those BB guns with springs are pretty damn powerful. I had a BB gun with air power and a dart fired from it would penetrate half an inch of wood. but this kid evidently wasn't the smartest on the block... a 12 year old should know the difference between armor and "underarmor" shirts. last week I woke up without my pillow. I spent all day looking for it, accused my roomate of stealing it, etc. Finally I found it neatly shelved in a hallway closet. Apparently I sleepwalked over to the closet, stuffed the pillow in, then sleepwalked back to bed. MB 3528, RB 1182

that looks too perfect to be real... it might have been where someone bounced but then they dug it bigger or pulled out the grass. MB 3528, RB 1182

that thing is pretty cool. It looks like its not a true minigun though, as it has 6 nonrotating barrels. MB 3528, RB 1182

I've done this with a pd230 lots of times... the thing even flies backwards in a stall... I rode it for about 1000 feet until it decided to spin up for no reason. MB 3528, RB 1182

quite a few girls going through S/L progression at my DZ get that same type of bruise on their arms... we found it to be that many of them wrapped their entire hand around the strut, rather then just their fingers. This causes their weight to be held up by the forearms, causing a pressure bruise. so either try grabbing on with just your fingers wrapped around the strut, or see if you can't switch to an exit with one foot on the strut. thats terrible for the kid to have seen that. hopefully shes young enough to not be traumatized. MB 3528, RB 1182

What do you check before allowing a visiting jumper to jump at your DZ?
bch7773 replied to LukeOliver's topic in Instructors
licenses, currency, and reserve in date. if something smells fishy, or if they have only a few jumps, we will check logbook and/or make calls. MB 3528, RB 1182 -

JE teaches a hell of a good coach course, so i bet the instructor course was pretty tough too. congrats to the guys who did it. MB 3528, RB 1182 -
Aramark is a HUGE corperation. They do a lot more than uniforms. They run stadiums, school foodservice, and even a few national parks. Doubt, you'll ever get them to change. yeah but maybe the birdmen company can get them to say in writing "we won't sue birdmen for copyright infringement". that way 5 years down the road their new management or whatever can't decide to sue. High speed spinning mal and cypres fire
bch7773 replied to darrenspooner's topic in Gear and Rigging
do you mean sabre or sabre2? I've jumped several different sabre2s and noticed they do tend to turn a little on opening. haven't noticed it with sabres though one thing to remember of course, if you have a turn and line twists, don't pull the toggles! MB 3528, RB 1182 -
and this post about proper post etiquette is in "gear and rigging" ??? the irony is thick MB 3528, RB 1182

I have a glow in the dark face alti, and that damn thing glowed for hours even after the night jump. I just charged in it a car's headlight for a minute or two prior to getting on the plane. Its not a bad idea to have a glowstick somewhere on you as backup though. MB 3528, RB 1182

Or you can keep it in right hand, but put your right shoulder and arm outside the door and keep your right hand facing the ground as you hold it. this way if you ever had a student in tow, the static line falls out of your hand and it can't break your elbow. MB 3528, RB 1182

me too. I guess so they could fit in with NATO? although if they go with .45 cal again I think they would do better to go with a double stacked pistol instead of the 1911. MB 3528, RB 1182

Can you reccomend any websites? Clicky! Try that site first. $100 bucks for a 700ml bottle?!?! damn i might as well just buy some crack and a bottle of vodka instead. MB 3528, RB 1182

I've heard before that out of 30+ varieties of absinthe that you can buy in europe, only one or two of them actually have wormwood. the rest are cheap copies, without any wormwood. you might have drunk just the fake version. MB 3528, RB 1182
