I agree, she sang it well! I couuld't help wonder though how 'livid' the hardcore Chritians might be, hearing an out of the closet homo sing that sing on the world stage? "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

What about the part that went something long the lines of; "we are the true north and the true free, we don't just say it, we be it!" that was awesome! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

Whatever you say, but that is contrary to what I was taught by the current world champion only a matter of days ago. That is why I bought it up. This is where I believe you are wrong, we are talking about moving the C of G. and our weight is suspended by the leg straps, leaning forward moves our C of G and leaning against and even lying on the chest strap will pull tension on the MLW and therefore down on the rings. The hinge point is somewhere between the attachments of our weight to the harness both hips and chest strap and the toggles rear. When the canopy pitches forward or back the weight stays in a straight line from topspin to harness. The rings are part of that straight line. The hip rings and the MLW about the chest strap are the pivot points. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

Wow, you really thought it would go away, just sweep it under the carpet with some drylabing bullshit. watch this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii49BaRDp_A Thinking this is anything close to settled, shows your desire for it to be. This does not correlate with what is actually going on. You can go back to you 'reality TV' now. I just realised I am falling for all the tactics that 'you all' are subjecting me to. Probably unwillingly so, due to your attitudes. You will do these things without thinking about it (instinctively) simply to justify ignoring such important information and avoiding the subject of what is morally correct. I am going to try to see these tactics in future and will avoid replying to them, I have been banned from this forum, due to calling people names, from their provocation. This is not debate and it plays no part in a conclusion, this subject is more important than any other in our society right now, not 9/11 but the deception behind it. When we lie to ourselves to cover a lie from those we listen to, is when we have lost our freedom. I have no reason to think men did not land on the moon. It is common for deniers to bundle everybody that opposes thier opinipon in one basket, hence the name tin foil hatters etc. I had never heard of a radiophobe before discusssion 9/11 on here, but it seems many are happy to conclude that I am scared of radio waves becaause I ask some valid questions. There are plenty of claims form certain truthers I do not agree with, it is the reluctance of people to listen to what I am saying/asking that makes them think I believe everything I listen to. Ever heard the saying, 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

what like building weapons, dispaching yobbos with guns and killing innocent civilians. something like that? destroying countries and grabbing their natural recources and stomping on thier face. constructive stuff like that. America has forgotten what being a patriot means. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

If that comment was true, you would never have written it, and you also wouldn't have posted hundreds of posts (possibly thousands) about the subject. If you think it is such bull shit, why do you feel so compelled to reply? We have both been registered to DZ.com for almost a decade, you have a year on me, but you have 4 times the posts than me. Once again you logic is flawed and you included many of the traits I just posted above in a small statement. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

I liked the poets speech, a bit of a jab in the ribs to the seppos there, and overall an inspiring and positive piece. I really liked the whales swimming through the stadium also, very well done!! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

So many of the CIA ops are also impossible? That is a pretty stupid question, thousands of people are dead, their families ignored and people (mostly lawyers ) have made absolute fortunes, the lies have been exposed but you cling on to a feeble fable. The most obvious flaw of the official story is the failure to even consider an iota of anything other than what they are trying to present. It all happens right in front of your face yet you simply don't see it, you accept corruption as the norm or acceptable. That is the real problem, of course people will do bad things and the hardest part of a crime is getting away with it. Deniers make it so much easier for them to do so. Congratulations. Representing your genre to the fullest once more I see. I did not post it for you or any of the hardcore deniers (don’t charm yourself), I posted it for those third parties that read and don’t feel compelled to post replies based on who posted something rather than its content. Look at how many people read a thread as opposed to how many post, then take into account the post whores like you, mike and the other right wing nut jobs that seem to be professional dz.com posters, and then consider again the amount of people that read but don't post. that post was for them, not you! 9/11 in particular is a subject than intrigues many but most are reluctant to comment. Why? because they are not sure and they don't want to be subjected to the ridicule from those of your ilk. But that changes when you use rear risers and/or toggles - you add another point to help shift the weight. I am not sure how much or how beneficial but i know i can feel the difference. The rings are the point in which the parachute attaches to the harness, so the harness is hanging off the rings. The pressure on our bodies is not at the rings but at the harness about the legstraps. It travels from the legstaps, up the main lift web, through the rings, risers, links, lines, attachment points, ribs and crossbraces to the top skin. Did you guys miss my other post? Using the steering lines and rear risers is defnately another point of contact/pressure and depending on how much input we put on them will chance the centre of gravity also, I agree totally with you there. NZskydiving school. Comercial diploma, it worth it?

