  2. A couple of years ago I was invited to go up to the Des Moines skydivers for their Halloween boogie to shoot some video. They Had an otter come in from Skydive Chicago. The day before the boogie it showed up and Pat Rounds had him fly a load for 4 of us that had gotten there early so we could get a fun jump in before all the work began the next day. It was awesome. I wish I would have thought about it before we left and I would have brought a football so we could have had a little game of 2 on 2. 3. Done... wish her good luck... from Fletch. :D Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  4. $50 Registration and $26 jump tickets is what I'm hearing right now. They have the Pitts and a Helicopter for sure including the usual AZ fleet. Have fun if you're going. It is usually a blast. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  5. I don't see any flotation gear for jumping within proximity to water... :P Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  6. To me it looks like her cutaway pillow is folded under her harness which would make it difficult to find, grab and pull. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  7. No Mals... 1897 jumps... Knock on wood... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  8. Freefall Express Skydiving, Mt. Vernon, MO Like Phree said, I need to check into some copyright free stuff and maybe rework it. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  9. Probably not... I'll have to check into that for a future one. This was basically one of my first attempts at editing and I liked the final product so it's just what I use right now. With all the stink about copyrighted music I should probably investigate that further. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  10. Here is a Promo Video I created last year. All the video I shot except for the 4 clips that I am in. I made the whole promo on my Macintosh with iMovie HD and photoshop. Tell me what you think. I'd also like to see some of your examples of a promo video from your dropzone. Thanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kveHVsrFMZE Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  11. Today made 4 Months... It's still so hard to believe... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  12. As long as the pilot knows what he's doing then there's no real reason to be nervous. As previously stated, when the DA is 4000 feet the plane isn't going to perform well. The pilot still needs to keep the guages in the proper areas and what this means is just long climbs to altitude. The past 3 weeks at my dropzone these are the same conditions we're dealing with. The end result is... we're only taking 3 to altitude, it's taking 10 minutes longer to get there and burning an extra gallon of gas. 13. I frequent a forum discussion group called Industrial Haze. It is all locals centered around the southwest Missouri/Northwest Arkansas area. We have about 220 members. The forums are only open to anyone that has jumped at Freefall Express Skydiving, Skydive SkyRanch, St. Louis Skydiving Center, Skydive Kansas City, Missouri River Valley Skydivers, Kansas City Skydiving Center, Skydive Kansas, AC/DZ, SkiaTook and a few others. We all know each other and we all jump with each other on a fairly regular basis. The forums are quite active and we have a blast on there and pretty much all the DZO's play a role on there as well and are constantly announcing what's going on at their prospective dropzones. If you are from the area or have jumped in the area and can get a current member to vouch for you so that we know you are who you say you are then PM and I'll give you the link to apply for membership. 17. Our Dropzone borders I-44 in missouri... from time to time the ambulance shows up wondering where the dead guy is. People see me swooping while they are driving down the highway and get scared and dial 911. My record is 4 times in one day that the ambulance showed up looking for my body. We keep telling them to call us if they get a report but they never do. It's awesome. Hahahhahahaah Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer

  20. If I see a chop coming down, the first thing I do is locate the reserve... when I've determined that the person under it seems to have their faculties about them and will *probably* land safe, I run to my vehicle (if need be) and chase down the chop and the freebag. Lots of times I can even find the handles. Why do I do it? Cause I would hope someone would do if for me. Would I accept a tip? Absolutely not... ever... Would I drink your beer. Absolutely, but then I'd do that if I didn't return with your canopy either. Now, if my main was missing for a few days and some farmer found it while he was plowing or something and brought it by the dz... I'd probably try to tip that person something to show my appreciation that they recognized that this was something of value that was probably lost. I'm old school I guess and "Thank you" still carries a little weight with me. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  21. Normaly I love music... pretty much all music. However, several years ago, after my father died, I made a video of his ash dive and put it to the song... Isarael Kamawiwaole-Over the Rainbow and then recently I lost my fiance in a skydiving plane crash. Her parents asked if I would put something together for her memorial servide so I was able to throw something together and I put it to Bryan Adam-Flying. Either one of these songs throws me into tears just by hearing them... I can't help it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFucxsfGEbM Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer

  23. HILLBILLY J-A-M 2008 BOOGIE This years Hillbilly Boogie will be in Honor of our 2 favorite sky sisters Jennifer and Marnie (J-A-M) that we tragically lost in a plane crash on April 19 of this year. Both girls were looking forward to being a part of this years Hillbilly Boogie and will be with us in spirit. Both girls have memorial funds set up in there memory. Marnie's a fund for her daughter Tory who will have many financial needs in the future including a mission trip to Brazil this August with her church. Jennifer's is an educational fund through the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. many have asked what they can do to help, simple JUMP at the boogie!!! $1.00 from every lift ticket from Mullins King Air will be split evenly between both girls fund's, the more you jump the more money they receive. Mike Mullins Super King Air will arrive at 1PM Thursday June 12, 2008 and fly until everyone is done on Sunday June 15,2008. Registration: $15 per person this covers ferry fees, rooms for the Mullin's, food Friday PM, Saturday AM, Saturday PM, and Sunday AM. If you jump or eat or a combination of both you must register. You should bring your choice of beverage. Menu's; for breakfast both days Jennifer's choice, SPAM and PANCAKES!! That's right she said you got to try the SPAM!! Friday evening; Taco night, all the taco's you want. There will be a Taco eating contest so bring your appetite or video camera this will be something to see. Saturday evening BBQ beef sandwich's, potato salad and corn on the cob. Lift tickets; Should be $24 as you know Fuel prices are hurting all of us, Please bring cash as the expense of running credit cards is terrible and also will drive up the cost of lift tickets. Debit cards on the other hand are fine. Saturday evening Brad "Treetop" Henson will be presenting his 2007 year end video as always your face should be in this. This will not start until 10PM as Marnie's daughter Tory is having her big dance recital in Springfield around 7PM and many are going to watch and come back for the video. All are encouraged to car pool and attend the dance recital as Tory's love is dancing! We have kept Tandems to a minimum as last year on Saturday some of the experienced jumpers were having to wait on loads, not this year this will be a fun jumper boogie. Balloon and helicopter jumps, I am trying and will let you know as soon as I here back. Bryan & Lyn Wolford Freefall Express Skydiving Inc. Mt. 24. I'm on a Velo 96 at 2.2 or a Stiletto 120 at 1.8 in my backup rig. Either seems to treat me pretty good. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
