  1. Actually it depends on the person, like someone small like me takes longer since it's a larger percentage of blood lost, but that it can take up to 3 days to be able to skydive with no side effects. So I'd say listen to your body, if you can do normal activites then jumping should be no problem, if you are tired and light headed wait a day or so.

What CNN is saying is he was shot after stabbing the El Al cheif of security. Looks like he had 2 guns and a knife, oh and he wasn't a US citizen, so if I'm correct he couldn't have gotten those gun via legal means. Fly it like you stole it!
  3. Ack...I'm suppose to get off work in just a few min and I get a phone call from a certain someone saying he forgot my rig at home... What....how could you forget that one little thing....looks like I'm going to have to break out the packing paddle tonight Fly it like you stole it!
  4. Not work safe....not work safe!!!! Fly it like you stole it!

Sitting here at work watching Fox News, and what pops up on the screen. A shooting at LAX so far 2 dead and 2 injured. Fly it like you stole it!
  7. I've become very familiar with that feeling as of late we jump from 17.5 MSL. The numbness in your hands and feet, the tingling lips. After getting on the ground the headache and nausea. Well luckly the last 2 weekends I've been able to go to altitude without feeling sick and last weekend I felt fine after the jump. I know hypoxia affects people differently, like Derek doesn't seem to be affected at all, while I was ready to throwup on his lap the first weekend. I've noticed though once I'm out of the plane I don't notice the symptoms anymore, but that could just be the adrenalin. Fly it like you stole it!
  8. I'll be at LP, and I'm even going to let HooknSwoop tag along. Fly it like you stole it!

Well Derek usually gets on my butt about once a month to clean my cables and flex my 3 rings. Fly it like you stole it!
  10. Girl, it's time you took that strength you found when you started skydiving, and cut that man away. All I've seen in your post the last few weeks about him was how unhappy you were. If you feel the need to take something to do things with him and his friends, why even bother doing them. As you have discovered from jumping there is a whole new world out there full of freedom and life. Why allow yourself to be put in a cage? Fly it like you stole it!
  11. You know I'm not sure if I am ADHD, but alot of the stuff other have been saying fit me. I know my patients is very short so if at all possible I avoid things that would set me off. Like right now Derek really wants me to play chess with him, but I know I can't sit still for that long. It would drive me nuts and I'd end up throwing chess pieces at him. I also know that if I start a project like my FF pants of my dogs camping bed roll I have to do the whole thing right away or it will get pushed to the side forgotten about. On the other hand it makes me a great trouble shooter, since my mind can go in so many directions at once and can look at so many different things at once I can pick out correlations and trends that others tend to miss cause they focus on one thing. I will go with what someone else said about diet, as long as I'm taking my vitamins and supplements I do seem to be able to focus better and actually sit still instead of constantly fidgiting. Although I think fidgiting can be a good thing especially in a job where you don't move much, I mean how can you gain weight if you are always moving. Oh wait maybe it's the shivering, cause someone thinks the office should be 60 degrees. Fly it like you stole it!
  12. Yep that was at my "home" DZ, the airport they fly out of is between my apt and my office. I'm still waiting for one of them to take a chunk of roof off my place they fly so damn low.
  13. If you get to "Pookieloveybear", get a room. Ummm...excuse me but pookie bear is mine, and he is currently in BFE OK or CO by now. Pookie Pie is hers.....keep it strait damnit Fly it like you stole it!

  15. Hey now, no whining. It happens to everyone, last year when I ordered my mirage they came out with the unisys, 1 week before my container arrived. One month after my crossfire1 arrived I found out Icarus was coming out with the crossfire2 was able to jump it, loved it was pissed that I didn't hold out a little longer to get my crossfire1 replaced. As for resale value, I seriously doubt it will be hard to sell G3s there are so few up for sale as it is. Don't worry you will love you G3, and from what I could tell, the G4 is kind of like the odyssey, some cool changes, but nothing major.
  16. Well since I got the comment again this weekend that my track was the best the person had ever seen, and I almost tracked myself to a bad spot I figure I can definately comment on this one. What I did to learn to track was lay on the ground on my stomach. I'd look to the horizon (how else are you going to be sure you are tracking strait?) press my shoulders down to the ground and press down with my hands and feet, tightening up my stomach muscles which curled my spine up making sure that my hips and stomach were slightly off the ground. Did that over and over until it was muscle memory. Then after having that nice and stable in the air I started including shrugging my shoulders up to my ears. Let's see my feet are about 6 inches apart and my hands are about 4 inches from my hips. As for where I hold my head it isn't with my chin in my chest, but more in line with my spine allowing me to look down and also forward. You see I never have to look between my feet at people, because they are always much lower than me. Fly it like you stole it!
  17. Naaaa....I'm just really good at google searches Since there are only 2 kinds of slurry bombers that fly over my apt it was easy to figure out which one that one was. Fly it like you stole it!
  18. Just a little trivia on the plane, it's a WWII bomber one of only 4 still flying it's a PB4Y-2, basically a B-24 made for the navy with a different tail. I'm 99% sure the 2nd to the last picture on this page is the one that had the near miss. It's the one that is always flying over my house anyway.
  19. Sure you're not....... whatever you say, I won't tell anyone about the little school boy outfit in your closet. Fly it like you stole it!

  22. hey guys think you can send some of that water my way? We have to damn many fires, you could barely see the ground from altitude due to all the smoke. Fly it like you stole it!
  23. Just be sure to look for nicks on your slider grommets, I remember from somewhere that a slink failed due to being cut by a gommet that was nicked up from hitting the metal links. Fly it like you stole it!
  24. Hey sweety, we just hit 101....I think that puts us at something like 9000MSL. Come on....jump.....I'll be sure to get video Fly it like you stole it!
