  2. Actually I am getting ready to give her a gun....She would have it already, but I am going to teach her how to handle it first. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  3. Actually....I didn't lose the girl. My rant was about how people jump at some for asking advice, but not at others. Even some of them that have ASKED for advice. My whole rant/point was this: People are going to try and use this place as a way to get advice. Like it or not...It does happen. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. And this one? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1139309#1139309 From the same person who said that she would hope people would not ask serious questions or get advice on here. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  5. Like it or not...People DO use this place as a way to get info on things they should go elsewhere for advice...Its a fact, to ignore that is foolish. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1150513#1150513 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1162317#1162317 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1145603#1145603 And you even gave advice on that one. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1154930#1154930 Thats just page one. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1142062#1142062 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1154063#1154063 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1146671#1146671 This one is a medical question FROM YOU!!! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1139309#1139309 Edit to add a relasonship question: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1115484#1115484 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1134097#1134097 Do I need to go on? Thats just page 2. Like it or not people WILL use advice and seek advice from here. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  6. True. And he has the right to do as he pleases. Like it or not people do it all the time. Browse the Womens forum for hundreds of "What do I do?" threads. Ignoring that fact is foolish. True again...2 out of 3 ain't bad. See #2 and realize YOU don't get it....Good idea or not...it happens. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  7. So is not getting shit faced and going home with someone you don't know..... Fact is...Many people use this website as a supplement and in some cases a SUBSTITUTE to a real life friends network. It is a valuable tool to get opinions from across the world (How do people in Spain think about date rape or stalking? We can find out here), and do it with some level of anonymity. Only a handful of people know who tried to rape who, or who HeatherB was talking about in the now deleted "Is it normal of an Ex to ask for Christmas gifts back" thread..... For some this is the only place they can go for comfort and guidance....In ALL areas of their lives, not just skydiving. I myself have asked a question that I needed a womens opinion for someone totally not connected to the situation. I can understand the powers that be not wanting a "slam fest". Or even names being used for legal or privacy issues... But to delete questions that could have dire consequences (Such as being stalked, or possibly raped) is foolish. Ignoring a problem is not going to make it go away... HH told me that there are 8 cases of stalking going on with DZ.commers....What good is deleting a thread that migh help some, or in an extreme case maybe save a life? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  8. OK so if we know of a Rapist on the DZ who is a DZ.commer....We should not post it? But to post about a stalker is bad. Or to post about a crazy ex is bad. Thats some fucked up shit. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. Then they will want to adopt. I think its wrong, and I don't think they should be allowed to adopt kids. And bring those kids up thinking that its normal. I have no problem with what THEY want to do...however it will influence people who don't have the right to choose. I don't have aproblem with a same sex couple having the same rights in regaurds to each other...But I don't think they should be allowed to adopt... In nature those types of relationships in animals would not happen....It is not natural for two of the same sex to raise a child. It should not be allowed in humans. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  10. No I get it, you just fail to understand any view but your own (As always). Just because its OK with you does not make it OK with everyone. You always have a hard time seeing your view is not the only view. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  11. It may not be the SAME thing, but it is the SAME issue. You have two people that want to be married. They are both male and right now they are not allowed. They want the rights to the same treatment as a hetero couple. You have two people, they are brother and sister. They want to have kids together and be husband and wife. Again it is not allowed. You are saying that just becasuse the gay couple has more support its one thing, and the second its another? Nope, same issue. In this above case the brother/sister already have a few of the benefits of a couple...But still its the smae issue. If you don't care what people do in private, and want to support gay unions...Then you should support black to white, incest...ect. I mean if they ALL agree its none of your buisness right? So just cause not enough want it its a seperate issue? I don't agree. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  12. Its based on Civil unions "don't cha know". "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. Graham used to be our pilot in Zhills...Way cool guy. Graham Meise - Our fearless leader, Company President and Instructor Pilot. One of the founders of Warbird Adventures, Inc. Originally from South Africa. Veteran skydiver and aircraft mechanic. Over 6000 hours flight experience of which 1000 is in Warbirds. Helo driver "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  14. See, instead of seeing the potential problems you joke. If you allow this, then you have to allow brothers, and sisters to marry. I mean who's buisness is it anyway right? Then you have to allow Dads to marry their kids...I mean who's buisness is it right? For the record Gay marriage WILL happen, just like ALL "rights" movments have happend. That does not mean a person should not voice or fight for what they think is right. And just because it will happen doe not make it right....I mean a guy can't smoke a joint in his own home....Thats limiting his personal freedom right? So I guess all drugs should be legal right? I mean its a person right as long as they consent right? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  15. OK, so a guy can marry his son if the son is 18 and agrees to it? As for the gold fish...Well you think your cats wanted to be pets? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  16. Ok then would support a man that wants to marry his son? Serious question. Where are you willing to draw the line? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. I agree its most likey false...And the point is that CS Lewis and him being a Christain Icon makes him a large target for such attacks. I am pretty sure they are false rumors, but I had heard it before. PJ had brought it in to ask if it was true...Most likely they are not, but that would be some large bit of irony huh? It is the same type of stories that make Hitler gay, and that Man was never on the moon....Of that JFK was assasinated by martians. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  18. Now I see why you have a Masters degree... So simple, I have wasted 11 years and over 60,000.00 I am such a fool. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  19. Goals...At one point I wanted to be standing on a podium while the National Anthem played behind me. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  20. True...But is it any different than the rumors that are said on here about Bush/Kerry ect? finding out Rock Hudson was guy really astounded my parents...But it was true. Just cause it seem hard to believe, does not make a rumor less possible. You should be careful with such rumors...But I have in fact heard the same rumor before...About CS, and about many other powerful men. It is the most popular rumor, and a religous icon makes a nice target. But with all the Catholic scandels....It shows that even "religious" men are not perfect. Im not saying its true (Heck I don't know, but neither do you). But it is a rumor that is out there. I'm not trying to start anything. But PJ had a valid question...It may seem outlandish...But it was still valid. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  21. All I am saying is that that claim has been made before... And no you or I can't prove our side. I think PJ had some motive behind it, but then again I had a motive bringing it up, and you have a motive defending it.... If we didn't have motives nothing would have been said. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  22. Agreed no point, but we were given them to see if the Army should buy them...the idea was to be able to turn the standard M-4 into a weapon with similar abilities as the SAW...However it jammed a lot and they didn't clear very easily making a bad choice for combat... But it was fun. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  23. All the terroists in the world now know that the Philippines will not work WITH terroists and cave to terroists demands. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  24. Yes, but he also says: Yes this part could happen: But I really do doubt it. And so did he. He was looking for a justification to support England... Back then many people in the US were tying to justify going to war against Germany. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  25. Depends...If I am close shooting with multiple targets, say CQB. I keep both eyes open. Past 100-150 meters single target or point shot, I close my left eye. Think sniper. I like the red dot for day, close range, multiple threats...But in low light it can be harder to get a fix on a target... Try one they are FUN.
