    I voted " why jump a round? ". I don't have to.There is much better gear available these days.There is a team that comes to our DZ every few weeks called The Phantom Brigade. They are a great bunch of guys but I have seen more than a few extremely scary incidents and injuries. We have had tree landings, a landing on the hanger which had it not been for lightning quick reflexes would have ended in serious injury or death, a broken wrist, super hard landings. One guy got caught in an updraft and landed miles off the airport. It was a 15 minute canopy ride from 1800 feet. very scary stuff---------none for me thanks.     I have colored mine several times with whatever marker is laying around. I have seen many experienced skydivers do the same. I have never heard of any problems because of it.If it makes you feel better, call or e-mail the manufacturer.---- Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

    I do a thorough gear check on the ground. This eliminates the need to do anything but a rudimentary check ( main pin, chest strap ) in the air.If I get bumped around I my ask someone I know well to check my reserve, and I can check the main pin myself.----- Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

    I personally think dropzone is a great movie. It was for more skydiver oriented and had a pretty good plot ( I didn't say great ).That being said, Point Break rocks.-------------- Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

    think about driving down the highway. Now ask yourself, would you really feel secure being in freefall with the general public? I wouldn't. It may seem like an elitist point of veiw, but I think it takes a special person to handle skydiving in general.Think about it, would you get on a 747 piloted by the average jackass? i say NO! Not everyone can do the things you do or are learning to do. There are immense repercussions that go with our sport, and the public in general is ill equipped to handle them.
