I injured myself on a maveric 200 when i had just less than 500 jumps. i couldn't include that beacuse to poll only included injuries on high performance canopies. I was strongly encouraged to move to a more high performance canopy after my injury and i would have more to work on. They were right, I moved to a heatwave120 and have never injured myself since on vrious high performance cross braced and non cross braced canopies. I was concentrating on high performance landings ever since. I was just bored on the maveric, and made a stupid mistake! How long have they been n the business of drilling anf how much money have themde off it. This scenario is easily predicted but the action plan was not fullproof, it failed an now the ecology of the gulf of mexico is bearing the brunt. it was not uncommon a few couple of years ago for those guys to be doing 1600 work jumps a year. I know a few people around the 10,000 tandem mark so I would be inclined to beleive that figure. The '2 million skydives' is probably due to the fact that logging becomes mundane when you are doing 20 jumps a day and he probably has not logged his jumps for many thousands of jumps. We don't use those terms usually (in NZ) and we determine ones ethnicity by where they were born. eg, NZ european, NZ maori, pacific islander... When discussing these type of subjects I have to use a term that in non offensive (as far as i am concerned). Black refers purly to skin colour and is quite offensive indeed in my country. You will get blood boiling if you use the term and not only those with dark pigmentation will be offended if you use it. It is very shallow to refer to someone by the colour of thier skin and it is possible for people to have pale skin while being negroid and have dark skin being caucasian. Mongoloids can be quite white and quite dark. Not all negroids are black so ther term is non specific. I cannot comment on the person this poster is about but many will say that I hate america when it is not the case. I might dislike them personally, and the beliefs they follow but that is not representative of america as a whole. Then get a JVX. You will find the openings much nicer than a crossfire2 of that size loaded like that, you'll find the slider on a small crossfire is also quite small, while the slider on a JXV of the same size will be almost as big as a tandem slider. They open marvelously, my slider is 60cm x 90cm. My wife has a crossfire2 89, it opens brisk with me on it loading it at 2.2 and the slider is quite small (too small imho). Something to think about.