I did the cours in 2002 and used every opportunity it gave me to achieve what 'I' wanted. If you have not updated you profile I suggest you do so, when i had been in the sprt as long as you I had over about 500 jumps, a year later I had 1500 jumps... It takes time, effort, dedication and hard work to achieve success. Just enrolling in the course does not mean you will succeed. Your jump numbers tell me you 'dropped out' or failed to complete the course for some reason. 200 jumps are included and are to be completed in 8 months. You only have 138 on your profile. If you succeded in the course and the path it s designed to put you on, you would have well over 200 by now more like 350... For the reference of those that read this, here is a good guideline to see who is being responsable and who is on a bandwagon. I freely admit I am not perfect and my personal investigations and questions have been in fields I have not enough experience in to decide... hence discussion. But this brilliant piece will allow true skeptics to see who is actually seeking truth and who is being ignorant/deceptive/defensive. http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?p=5592493 Boris Epstein "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

Just familiarising myself with these new boats and crews. A strong Kiwi contingent on Oracle, not just russell but a shitload more too. Go USA or is it New Zealand and Italy with a hint of Aussie and a dash of USA. Professionalism/Money has kinda spoiled the fun. Awesome boats though! The US most definately would like to be/thinks it is/is aiming to be, the airforce. Will be/will afford to be/will be allowed to be, I'm not so sure? We'll see a little more after this next financial collapse, the reins will have to be pulled in at some stage and you can only diddle your books for so long... The currency, recources and power will always be there. How it is distributed and to who, is constantly changing. People will go to great lengths to capture these things but there is always a shift over time, in these exponential times it does not need to take too long for any such shift to take place. Combat is old school, but it still makes money. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

Mate that is an epic statement and I couldn't agree with you more. Going down that road would be easy as arabs and persians are already shopping in airconditioned shopping malls and buying mcdonalds, the latest IPOD or gucci shit, if they can afford it... Just like us all. The people that are dying in these wars are not necessarily that much different to us and deserve to live just as we do. Opressed people do not deserve further opression when there is more than enough recources for everybody. They want to live cushy nice lifestyles, and we want to live cushy nice lifestyles. Gong down that road would be no good for the PNAC types and the indutrial military complex though would it. They are the ones that seem to choose our destiny... ...as long as we allow them to, that is! The fear-mongering will continue and the distribution of wealth will continue to be increasingly uneven. It is very basic human nature/instinct for us to be like this, it is optional but we refuse to acknowledge the constant shift away from 'FAIR' and into lust for wealth. Nope, China has the largest 'human recource' in the world. Our 'lives' are 'global' and we are already experiencing the negative (and positive) effects of these moves. China witll be the worlds Factory and India will be it's administration. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

agreed entirely. I just learned that from Jay That I don't really agree with, the reason being I was just taught otherwise a couple of days ago. We load the parachute from our hips. The rings are not the pivit point our lagstraps are, the MLW extends through the rings, risers and lines. The C of G is moved forward while performing this manoever, placing more force on the front of the canopy and rolling it forward keeping it in level flight longer before it pitches back, as it would if all the input is made from the rear of the canopy. Less parasite drag is also an advantage. At least thats how I took it... "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

As long as you are reading. It is very common these days for people to be too aggressive on thier canopy progressions. this is because swooping does look cool, but it takes alot of experience. It cannot be said enough that coaching from a reputable coach is paramount for swooping or regular landing patterns if you are goin to keep yourself safe. I have 6000 jumps and I just finished a canopy piloting coaching course with Jay Moledski, I learned sooooooooo much. be safe and have fun! Cool, I agree it looks more than strong enough, those cables are used in missiles, so very high quality. I am quite sold on them now, the only bad feedback from people using the units seems to be carless use and unusual rigging techniques. The units continue to operate as they are supposed to. High quality batteries is the key from what i can tell! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

It has nothing to do with the new sponsor, it has to do with the attitude and professionalsm of the sponsored guy. It is up to the new sponsor to decide whether they are happy with thier new investment. It is up to you to decide if you like the quality, design and customer service of that particular product. Maybe the old sponsor will be better off not having someone on thier team that has a bad and unprofessional attitude towards them. I like em, they suck when they kill people but it is a reminder of how small and insignificant were are in the great scheme of things. I have experienced many of them mostly 4 - 6's. corporate greed is a real everywhere in the world, New Zealands currnet situation is simply in a bump in the road. The 10's of millions of dollars the dz owners have made from the growth of adventure tourism in New Zealand is a very real part of the problem and a part of the solution also. Over time the sport will win, the dzo owners got greedy and the sport has lost out in the short term, over time however things will change, that I can assure you. It will take time but sport sydiving in New Zealand will become stronger than it has ever been before over the coming years. Adventure tourism is a high percentage of NZ's GDP. tandem factories grew at a much higher percentage than sport skydiving over the past 2 decades, the sport is simply lagging behind. slowly but surely... We don't have litigation like most places so at least there is a proponent that is positive in relation to the rest of the world. you'll see! the snowboard store/hire. the toe stap has a much narrower width than the ankle strap. there are varous applications for those fastners but snowboard bindngs would one of the more common ones. Be careful because if you get like a 'burton custom' one, it will be much more expensive than some lesser brand. they shouldn't be much more than 10bucks in the states.
