Flash drives for tandem student video/stills
PhreeZone replied to Skydave103's topic in Photography and Video
Best option is to provide the DVD and a digital copy of the jump. You can do this fairly easily with a lot of software and just email them a copy of the video in something like a FLV file. the Flash format can directly be played, can be uploaded to YouTube or can be forwarded. Wendy you are absolutely correct that at busier DZ's its way easier for things to slide. At a medium or larger turbine DZ its common to only know the names of half the people on the DZ and for the staff to be too involved in the student jumps to be putting much attention into the experienced jumpers until there is an incident. I used to travel a lot and especially when I was around the 100-300 jump level I never was really questioned when I showed up at a DZ for a boogie about what was I dong, how much experience I had or if I should have been jumping my camera at that time or not. After recent discussions with a few people I wanted to see what your dropzone does for tandem students as a take away item if any. I have seen some DZ's do student logbooks for every tandem that walked in the door, others do a printed certificate with the students name. I saw one a long time ago that gave a tshirt to every tandem student and another that handed a bumper sticker to all the students as they were walking out the door. What items if any do you think students actually want and if they have any value at all to students later? Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

AutoIT is also a preferred choice for malware authors since its so easy to run. Tons of AV companies are adding in additional heuristic trigger values that if its a AutoIT built package then it adds to the bad score against the file. I've got pages worth of hash values fo files that are clean but multiple (15+ for each file) have tagged it as malware partially due to it being packaged via AutoIT. Glad you got the issue resolved in the end. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

I'll put my bet on the source of the issue is a rootkit that is installed on the system if its redirecting you to really random sites and if its also doing a pop-up to the Newsday-11news.com or something similar website.. Most AV is having issues detecting it right now since its extremely complex and it was specifically designed to hide from most AV detection designs. Download this file onto the system: http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.zip Run it and see if it identifies anything as being infected. If so it will repair it and then a reboot will resolve the issue. If the system is clean it will not harm the computer so its an easy choice to run it. The design behind TDSS is really nothing short of brilliant from a design concept. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

You jumped with 2 DZ.commers 0:16:1 3 rounds of 4 way video . 5 tandems, 3 Tandem videos, 3 tracking jumps, 1 Wingsuit jump, 1 coach jump I got to take my Mom on a tandem so that was a huge plus for my weekend. I took my first tandem out of the King Air so that was beer. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Jumper had about 400 jumps and was an Army demo team member. The jumper was doing a 3-way out of the C-130. Jumpers funneled from exit all the way down to 6,500' where they broke. Jumper was observed in a flat stable position and did not pull any handles

Thank you. The files have now been added online. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Samurai for a 100 jump person
PhreeZone replied to 4chewnate's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You would be surprised. I know of someone that was sold a Crossbraced canopy when they only had around 200 jumps. The person that sold it was a very experienced jumper also. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com -

Only canopy that ever received major changes in its life with out a rename was the Jedei from Airtime Designs. PD is very consistent on their canopy designs and the same design for a canopy is used forever based on the info that PD has put out. Its GTA on a horse set in 1900. There is the usual shooting and stuff but then there is the roping of wild horses, the hunting, poker, blackjack, dice, dueling, riding stagecoaches and trains, treasure hunting, side missions, herb picking, bank robberies, etc. There are about 8 pistol choices, about 6 rifles, 3 or so sniper rifles, shotguns, fire bottles, throwing knives, lasso, Gatling gun, cannon, etc as weapons in addition to your fists. The wildlife is able to all be hunted and an achievement is for killing and skinning one of every animal from horses to dogs to deer to bears. You have options to either go honorable or dishonorable on all your actions so the towns people will either overlook some of your smaller crimes or will form posses to hunt you down depending on what route you go. Sherrifs hunt you down when you have bounties placed on you so you still have to elude them. I am working on the achievement right now to put a tied up woman on the train tracks and watch the train hit her. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

I'm about to clear Mexico on Single player mode and have about 50 hours in the game since it was released. The side missions are as much fun and are as funny as some of the regular missions. The hunting and the Dead Eye modes are a nice plus but dueling just rocks. It took me a while to understand how to win but once you figure out where to paint the target to get your bar to increase to the end first then you win every time. Try to do some disarms and shooting hats off people in the duels and it will really add the honor and cash to your wallet. Shoot the hat off first then the disarm is the trick. Sunpath is showing the delivery times at 16 weeks for current delivery. All three of those rigs are solid choices and you will not go wrong with any of them. Its minor details are the only differences on these models so I would not worry about any of them. On the rigger side there are some difference and some are slightly easier to pack but overall they are all pretty easy rigs to work on. Are you looking to release in freefall or under canopy? How much material are you looking to release? On the ash dives I've been part of and helped set up we choose to only use partial amount of the total ash volume. This allowed the rest of the ashes to be retained to be saved or spread at other locations also. If you are planning on a freefall release in order for it to be clearly visible and longer lasting I have seen people add other material to make it have more volume like Talc or other powders. Bag design has been everything from a arm mounted sleeve that went from the elbow to the wrist that peeled open and allowed for a large amount to be packed in to a large pouch that had a webbing handle on it that needed allowed either the jumper or another person to open it. I saw a newer design that was a large bag that was about a foot square with webbing handles on it that you could store huge amounts of ash in and you just held the bag out in front and someone else reached over and backed away by a foot or so and it opened. Any rigger should be able to make something but it might take a day or two so get in contact with one now to make sure its ready. A hint is to keep the bag at arms length in freefall so you don't take the ash into your face. I'm sorry for your loss. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Hey Socal jumpers. I'm helping out another jumper that might have had a transaction go bad in the classifieds and before its decided to be a scam I was wondering if anyone knows someone by the name of C.A. Mack in the Palmsdale area. The jumper sent money for some items from this person and nothing has been received. They have the mailing address for it, just want to see if anyone knows the name to see if something has happened. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
