the right is a Mirage MXS with a PD113 and a crossfire 104 w/CYPRES. The key to both rigs is finding a rigger who is very familiar with packing them, there are a few tricks to make both look good with very few to no wrinkles. Fly it like you stole it!

Crossfire-2 To be delieverred tomorrow
skycat replied to kansasskydiver's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
The way I describe what to do with the nose of a crossfire is "give it a courtesy tuck". Just kind of jiggle it so it's even with the back of the canopy and that is it, don't push it in any farther. Quarter the slider and lay her down. She doesn't need anything specially to open sweet. I've gone so far as to leave the nose completely exposed and not pulling the slider out at all in hopes of a fast opening......no such luck. Fly it like you stole it! -
I've flown a cobalt 120 at 1.1:1 yeah, I know you've said that is underloading it. I would definitely say that this is no beginner canopy. Twitchy in the harness, very easy to steer with the harness, and what do new jumpers tend to do on landing.......reach with one leg or the other. There was quite a bit of oversteer, and the toggles were very touchy. It lost a lot more altitude in a turn than my sabre (since it "flys bigger" I'm comparing it to my sabre 135 not my sabre 120), but less than my crossfire 116. It felt like flying my Stiletto 97, well except it didn't have as much forward speed. 1.1 vs. 1.3 I think it is a nice entry level elliptical that you can really learn to fly the crap out of, just don't think it should be someones 1st canopy. Now that your new designs should be to market soon, you won't have to push this so much as a beginner canopy. Fly it like you stole it!
