I think thier thought on that matter is if you sell drugs you are not only breaking the but you are destroying the loves of everyone you sell to. So they see selling drugs as worse than murder because you affect a lot vs. 1 or 2. I don't agree but what can ya do.......... Coco

My dad just did his first two at BD 05, now he wants to get into BASE, my mom is gonna be pull her hair out. My dad will be like "Bye honey, David and I are going to the tower, *cough* the store *cough* I MEAN THE STORE!!!"

My mom doesn't mind skydiving at all. My father and I both skydive together and she feels better having us jump out of planes than she does us driving down the highway to get to the dz. I've probably had more close calls on the road than I do jumps. People can't drive worth a shit! Now as for BASE, she isn't too thrilled about it but knows its what I love and it makes me happy. She knows if I didn't do it I wouldn't be totally happy. She said "just don't tell me when you jumping, tell me after." I LOVE MY MOM!! Coco

Well he didn't talk about that but he did say that the pro-tec use a material that does not go back to its originial form after an impact. I forget I haven't ahd time to research it yet. Coco

I went to look at helmets yesterday and got some interesting news. I went to Ski World to get a pro tech but the place didn't carry them. The guy I spoke too said they stopped carrying pro-tech becuase they were crappy helmets (which are primarily designed for skating even though they do make snowboard helmets) and didn't last. He said with skating you gonna hit your head but not as hard as if you making a huge jump or in a half pipe and you have a bad landing in snowboarding. He said there are better brands. They carry Boeri and a few others. The guy said Boeri and Giro were the most quality brands and if I were loking for something to take a heavy impact I could look at these. Any thoughts? Coco

Yea good point. So pretty much it should just be known that any helmet involved with sports like biking (motor or non) or snowboarding/skate are going to work well because they are made for it. They know your gonna be smacking your head a lot!! Skydiving helmets are not! My oxygen even says it will not protect your head from injury. May just be a cover their ass deal but that carbon fiber isn't too thick! Right! I saw that on a few of the helmets. Might be nice to have for a climb but I would definitely take them out when I jump. They are said to be easily removed so you could just stash the earflaps in a pocket. Coco

Yea I kinda feel the same way. I know it is smarter to have a full face but I like feeing the wind on my face. Kinda of a dumb reason to risk the extra protection but its better than jumping with nothing. Coco

So what do you feel offers better impact protection (open face). I have heard these two options are better than any skydiving helmets. Or feel free to add what you jump. Coco P.S I'm taking our advice Brittany, I'm getting a helmet!

So I found out today I made the December issue of SKYDIVE magazine! They have a picture of my second jump at Bridge Day, doing a gainer. Not sure what page but I’m in red and black and the caption says “A jumper back flips off the bridge. Photo by Devon Steigerwald.” I don’t get this magazine but I think because of this I just might have to get a subscription. Thanks wzettler for bringing that to my attention! ***Tom, am I allowed to post the picture or is that a no no because it’s from SKYDIVE?*** Coco

Yea I enjoyed the movie too. BUT! I saw the musical first and feel the musical was better. They talked too much in the movie. A lot of the talking should have been sung like on stage. Things like the answering machine messages were funny on stage but lame in the movie. They left out the homeless people’s songs which were funny. Marieen was also disappointing. She has very weak lung capacity. She did not do a good job in the protest scene. Listen to the original cast cd, you can totally tell the difference. There were other stuff that was disappointing and other stuff that I liked better in the movie that the play but I think it was overall a movie well made. Coco P.S I heard something about some of the characters being original Broadway cast members. Who was and who wasn't..... I haven’t had time to do the research.
