  1. I was not the one making the deal. But I find it funny that you hate this place, but stay. Big talk, small walk. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  2. Got proof it was enterd wrong...Oh wait you never have proof. And your crystal ball must be great since you can see no benefit in the future. Again you have no clue about the military...You think the President made the order...That right there shows your lack of knowledge...But as always you never let that stop you form haveing an "Expert" opinion. Ah scared....What they dont have schools in other countries? You are a big talker...But that talk is BS. Your actions show what you are. You are not banned now...But you still talk big, but walk small. The joke is how you talk big about how much you hate this country, but are afraid to leave. How about the next line in your big talk? If POS equals Piece of Shit....Well you saying you don't hate it in the next line does not mean much unless you love shit. Just like you? Like I said...Scared to leave. You talk big, but walk small. SAVE SKYSURFING!!!

Keeping skysurfing at the Nationals is not going to do anything to add members. Skysurfers can still skysurf, they can still have footage to "wow" the crowds...Even though the death of skysurfing in the Xgames should be proof enough that it was not enough of a draw to stay viable.....Nothing will change if the Nats does not include skysurf. The fact that the USPA is now throwing away unclaimed medals since people don't seem to care enough to bother to train and go to nationals is all that the USPA needs to know to know that skysurfing does not need to be there. And that can continue without it being at the nats. People come to the DZ and want to fly a wingsuit....They are not even at the nationals. If they can't be bothered to show up to compete, why hold a competition? Just so the few that do can claim a medal? Explain to me how one competiton that last year had only 4 people not being around will destroy the USPA? It won't and you know it. Its not liek the USPA is trying to ban it...They just realize that since only 4 of the 35,000 member care and medal are going unclaimed that there is no need for a competiton. And they are right. Explain to me how 4 people can turn around and save the USPA? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. I'd jump it and act like I didn't know where it came from. If she calls and asks about it thank her. Be honest if she tries to get back with you. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

    SAVE SKYSURFING!!!

