I've had two trippy feelings this year (well three counting that one camping trip a couple of months back )... Was doing a three way sit out of a King Air, uppers relatively low - we exit train, I end up looking up at the plane 3 seconds after exit - what do I see, a solo exiting THREE FUCKING SECONDS after we left - then two of the three way cork (me and guy one foot away from me at 3 seconds - not a major cork). Never saw the guy exiting 1 second after me ever again, NOR did I see a canopy opening close to us three. Second one - was just videoing a 2 way - high numbers between the both of em. Just messin around practicing my video skills. Doodz say they are going to track and pull at around 4 grand. At four grand I look for the track - I'm about 15 above em, pretty much right on top. What do I see - guy going for his pilot chute. I get enough forward movement to be able to look back about 10 feet to a canopy opening up right on my ass. He got a new asshole for that one. Never really had any trippy ones like that in a long long time... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Just curious as a measure - but is that due to your experiences? (i.e. I value your opinion...) -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

That just does not sound fun to me. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Sit fly - flying arms separately of legs...

Absolutely - in fact, in my opinion, I think that is my main problem after looking at myself on video. I think I'm not getting my hips forward enough and I feel out of control when reaching a bit. Thanks! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." -- -
Yah - I imagine that is true. Don't you learn to kind of accept it a bit better and sort of manage it after getting basic experience and some jumps under your belt though - or is that not the case?? -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

does anyone here jump for free?

Awwwwwwwwwwww shit - it must be Friday!!!! LMFAO - that wasn't his the mom, it was the pet pig jdog! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." -- -
But it is wide angle though correct? Thanks much!! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Sorry - to be a bit more clear, I grasp the far end of the canopy with my hands while my knees are on the slider links. I then lift the far end of the canopy off the ground and give myself rolling room, lately, I've been picking up the canopy to about a 60 degree angle if you can picture that. I don't roll it while its sitting on the ground, but I pick it up to roll it under... I just eliminate the need to roll all of it over... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Well are the resolution you will get out of a monitor is 72dpi anyhow since that's what they are. But, you need to adjust your quality in PShop based on your constraints - in this websites case, I think you are right about the 60k. I usually use the Save for Web feature (PShop 6 and above I think) and that gives a hefty amount of freedom to experiment with quality versus filesize (not to mention file types). Anyhow - all in all, whatever you are doing compression wise looks wonderful. What is the 20mm USM - just a standard non zoomable lens with some wide to it?? Just curious... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Hands down - backcountry skiing and snowboardig is a hell of alot more dangerous to me than skydiving IMHO of course... I can honestly say I will not stop trekking around the backcountry when I finally have kids - it will be something I teach them as my father taught me. The mountains can be very unforgiving, but with respect one can be safe out there. I believe this is more true with skydiving. I honestly believe I have true control over my safety 99 percent of the time while jumping, moreso than with snow covered slopes. I will teach my children the love I get from both jumping and trekking, as we live to live, not the contrary. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Wow - for the first time I couldn't agree more Mr. K. I was just thinking that - all of these Cypress arguments and low turn arguments - I've finally come to the point where I can honestly say and believe that Darwin is at work. Everyone reads and signs the disclaimers - skydiving isn't a safe sport by any means. We can argue all day long about Cypresses and swooping small ass canopies, but as the sport progresses as it will continue to, more people will find new ways to die as Darwin NEVER GOES AWAY EVER! Well put Mr. K. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

I basically modified my complete pro pack with a twist of the psycho pack. Forget about rolling the canopy over... What I do is get the canopy on the ground, size it up for the bag, with my knees on the riser grommets as usual, just pick up the far end of the canopy off the ground and roll it under from far to close. Works like a charm and has worked like a charm on both a Stiletto and Sabre 135 for 400 jumps... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Man those are clear pics - what camera? -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Dumb question here - do I have to send in my Neptune (when I get one finally) to get the software updates... Thanks in advance! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

Skreamer - thank you for that post. It pretty much sums up everything I imagine while still wrestling with the choice of to purchase a big ol base canopy or not. I have personally been contemplating getting into the base world but have MANY fears about it - I have been contemplating for almost two years now. It still scares the hell out of me. I can imagine the feeling the first 20 times - pure exhiliration but just as much fear coursing thru the veins. I guess only time will tell. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
