Hi all, i am wondering if it is possible to playback the footage taken on a go pro on the television though the gopro with the cables provided and make it play each thumbnail/file consecutively without pushing buttons between? It only seems to want to play one thumbnail at a time... this is a pain in the ass if you have lots of small clips that are supposed to roll together... any help is graefully accepted. (my wife and )I was (were) going to apply for the alien of exceptional ability visa a year or two ago. we have competed in the world championships twice and the world cup once. I know of somebody that competeted for their country in style an accuracy precisely to do that. Leigh and I competed for legitemate rasons, and will continue to do so once she has completed here world record endeavours. As we all know a conopy can have its own 'personality', The only precisions I have jumped were old, it was at lodi. They had precisions, eclipses (made by precision) and icarus bith from New Zealand and from Spain (as well as asome old EZ's). all of the canopies there had flare toggles. the precisions had a 4 + 4 configiration on the brake lines, the icarus has a 2 + 6 and the ez's had a 6 + 2 (which is kind of dumb if you ask me). They all flew and opened kind of different, depending on age and line type etc. one even had HMA lines which was actually really nice for some reason. The canopies i have flown the most only have single brake settings 6 attachments only, missing the 4th and last attachment and they seem to perforn much better and more predictably, but that is the configuration I am the most used to. I have a 'Icarus from jyro' (icarus is the model name, Jyro is the brand) ZP 9cell 105 that was made in 1993, It is very pink indeed, but remember how cool pink was in the early 90's, come on you had those fluro shorts and tshirts too. That canopy was a predecessor to the beta and icarus canopies, also a ledgendary canopy. A 105sq/ft zp 9 cell would have been very high performance in 1993. anyway back to the subject at hand; I jumped a Falcon a fw times (170 I think?) it was a 9 cell f111 canopy, not that good by todays standards but they fly allright, it was the first canopy that I groundlaunched also, it had similar glide ratio to the zp canopies I flew off the same hill. I have not seen a lineover on an icarus for... i can't remeber when. the DZ i just left does 16000+ tandems annually and the only cutways I saw were from linetwists from TMs tha punch it low and don't give themseleves enough time to get out of them. Our packers were less than tidy to boot! I am not opposed to the concept of the tailgate type rubberband setup but don't really see then need for it either. When they are available from nzaerosports and present the label, 'icarus neos', then I will agree. Maybe that has changed in the last couple of years, they may be awesome canopies, for ali know, but I buy from NZ aerosports, they don't sell them. They sell Icarus canopies. I'll ask Attila when I talk to him in the short future. when i asked him and Jyro at the 2006 world meet they gave me the impression they are not an icarus canopy, that may have changed for all i know... In my opinion, that comment is a joke! They may be a great canopy in thier class but that is promising something that is simply not true! The reason most won't even attempt to explain this is because they consider it frivolous and a waste of time. It does not matter that "there are plenty of people that believe it is possible", if none of those folks opinions are considered important. However, almost any technical person will gladly argue such matters if you bring an equally good technical understanding to the table and you can articulate both theories in their entirety, and why you believe your opposing theory is correct. I don't mean to sound condescending, but this is where you need to buckle down and do your homework and learn to understand the underlying physics of this on your own. One cannot rationally argue against an established scientific principle based on gut feelings without a solid technical understanding of the issue in question. Without a good technical understanding, one cannot objectively compare and evaluate competing hypothesis and independently come to an arguably sound conclusion on which one they believe is right. Without a good technical understanding, all one can do is believe which argument "sounds better". And often the one that "sounds better" is the one that appeals to the emotional rather than the rational side of the brain. It was more of a comparison of a common ground and an example of how (as I mentioned earlier) corporations will satisfy the demands of the customer. Mcdonalds is an american franchise, it seems texas had some of the first Mccafes around from what the turtle says but the idea didn't seem to be the most popular idea.... in america anyway. I got your point, but to clarify to others, Mccafe does not sell hamburgers or fries or McLipsandassholes. it sells coffee, tea and 'Cafe' stuff, hence the name mccafe. usually thry have a regular mcdonalds and a Mccafe at the same place (not always) but they still have the regulr stuff to keep the fat cunts happy and the good stauff to keep the rest of us happy. i don't eat there very often but it is a good example of how market demand will alter what a corporation offers. I will have a tea and cake and use the free wifi there from time to time. the free wifi is usually the drawcard for me. tell me what is wrong with this statement; Mcdonalds Corporation implemented the Mccafe chain in order to keep thier market share in countries other than the USA because the customers there demanded a higher quality of product. on he contrary it is what I have learned after travelling around the world that has led me to make such comparisons. In the last 5 years I have been to, (in this order) Australia, Thailand, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Qatar Tanzania, Kenya, Russia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, USA ,France, Fiji , the phillipines and UAE. I have not lived in New Zealand for over 5 years. The USA had lower quality food than most of these countries. That is not to say that all those counties have the abundance of food that the USA has, the USA by far had the most processed, unhelthy food around and the quality of the ingredients of the food I ate that was readily available was much lower in the USA than most of those places. The shitty food places in the USA had large lines of people waiting and the nice places were comparitively quiet. There was a nice place that made home cooked style meals (in Lodi can't rememebr the name), but it was always quiet and the food was searved on plastic. Resturaunts where you pay more than $30 for a meal are an exception of course and i'm sure the metropolitan centres have healthy fast food options but I did not spend much time at all in those places as I hate cities. There are always examples on both ends of the spectrum but you just have to look at what is more prevelant to see what the local population is more fond of. quality and healthy are two diffrent things, I can eat reletively unhealthy food as i have a high metabolism and I am very active. cakes and chocolate are my weakness! It is hard to encompass the varying attitudes and tastes of over 300 million different people in a generalisation, so one would usually use the most prevailent examples. I make generalisations, you make generalisations and I never said I object to americans drawing generalisations about other countries. I object to americans imposing their (unsustainable, unhealy and corrupt) lifestyles on other countries. Americans really do not like hearing that other people don't like them.
