Do you think I hate everything about the military? I don't, I support the need for a military, I simply despise the overuse of power for personal gain rather than truth and co existence. what is evident is evident, what is being denied is being denied. Your Government lied to you about 9/11 and it lied to you about the threat. It also lied to you about the needing to spend more than half of the global military spending on 'defence'. It is a Bell 212 helecopter (two actually) with a run in speed of 60-80knots they hold 2 4 way teams. bulletin 5 I'm going to compete in the swooping, can't wait. Depends on the week, last two days we've have had nothing due to weather, before that we were doing 13 or so a day. In the winter there is less customers but also less staff. I am yet to work at a DZ that has consistent jump numbers (year to year), usually the DZ is 'growing' but so are the staff numbers. I guess 1000 a year is about my average, much less sometimes and much more others. I guess I'll do around 1300 in 2010? we'll see! What is the point? our customers 'are' trained by our GCO's. The GCO's arer tained to teach the customers the body poition for exit, freefall and landing. they also teach them to use the flotation devices. none of them ar T/M's, if they were, they would not be GCO's anymore. we usually ammend the briefing to our personal standard in the plane prior to exit. o.k. oh messiah of good instructional techniques, can you honestly tell us that all of your Tandem students have been taught to use the emergency handles? and do you think doing so is imperative to the safety of the tandem pair? since you are so used to this instructonal method, heve you ever experienced a situation where the student deployes immediately out the door due to being overwhealmed? Actually, even if i had the desire to do so, i would never be able to make a reasonable income, as NO busy full yer dropzone does this. Skydive chaicago wouold be the closest i know of but still does not offer the same level of income as my current position, is in the USA and closes for winter. Are you suggesting that we should not travel, or if we do we should ensure we have a gun on us for protection? The fear mongering has really worked in the US hasn't it. Is that why you guys don't travel as much as other nations? you don't read in the news about the millions of people that trval in the same places and have a splendid time do you? the ratio of those that are ttacked and those that are not,doesn't warrant everybody needing personal protection. I doubt any tandem instructror would 'instruct' a passenger thougroughly enough to safely land the parachute in the cast of them being unconcious upon inflation. it is definately possible, but quite unlikely. It would also depend on the abilities of the said passenger. I would be intrigued to know the details of this incident you are relating to. It sure does suck for alot of people. but he lack of motivation come from tht 'suck' factor. The truth is, that anyone, in america, new zealand, australia... can achieve what they wish. They can eat f they don't have money, they can get clothes if they don't have any and they can sleep if they dont have a home. Keeping the motivation 'up' in such dire siuations is 'indeed' the hardest task of all, but to say it is not possible for anyone (who is not physically or mentally impared) to succeed is a cop out and disrespectful to all those that have managed to do so in the past.
