Lol! The "other stuff" is done to the canopy. The slider is either up or down and then different things can be done to the canopy to slow it down. But slowing down a canopy openning in skydiving speeds is a lot different than with BASE. I don't want the snivel i get with ym cobalt on a BASE jump. Coco

It’s not really possible to pack a slider half way. Your lines go into a tailpocket so it would obstruct that. Slider up and down covers all jumps but you can do things to the canopy to help vary opening speeds (like a 10th of a second difference). Like on a terminal jump. Indirect and direct control. Lots of other stuff too. Other more experience jumps can give more on those techniques. But for my 900 and 1000-foot delays I use slider up and indirect control (the first bite of lines before the tail pock) Coco

Does anyone know if its possible to use your Sony PC camera as a web cam? I bought a web cam and it was a piece of crap (logitech quickcame im - 40 bucks) It was all blurry and stuff. I played with it for an hour and couldn't figure why it was like that. I heard someone used there sony PC camera w/ firewire but I can't figure it out. Any help? Thanks Coco

Well I shave against the grain but I have shaved with the grain 1, 2,and 3 day intervals andand i still get cuts and bad razor burn. I think the three blades is a big problem. I'm gonna hit the store later and get some new single blade razors. If that work along with not shaving against the grain I won't need the electric. Coco *** That's your problem right there! I bet you get those icky bumps ALL the time. ALWAYS go WITH the grain when using a blade!

Any particular model that works the best? Yea cost is not problem. Spending the money is worth dulling the pain!

I'll try the single-blade!! That makes a lot of sense. I'll also stop shaving against the grain. I don't really care what I use to shave as long as it is close enough for me to get a seal on my SCBA mask. Coco

Yup I use mach 3 turbo. Well if you don't shave against the grain you don't get a good shave. But I beleive I tried it once where I didn't shave against the grain and I still got bad razor burn and rash. Usually I have to wait 3 days to shave and it won't be as bad. If I shave 1 or 2 days its like cutting my skin off. Yup, I shave right after I get out of the shower. Hot water on my face, I also wash my face before I shave. I use the gillette for mens face wash and shaving gel. I used to use aveno shaving gel but found the gilleto to be nicer. How does anelectric give you acne?? Coco

I have tried everything for razor shaving (razors and shaving gels). I have even spoken to my doctor. The problem is if i shave today in the morning. I won't have 5 aclock shadow till the next morning. My facial hair grows very slow. So I am trying to find an electric razor that is reliable is quality, shaves close enough to look good and whether i should get the straight across razor or the three rottating heads deal. Coco

Hey everyone, I just got into the Fire Academy and found I have to be clean shaved every day. I can't shave with a blade because I get hardcore razor burn. I usually shave every three to four days and it doesn’t look to scruff but I wasn’t able to get a seal (SCBA mask) on three days growth. So I need to get an electric razor and don't now how to pick out of all the different types. Any help? Thanks Coco

My dad ordered a full set from Apex. Its supposed to be here Mid Feb, I can let you know then how they do. I ordered mine during the merger (BR and Vertigo) so it took a little extra time. But the quality product and service they provide was well worth extra week. Coco

I'd say Hand Held. If they go off unstable not only is it quicker to throw than to reach back for a stowed pc but it will also reduce the risk of getting more unstable by reaching back. I did my first 3 jumps HH and my 4th Stowed. I felt a lot better about going stowed because of it. Also, as long as you use a proper method for a HH delay, it shouldn’t matter between 2 seconds and 5 seconds. With the way I hold my pc for HH jumps I’d have no problem doing a long delay. Coco
