  1. just as capitolistic as the US. Isn't this what they are rebeling against? www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  2. Dave, Have you looked into a FLite Suit? I have over 1200 jumps on my old freefly suit and its still going strong. Look into it if you have a chance. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  3. And thanks to Lou for borrwing his rig to keep us in the air for training. See attached." When good canopies go bad" www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  4. Thanks for a great weekend to all the folks at Skydive San Diego, Guano was treated like kings. We got a lot of good training in and we did get a chance to sneak a few fun jumps in. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  5. do a search for 8mm, I believe Milliken cameras. Smaller neg but cheaper for the hoppyist. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  6. Ask your doc. Remember my surgery was either slice my leg wide open ( along with major swelling) or slice it off. My scars wouldn't have been so bad especially since I lost about 1/3 of the muscle tissue on the outside of the leg. It was very tramatic. Your situation is chronic and will probably a less intrusive of surgery. Ask questions a lot. They will be able to explain your situation better. I had never heard of "cs" until after the fasciotomy. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  7. Yes, it is usually acute. I battled with it after breaking my right leg. 6 surguries in 2 weeks to save the leg and a followup to completely close the wound. Mine was bad, but I was lucky. Its not a good thing. Hope all goes well. Good luck. When you get out we can compare scares one day. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  8. I would do a few test pictures on the ground. Normal sunny day set the exposure manually at 350 f16-11@iso 200. This should work 90% of the time. The old sunny daylight rule. rarely has this ever let me down. The sun is a consistent light source. 125 f16 @iso 100. so take some shots on the ground, out the plane window on the way to alitude and see how the pic looks. Make minor corrections and shot the jump in manual and not tv and see what the results are. The should be better than tv. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  9. 21 way hybrid (2nd attempt) I'm primary camera Just prior to jump run putting my camera helemt I lost the side padding with the dytter right out the door. Dumb ass... Handed it back to the pilot, checked my shit as they were exiting. dove out found an empty slot and docked it. Now that makes it 22. Sorry I didn't get more pics sat and sunday but missing the padding made me quite insecure jumping the helmet and losing it. Plus the padding I used to fix it hurt my head really bad. Plus skydance has way too much fun throwing animals out of planes. See attached. More pics at www.petergallistudios.com www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  10. As a PC user Premire is the way to start and leave you room to improve your skills. If you can't afford it, ulead has a suite of products that might be helpful. A dvd burner, hard drive and more ram along with you software upgrade should be your first purchase. Prices on all of them are really good right now. PC or MAC video editing on them is really easy. I'm all PC now after years of having both PC and Mac on the same desk. As speed and performance goes I find Mac makes a big leap forward and PC is righ there with them soon after. And its the person behind the tool that matters more. You should be fine with the upgrades you get. A good book on the software really helps out. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com

  17. Go easy on the excitement. I think, the camera you are talking about is is a Samsung not a Sony. I wonder if you are able to take pictures while recording video?? I doubt it but if some one sees it at a store go play with one and see. Looks good. But its not a Sony(might work fine)but new cables and batteries always such. (Mute point if you are buying the for the first time.) Sony PC330 has 3mp. Not quite 4mp. But its a dual camera. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com

  22. TRV 27 and PC1. The team (Guano Freefly has 2 PC100 and 1 PC100 for parts.) www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  23. well, the bad news is the pics stay really chunky even after a deinterlace filter which usually does the the job for most dv captures. I can improve it but not by much. The images are only 432x288 instead of 640x480 from trv 27. See if you have a quality setting in the the still capture mode while in the VTR menu. At least you might get better quality stills. I'll look around and see what I find microDV info. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  24. It also applies to how they are captured to the computer. When you open a new project what are the settings? and when you are capturing, what are the settings there? Are the pics on your site full resolution or did you compress them down in something like photoshop before placing on your site? Sorry for so many questions but I'm not real familiar with the IP cameras and microdv format. www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
  25. Can you post a few still images. I want to see how they come out when I run a few filters on it. Also, what are the settings and codec when you capture? www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
