  1. I believe it did... The guy landed on it but I was in here posting about it when the prize got solved and I don't know if he's the one that solved it... hahahahha Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  2. I was just watching Wheel of Fortune and one of the prizes on the wheel was a $1000 gift certificate to 1800SKYRIDE. Hmmmm... it seems they are trying to make a new name for themselves... Personally I can't believe the show would have gotten involved with a company with such a crazy business record. 3. Well... just for your information... at our dropzone we use Navigator 200's, 220's, 240's and 260's. We have nothing smaller than a 200 for students and nothing larger than a 260. What we allow the student to jump solely depends on their weight and previous canopy control. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  4. 10.4.11 is the last iteration of Tiger I believe. It's the most stable and up to date version of that era of OS. Your machine should run Leopard quite well also. Have you tried booting the system with the discs you have and holding the "C" key in the process? Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  5. Well... I don't have iMac G5 restore discs but I could probably hook you up with OS X discs that you could install with. I believe it came with OS X 10.3 (Panther). I think it depends on whether it has an iSight or not. If it has an iSight it may have come with 10.3.5. I have some OS X 10.3 (Panther) discs. Since they aren't 10.3.5 they may not install on that particular machine if it's the later version with the iSight. I have some OS X 10.4 discs that should install. Leopard should install on that machine as well (OS X 10.5) but not, Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6). Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  6. Check out Handbrake... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  7. I stand corrected... you are right. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  8. If the fogging is inside the lens... anti fog cloth won't work... you'd have to apply it to the inside of the lens... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  9. Got this one Saturday night... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  10. Right now I'm using a blow switch... but before that I had "several" tongue switches. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  11. Personally... I don't see it as a 'safety feature'. I see it as a feature that places the whole thing in the Piece of Shit category. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  12. I've got a Cookie cage myself and I like it. Right now it's just mounted on top of my FTP... nothing special but it works like a charm and I'm sure it's kept my camera from taking all kinds of dings and dents. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  13. I would suggest videoing your tandems from a much higher altitude than this... longer videos, less creative editing, less money spent on CYPRES cutters and all around more safe... I'm just sayin'... P.S. Congratulations... YOU WERE LUCKY it turned out the way it did... losing ones helmet in freefall ends up resulting in much worse circumstances... 14. Macs are better for Porn browsing... The Malware and virus' don't affect them as much... I'm just sayin' I use mac. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  15. My suggestions are... Gain enough experience in the sport so that you can move about a plane in a group and not bump anything. This will come with experience and being relaxed and thinking about your body position and spacial awareness at all times and not thinking about jumping out of the plane... basically when skydiving becomes second nature and "normal" to you. Then... learn to fly your body so that moving around the sky just happens the way you want it to and you don't have to think about making certain movements to get certain results. This will come with MORE experience. Once flying your body is as natural as walking, move on to step 3. STEP 3: Buy a real camera, mount it professionally on a real camera helmet (one whose sole purpose is to fly a camera). Start learning skydiving all over again because flying a camera changes everything. Be VERY careful when wearing your helmet in the air and above all... Don't BUMP anything. 16. But it will... :P Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  17. The Apple Macbook Pro is a great laptop! I have the 2.8Ghz 17" one myself. Apple makes great hardware. The beauty of the Macbook Pro is that you can start it up in OSX or Windows... So it's a Mac AND a PC... The downside is if you go that route... You're going to PAY for it. Apple Macbook Pro's aren't cheap. But they aren't cheaply made either. 18. I believe it will have to be RIP'd first. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  19. I'm with you man... I've got two batteries that come with the CX100 and they are pretty much crap. I bought a 70 off eBay for 19.99 so I'm guessing it's a knock off... :P But it works WAY better than the 2 50's put together... 20. As I understand it... the Pro version is the only one that allows automation... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  21. I'm not a real fan of that fisheye distortion either... I like something that looks a little more natural... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  22. I have to agree that the Raynox .3 had a great picture and wasn't TOO wide at all, unfortunately mine had a fogging problem and being that it was so big, one little bump in the door was all it took to take a flying leap... on it's own. :P I replaced it with the Century .55 and I think that is a great lens and unbelievably low profile to boot. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  23. That might have been me... If I'm not constantly on top of the situation and monitoring the airflow around my head I can get myself in a lot of trouble during freefall... it's like a full time job. Really... I don't even know how I seem to manage it. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  24. +1 Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  25. My girlfriend won a certificate for a pair of custom freefly pants at the Mullins' Halloween Boogie last year. She placed the order in November. After many emails back and forth she received a pair of freefly pants in March but they were the wrong size and NONE of the colors lined up. EG agreed that they were thrown together in a hurry and to send them back and he would redo. It's now middle of June and he has NEVER made an attempt to contact her about the order. He has only responded to one of my emails to him with the excuse of "I am only one man, and I will get to them as soon as I can." She was hoping to be able to use them this skydiving season, however now she just hoping to receive them. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