If it were viable, it would be growing. It is not growing, it is in fact shrinking. The number of competitors is at an all time low. Some might say more...But it does not change the fact that people are not doing it. And why spend time and money on an event with fewer and fewer teams every year? No it does not. We don't do 10 way like we used to, 20 way went away, scoring rules for RW changed, Freestyle is all but dead, Style and ACC is dying...Its normal for things to change. This is nothing but another change. The Xgames were dropped because it was not viable...It is still not viable or it would be healthy. There were only four teams last year....Why keep an event with such a small group? It does not represent skydiving today. Thats only four people who jumped with a board...Compared to 4 way with its 71 teams thats 284 people. 280 more people did 4way at the Nationals...The focus should be on the event that represent the sport, not an obscure section. Don't use emotion. Can you give me any other reason to keep it? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  6. To quote a country song. "Some girls don't like boys like me....Oh, but some girls do." I have found that most times I never mention skydiving when "dating". When it does come up, its too late, they already love me. I have found that if a girl is turned off by my hobbies, and I have some really geeky hobbies...ie R/C planes, that it would not work anyway. I have also found that women are attracted to "dangerous" types. But tend to marry "secure" types. Studies have shown that *gasp* women like sex. They are more likely to go home for the night with the guy that is tall, handsome, has money and is well built, than a short, fat, balding guy driving a 79 Pinto. (How I get laid is anyones guess ) Is this news? Guys go home with almost anyone that says "Yes". Girls get to be picky...is this new information? They are looking for the one that starts their engines. Once women start to want to "nest" they tend to want a guy with more security...Again, is this news? Anyone that uses "I skydive" as a pick up line is lost anyway. It is a stage in a jumpers life where he goes around proclaiming to anyone that he is a skydiver and therefore special....It is nothing more than a desperate cry for attention. The old joke "How do you know if there is a skydiver in the room?" "He will tell you" Holds true. I find that I get much more respect when people find out I jump after they have known me and if I am not the one to bring it up. People don't like people who brag, or showoff. THAT most women say is a turn off, and most men see it as compensating. So everyone do yourself a favor...Let them find out on their own, and they will be more interested in you..AND they will not think you are a braggart. 7. Only a stupid Government would expose its people to more risk than is needed. Even larger, only a stupid careless Commander would expose his troops to more danger than needed. Yes, you send troops to bad places where they could get hurt WHEN IT FITS A MISSION. Going to London to hit the Pub is not mission, and American soldiers are targets. Your inability to understand the difference in Military matters is showing again. I didn't make it about the troops he did by saying: You may wish we send people into harms way for no reason....I don't. There was no good to be gained by having American troops walking around London. It only risked them, and people near them. It was a MILITARY call, and standard SOP in such a situation. YOU quit using any opportunity to slam the US...Why have you not moved yet? I think one person already offered you a deal to go...But you never responded to him. I'll show it again here so you can ignore it again. Hell there were even PM's about it. I'd like to see you buck up and take it since you claim to hate the US so much but seem to be afraid to leave it. 8. People say dying while skydiving is sensless and tragic. They are also correct. Anyone that dies is tragic, at least he died while having fun, not in a car bomb, accident ect. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. It is pretty common to "close up" right after an attack nearby. This is normal and smart. The soldiers were told not to go to London. They still did their jobs. The soldiers didn't "fear to tread". They were told not to go. They followed orders. The orders were normal protocal. From what I have been told they have already been lifted. Most people if smart would not walk into the lions mouth unless they had to. Shame on you for slamming people who did their jobs and followed orders. Shame on you for jumping all over people without all the info. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  10. We have been flying with rigs for a while now....It makes a difference. I'll be in Raeford this weekend with some if you wanna look at them. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  11. There is a big difference in how you handle un unstable student in the tunnel vs. in the air. I would not let an tunnel rat do AFF without a rating, and I would not let an AFF guy teach in the tunnel without being checked out. Different tools and skills are needed. Now yes, if you have both skills in either environment...Then it would not matter. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  12. And the Army FJC is three weeks of doing PLF's... Sometimes the Army does not do the "best" methods. You can't compare the MFF program to civilian AFF. Different type of student, different mission. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. OK, so not for PS2... So I guess if I want freaky sex on TV, I'll have to film my own "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  14. Anyone know about this? http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/fun.games/07/11/video.game.sex.gta.ap/index.html A media watchdog group on Friday denounced the maker of the hugely popular video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" over graphic sexual content that allegedly exists in the game and can be unlocked with an Internet download. The game's plot is already objectionable to many people: Its main character carjacks for fun and profit and picks up women along the way. But some say its content becomes sexually explicit if players download and install a modification to the game -- one of many so-called "mods" available on Web sites maintained by video game enthusiasts. "While San Andreas is already full of violent behavior and sexual themes, the pornographic sex scenes push it over the edge," said David Walsh, founder of The Minneapolis-based National Institute on the Media and the Family, which issued a "nationwide parental alert" Friday. The controversy has prompted an investigation by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board, which determines the rating on every video game sold. Rockstar Games issued a statement Friday, confirming the investigation and avoiding comment on whether its programmers created the sex scenes in the first place. "We also feel confident that the investigation will uphold the original rating of the game, as the work of the mod community is beyond the scope of either publishers or the ESRB," the company said. The mod's author -- Patrick Wildenborg, 36, of Deventer, Netherlands -- told The Associated Press on Friday that his code merely unlocks content that is already included in the code of each off-the-shelf game. "If Rockstar Games denies that, then they're lying and I will be able to prove that," Wildenborg wrote in an e-mail. "My mod does not introduce anything to the game. All the content that is shown was already present on the DVD." "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  15. I agree.....But for ONCE I was trying to be PC....Oh well Several of the tunnel rats tell me that they don't like it when an AFF "I" that is not tunnel proficent brings students to the tunnel.....It doubles their workload, and like you, I have seen some really scary "I's" trying to work in the tunnel. The tunnel is not like a skydive. It takes time to develop a trust with the rats, and it takes time to learn the tricks of teaching in a tunnel. Not really. When you look at the "average" student who does 10 min of tunnel to fix a problem, or does 10 min as part of a program....They don't tend to get used to the extended freefall. I also make sure that they realize that a skydive is shorter. Now your buddies who did a lot of tunnel, or a rat that then learns to jump I have been told that it is weird for them. 17. Its a matter of being able to understand. People understand NASCAR since a good number of them drive. They can pretend they are Petty or Gordon since they know what it is to drive a car. Most have no clue about what it takes to skydive. Even skydivers don't know about parts of the sport. Not only is it hard to understand the basics or have a frame of reference, but the basic concept is hard to explain. 18. I think its funny. Also I think we need to remove the "Born here automaticly a Citizen" BS. I know a couple from Egypt that came here for the sole reason to have their child born here in America. The US let them in and WE paid for the birth. They have now left to go back to Egypt. They didn't work here, so they paid no taxes. So they came in, got a free birth, their child is a US citizen, and have paid ZERO dollars into the economy. And we let them, and others do it every day. I am all about legal immigration, but people coming over to just to have their babies born here needs to stop. 20. You are right, it is hopeless. A 10 year old can pester their Dads till he buys them the ribbon twirly thing. The same reason that the Xgames dropped skydiving. There is no market. You can sell kids skatebords all day long and make some money out of it. Then there are the games, and those stupid little finger boards. There is no way skydiving will be able to compete with a sport that can be done in a kids backyard. Also even though we love our sport....It is quite boring to a whuffo after a while. Turn on a vidoe and most times people will say cool, but once they see the same thing over and over....They will walk away. 21. Yes, and no. Ask around. Find out how many people you know have ever rowed a boat, or done the rowing machines. I bet more (in general) than normal folks have skydived. I also bet more have done some type of gymnastics...Maybe just rolls, but almost everyone has done some type of Gym. I bet most people have run.... I bet more people have skated. See its about frame of reference. People run, row, tumble and can imagine how hard the other stuff must be....Most think skydiving is just trying to get a parachute out. Take NASCAR. Most people drive and can imagine themselves on a track.....VERY few people can imagine themslves in freefall. You have been skydiving two years and don't know that? No offense, but if a person involved with the sport is not interested enough, what makes you think a whuffo will care? And yes, there are plenty of international meets...More than Baseball. In fact one just ended last week. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  22. Well I for one think the rats do just as good, and are better suited to teach in the tunnel. One thing is rats seem to be better at "talking" to the student in the tunnel than a regular AFF guy. Also, I know TONS of AFF folks that can't stand in the tunnel. I don't see any benefit to an AFF guy teaching (one who is good in the tunnel) other than the warm fuzzy feeling of having the same instructor. The only negative I can think of is at times the rats try to teach advanced concepts to people who are not ready for them....Like the Mantis, knee turns..ect. And this normally only happens when the student asks for it. The rat does not know any better so they try and teach them. If the student tells the rat that they are having problems with AFF that does not seem to be an issue. My opinion anyway....I think the rats do just fine. Its not like we are asking the rat to teach pulling, malfunctions, or canopy control. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

    Knights DVD

I don't think you need it I do wish the exits were with the video leading, not peeling The peel makes it hard to see the angle of presentation. But most of us know that this was just a service to the community. And that it was just video from training put together. Over all the GK continue to GIVE away what most charge for.
