Still is I have seen it as well people turning to avoid laning on asphalt and instead smacking into the ground. I'm with you, beer lines should be for saftey. That being said, where our plane fuels and picks up jumpers is kinda a "beer zone" Beer lines should be for safety, not just to get drinks. Spend a couple of bucks for a packing mat that has a cover flap. Take care of it and it will be fine. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Being able to think during freefall
Ron replied to Mockingbird's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Normal. In fact it is one of the reason I like this sport...From the door to landing it used to be all I could think of... Now strange thoughts pop into my head like, "should I blanace my checkbook when I land, does my car need an oil change?" unless I am really working (AFF, 4way). Agreed, but you brought up a PARTY and how it won. In this case the PARTY that we were talking about also has lost the last two major elections. Edit to add....PROVE I'm liberal OK I am more liberal than most think in SOCIAL areas, but conservative as hell when it comes to money. When it comes down to fiscal/social...I stay on the fiscal side. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You don't find it funny that the party known to like taxing didn't pay their own takes? That kills me. Oh, BTW, they lost the last two elections. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Huh, we found this draw to be faster than the FSL we did. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You should know then if you were paying attention to her. I'd take her to the comedy club...Women love to be with people that make them laugh....Even if you are not the one she most likely will not leave with the guy on stage,a nd you brought her there. Why a waste? If you don't like hunting , then don't do it. But if people like it, let them. Think of all the fossil fules we "waste" to skydive. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I think he was the better of the two. I personally liked McCain over Bush. But Kerry and his blue blood trying to be the common man bit, and his constantly doing anything for power really turned me off. Like going to Wendy's and not actually eating the food then going to a catered meal. He would have looked better to me if he didn't try to play as the average man. He had 15,000 dollars worth of ties, and flew his private jet to get 2,000 haircuts. Kerry pandered to whoever would bring him power. He made me sick. I always thought Bush was a real guy. Rich, but not pretentious. Bush is a crappy public speaker, and this speech was crap. The Minority leaders comments made me want to puke afterwards. What a stupid bitch. I thought the whole affair was just a waste of time, and had no info. It sounded like an election year speech and bash. I'll be the first to say....I thought it sucked. Way to much emotion, not enough information. I am not a big fan of "rally" speeches. And his trying to tie 9/11 and Iraq while the way he did it was correct, I personally found lame. AQ is in Iraq and is a large part of the insurgency, but they went there AFTER Saddam fell. Now I didn't spend to much effort into watching it, it was on while I did homework, but it seemed kinda lame to me. I still think he was the best man for the job, and still think he has Americas best interest in mind... But that speech was stupid. No war is popular. As this war draws out, more and more will tire of it. Thats human nature. FWIW, I'd rather Bush than Kerry be in office. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

That is just too funny. The Dems, who love to tax others, didn't bother to PAY taxes themselves....... I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Why do other countries like to try and influence America? Same reasons...People like to stick their noses in others business. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Accodring to your own post: Point 1. At the time they thought the US was in danger...so they gave Bush the power to use force. He used force. Can't change your mind later. Its your kind that claim to want cops to have guns, then yell about them shooting a criminal. Point 2. Well it says comply with UN resolutions Iraq didn't comply. Now is where you try to tell me that "Serious consequences" means "A nastily worded memo and revoking his blockbuster card." QuoteIn other words, he is authorized to use force to defend the US and, in concert with the UN, enforce UN resolutions. Nothing in there requiring him to use force; indeed, there are a bunch of provisions that say "you have to prove X Y and Z before you go to war." Still his decision and his responsibility. Quote They never complied. The Senators knew what they did. They gave him permission and a way to claim they didnt at the same time. Malcom X spoke on the violent revolt for equal rights. "If you're not ready to die for it, put the word 'freedom' out of your vocabulary." -Malcom X "You can’t separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom." "Prospects for Freedom in 1965," speech, Jan. 7 1965, New York City "You don't have a peaceful revolution. You don't have a turn-the-other-cheek revolution. There's no such thing as a nonviolent revolution. Revolution is bloody. Revolution is hostile. Revolution knows no compromise. Revolution overturns and destroys everything that gets in its way."-Malcom X Some hate the troops http://www.forsakethetroops.net/mission.html A good number of pilots hate skydivers. They call us meat bombs....Or the old only two things fall from the sky line. A Jew does not like the cross. Crosses were used to kill people. Several groups don't like Jews...Skin heads find the Star of David insulting. Some don't like the Confederate flag either...It does not make THIS symbol better or worse. They did. They wrote the resolution so they could later claim the BS they are now saying... Simple fact of life Bill, you don't allow someone to use of force if you don't want them to do it. This case would be more along the lines of if I gave the cop the power to use his force against an criminal in a warehouse if the enemy does not come out. Then getting all bent out of shape if the cop actually does use force. Now if I gave the cop to use force against the criminal in the warehouse, and he then kills his wifes boy toy instead...Then no, I didn't give him permission.
