Now let me start off by saying I LOVE dogs....Just not dogs that are trying to eat me. I didn't bite him back, but while he had a nice firm grip on the back of my left leg....I did kick him with my right leg. I was distracted by Apollo (a nice big Dobbie mix) when Toby (a fuzzy 40-50 pound mutt..Sorry PK NOT a chihuahua) chomped down on me. I have to give him credit...Toby did a great sneak attack on my flank. I had a moment of "I can't believe I just got bit". Followed by a second of "Get off of me" (this is when I kicked him). Then a split second of "Oh shit, I have two dogs after me, I am already bleeding, and a LONG way back to my car". I got this under control ASAP, and turned into the aggressor. Apollo just kept playing around, but Toby kept lunging at me. I just kept dodging till the third lunge...I firmly put my foot upside Tobys head. As he shook that off I jumped AT him and he ran off. I started making my way back to my car and Toby came running back at me. As he got close I jumped back at him and turned and ran...I played this game back to the car. For the record I had my 357 (During Emergency situations I carry...Another Hurricane counts), but saw no need to waste a buddies dog that was just doing his job. WAS in and WAS on the 4way team...Civilian now. I have it on good information he has 3300+ now Yes, the tunnel helps a bunch. You know this already with only 70 jumps, and several hours in the tunnel. It would take 155 jumps to reach the same amount of freefall time you already have. Tunnel is a great way to increase some skills in a hurry. Other skills it does not help. Both..I know some naturals....Very few. Most train like hell. Argue for your limitations and you get to keep them. However, accept that anything that can be done by someone, can be done by others to include you...And you just might get it with some effort. The impossible, is what others are doing while you think its impossible. Like Quade said...the NSL has a rookie class that is a great way to start. BTW Quade..Good post. Well, with another #$@%^@$% hurricane comming, I decide to stash my 5 X 10 trailer chocked full of about 11,000.00 worth of Radio Controled planes in a friends garage (Like I had done the last three %#$%#^#^ hurricanes). So I finish with some time in the tunnel and drive back to Zhills...I try to call my buddy but I can't get him. I go to his daughters house (thats the garage I use) and go towards the door. Her two dogs come running out. Apollo and as I call him now %$@%^@$ dog. Apollo is happy to see me, the other dog comes around and while I am talking to Apollo bites the shit out of my left leg. Yes, it hurt. Yes, he drew blood. Yes, it hurt. So now he starts trying to attack me as I do the "damn that really hurt" dance/back peddle to my car move. I finaly have to get aggressive with him and show him: A. Im kinda pissed at him. B. I am not scared of him. C. Im kinda pissed at him. Finally I make it back to my car and get in. I have not been bitten like that before....I can only guess that the storm made him a little less friendly. Not pissed at him anymore...He just did his job. But I think he will not get anymore treats from me however. Just a little "damn that hurt humor" for ya. Ron P.S.
