Just for Ann..... Fly it like you stole it!
-
That is how my 1st DZ was until a few people ruined it for the rest of us. Oh well Fox is at a DZ now where she is the DZ dog, still tied up during the day, only barks when hook swoops her, and gets to run around and play with all the cadets during wind holds and after sunset. As a bonus since she is also a loft dog, she has stay and down to a fine art, cause sometimes she gets to close to the rigs and doesn't realize it, so a quick stay and down will get her to stop before she steps on lines. Normally she just lays on her dog bed and dreams about chasing squirls. Fly it like you stole it!

I think this is the 1st time we have seen him in 10 years......cause he looks about 10 years older than every other "saddam" we have seen. The other "Saddams" all looked about the same since '91. Fly it like you stole it!

Bwahahaha.....could be worse dave....you could be stuck with a girl friend like me....poor hookie-poo Fly it like you stole it!

we have the topskin of one being used for a bike cover...the bottom skin was used for some intentional cutaway testing. They are built by flight concepts, they make all the same canopy just gave the different sizes differnt names this one is a 9-cell 195. Fly it like you stole it!

hehe...when I saw the name snow kitten I thought you tossed your cat in a snow bank like I did.....let's just say mem was not amused. Fly it like you stole it!

My cat gets that hair cut ever 6 months or so, he is in dire need of one now, but I have to wait a few weeks for the weather to stay warm. Fly it like you stole it!

The roads are really slushy, wet and yucky. Took a few tries to get my car out it's parking spot....unlike most people I have a job that doesn't allow for snow days, so this should be fun in the mustang. Fly it like you stole it!

How much are normal jump tickets at your US DZ???
skycat replied to konradptr's topic in The Bonfire
This is why I'll still be jumping at skydive the rockies. And if the prices are going up just cause of the otter they can count me out of the womens state record. Fly it like you stole it! -
I load my 97 at 1.3 and had the same issue, when I got down I was told I need to go smaller. After hitting the guy in the shoulder and laughing at him. I thought about it and he is probably right, while I don't have that issue on my crossfire at 1.2, I had that problem on every other canopy I jumped at 1:1 and lower. So start drinking more beer. Spaceland Red Bull Wings Qualifier Pics
skycat replied to flyboyshell's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have a comment......make a link so those of us with slow web connections don't have to wait 30 min for your 1st page to load. Fly it like you stole it! -
That Synergy is a PA canopy which means it has the same measuring issues as the original safires. It's about 8% smaller than a PD, so in PD terms you are flying a 155ish canopy putting you at ~1.3 at 50 jumps. Bad juju... Fly it like you stole it!

Hey even those black rigs get dirty. Derek washed his last fall after Lost Prairie, and it was amazing it went from a blackish brown to brite black. Fly it like you stole it!

Humidity also makes a huge difference. If it is extremely dry (AZ/CO) then it won't pack down as small as if it was in Houston. Fly it like you stole it!

It's amazing how "brand loyal" and easily swayed by advertising skydivers can be. I've told people that the custom Javelin they are ordering in March will be done in July, then I tell them they can have an Infinity by the end of April, a Wings, Voodoo, Talon 3 or Mirage by the middle of May, a Vector3 by the middle of June... and they insist on the Javelin because "it's the best" - and somehow they know this without ever jumping anything else. Sounds like the people who don't like to beleive Derek that Javalins have the same manufacturing issues as every other rig, and that for awhile there wasn't 2 rigs that were the same, little things tweaked here and there, it was like they were doing R&D with rigs in the field. Hmmm....looks the pugs are the alpha dogs in this house. Fly it like you stole it!

I got Fox from the pound at about 9 months to a year and it took her about 3 weeks to potty train. Depending on his situation before you got him he may not have been an inside dog. Bascially you have to treat him like a little puppy and start potty training from scratch. Walk him a lot, keep him in a crate when he can't be supervised, and give him lots of love and attention. Just remember he doesn't speak english, so your actions speak louder than words. Don't hit him don't rub his face it his mess (this can actually cause other unwanted behaviors). Don't give him free roam of the house, that is something he needs to earn. Invest in a dog/child gate, keep him in the kitchen or other non-carpeted areas. Invest in cleaning agents that remove the smell when he does have an accident. He won't be perfect overnight, but if you use watching and confining tecniques you should have him 100% potty trained in a few weeks. PM me if you want some specific tips. Fly it like you stole it!

I have a Wings container with the codura BOC and have not had any troubles with it. But who's to say that I won't have trouble on my next jump. It was hook that packed it.....I didn't have anything to do with it...*whistle* Fly it like you stole it!

Sounds like my experince with NorthWest, I avoid flying them like the plague now. On one trip from Fargo to houston, turbo-prop from Fargo to Minniapolis.....WAY to much turbulance flying over downtown, almost needed the little bag (not carriers fault). Run to my connection since it was only suppose to be a 30 min lay over. Plane isn't there yet delayed for an hr. plane arrives, get ready to board, they said there would be a slight delay. 3 hrs later, I go up to see about getting on another flight, they said it should only be another 30 min or so. So I go back to sit and wait. 2 hrs later they cancel the flight due to mechanical problems. There are no other flights out to Houston. So being stuck in MN wouldn't be so bad, but the airline wouldn't even put the people up in a hotel. Ended up spending the night at the airport, since due to weather other flights were cancelled and all the hotels in the area were booked. Then I had to fight with ticketing to get on the 1st flight of the morning since they booked everyone from that flight on the daytime flights since there was plenty of room on those. My lugage arrived 2 days later. Every time I flew with them before and after something always seemed to happen, but that one was definately the worst. So as long as there are other options I won't fly NW. Fly it like you stole it!

Doesn't your cobalt have that nose mod done to them? That changes the opening characteristics from stock. Fly it like you stole it!
