    Zip Ties

That is why Derek leaves Fox sleeping out in the vestibule. You have to be VERY good to unzip the vestibule not wake the dog (who is probably already awake cause the sun is up) and ziptie the tent shut. Then again better hope Derek hasn't worke up....he always has his little 9mm toy with. Fly it like you stole it!

    Zip Ties

Well it all started about a year ago when I first started dating Derek. He had just gotten a job at NASA's NBL(neutral boyance lab) as a diver and had brought 4 of his co-workers out to do AFF. Well the 1st 3 went with no issue, then it was the girl of the groups turn to go. On the plane she strait off told him....you fuck with me in freefall and I'll have a whole pocket full of zip-ties with your name on them. To this day I think that is still the only time he has been threatened by a student. Anyway, as it turns out the NBL uses Zip Ties for everything, and not you little run of the mill zipties, they have ones big enough to go around your waist. So the divers have alot of "down time" while the austronauts are working/training on the mock ups, and usually they end up pulling pranks on eachother with the biggest one being zip tieing things to thier SCUBA gear, even so far as zip tieing eachother to mock ups. Basically ever since Derek was threatened with a pocket full of zip ties, zip ties have been the toy of the year. Fly it like you stole it!

  8. Hey I read in here somewhere you have a cazer pilot chute. You may want to get it checked by a rigger. I have/had a 24 inch ZP cazer and was having massive hesitations, I could have sworn the hesitations felt like they were getting longer. The other thing I noticed was that the kill line had shrank quite a bit and was basically out of calibration after less than 50 jumps. Well after Derek looked it over turns out the bridal streched and the white tapes on the inside were about 3 inches to long. After he put it in accordance to Bill Booths recommendations (built a new bridal and shortened the tapes) I haven't had a single hesitation since. Fly it like you stole it!
  9. GREAT thanks! ...now all I have to do is find out if they are going to need AFF or tandem help for the weekend so I can slut hooknswoop out while we are there Oh hey almost forget, just an FYI for anyone going the elevation there is something like 5300ft. So bring the big canopy if you are from sea level, or on second thought don't.....I need some entertainment Fly it like you stole it!
  10. Derek and I plan on heading out there the 8th and driving back to Denver the 11th. Not sure what days we are jumping or anything like that. I know we are doing Mystère by Cirque du Soleil or Blue Man Group probably sunday night, but if there is other who want to go we are more than willing to switch the night. I think we are going to stay at one of the hotels though, so we don't have to worry about drinking and driving. Fly it like you stole it!

yes paula you must sew ping binding tape to your leadbelly now. You are a rigger in training and the #1 thing to know as a female rigger in training is how to make everything match even if it didn't come way Cyndi....lets see I have you down for a pair of FF pants and a weight belt....anything else you need to match your gear? 15. don't forget that WRX comes with sports car insurance prices due to the turbo. I'm actually going to get a WRX Wagon, but since I'm going to it from a Mustang GT insureance isn't an issue. For me cargo space and able to have the power to climb a mountain are the deciding factors. Fly it like you stole it!
  16. hehe...you should have heard the manifest chick bitch about the landing they gave her. She was wearing nothing but chaps and a thong, after that landing she had road rash all over her ass. Fly it like you stole it!

    Skydiver Pets

Oh he does....I feed him, I pet him...I even scratch him under the chin. gotta love facial hair. btw...Mem was a rescue kitty Fly it like you stole it!
  18. Actually I moved from Houston to CO so here was my experience on openings in thinner air. In Houston - nice snivel, very little searching, soft opening. In Denver - very long snivel, LOTS of searching, 2nd stage of the opening is harder. Basically it takes longer for the canopy to catch the air to open, but once it does it opens much faster. Skydiver Pets

Yeah pretty much the only time he looks happy is when he is sprawled out in bed with someone scratching his belly and chin.....Of course that usually means he has the same look, just with drool running down his chin. But that is his happy look. Actually he is a pure breed persian full name "Cat Springs Memnocks My Game" got him from a breeded that wasn't treating him very well. Basically although he loved his ladies and knew what to do couldn't get them knocked up. Turns out both his little boys were in his abdomen. (poor baby had to have 2 surgeries to get them taken out) Fly it like you stole it!
  20. When I went through AFF sticking your tongue out meant legs out on those dives where the JM was infront of you. So no matter what, the 1st thing any instructor/coach should do when going to teach at a new DZ is find out what the signals are. Fly it like you stole it!

  23. Ummm...Derek would, I think he gets a hard on just seeing them on the road. Oh and you should hear the stories he tells of what he did to the ones he got to drive in the army. Something about a desert with night vision goggles and driving them as fast as they could go Fly it like you stole it!
  24. part of the reason they could feel off is cause you are up higher than your normal opening altitude, especially if you are dumping at altitude. Due to the thinner air, your canopy will seem to search more cause it really is looking for more air. It can also open a bit hard (at terminal) when you are dumping at a higher altitude. Fly it like you stole it!
  25. Anyone here have an in with a travel agent, if enough of us get together and get several rooms we might get a group discount. Fly it like you stole it!
