I have a vector that has an enclosed bridle in the dbag but i still believe it si a good idea to cock it before putting the canopy in the bag, I do this out of habit also. I always cock again once I put the d-bag in the container before closing and find most of the time it has crept out a little bit. Doing it after the locking stow as well seems a little excessive to me, as long as you have done it before it goes in the bag and before you close the container, but having said that, there is probably no such thing as checking too much. Considering I have flown to the other side of the world to make some jumps, it just comes down to how much you want to jump, you have been home to the states in that time. you have no excuse, the amount of time you spend whoring yourself on this site you could be doing anything you heart desires, don't limit yourself by what you 'usually do', you are capable of anything. In case you forgot, I was in Australia when we did our night tandems, not in New Zealand. And I don't operate under the NZPIA, and have no intention of doing night tandems here as we have limited lighting. That is not to say we could not if we wished to with the appropriate paperwork. Itdiver made the mistake of trying to 'ASSume' that i was fibbing about my jump numbers when i had 2200 in just under 3 years. there is only a couple of hundred skydivers in New Zealand and we do over 100,000 tandems per year with outside camera, you do the maths! not all DZ are as busy as each other so if you work at the busy ones you hget a fair chunk of the jumps. where did my other jumps go? Tandems and outside camera. If i had not gone to africa or europe and just hung around NZ and Aus. I would have closer to 8000 jumps by now, my wife has done 1300 tandems in the lst 14 months... Don't assume anything about me, I have dedicated my life to this sport and have competed for my country 4 times, 3 of those were the world championships, and some try hard post whore with a couple of dozen jump have the cheek to tell me what is safe and what is not and you come along and back him up with your ASSumtion. typical post whore! I would have thought with your experience that you would understand that my jump numbers are not even close to unobtainable. A guy that started just a year before me has over 10,000 jumps now but mostly tandems and no travelling, I prefer my scenario, 15 countries in the last 5 years. The traffic flow in the US (well in california and florida anyway) i noticed was always about 10mph over the speed limit, this shocked me I was driving with the flow and was passed by cop cars doing at least another 10mph!!! Going 5kmph or more over the limit in NZ will get you a ticket, the cops will not likely speed without lights on but our roads are much smaller and windier also. I got a ticket the other day going 113k's in a 100 zone, my car is a turbo(diesel) and will creep up easily, especially with the Ramones playing ay oh, lets go... you would think the police in the US would set a better example though... I was always in the leftish lanes (In america) as even with the cheap gas in the US I like to drive economically. If you lived north (or south) of 40 degrees, I'm sure your mind would change on that one. In queensland australia they don't do daylight savings, most of it is in the tropics so there is no need for it, in a temperate climate it becomes more useful as there is no need for daylight hours at 4:30am in the summer, but at 9:30 pm it becomes alot more useful. Texas is only 25-29 degrees north so you would not see the need for it, ask your mates up in Alaska what they reckon! Interestingly franklins birthplace was Boston and that is at 42 and a bit degrees north which is only 1 degree north of where I am. It currenly gets dark here at about 4:45pm In summer with daylight savings it will get dark here at about 10pm, so over a 6 hour difference. In tanzania on the equator they actually set thier time to the sunrise and sunset. 'American football' is very far from a manly sport, it does have contact and it does take strength but manly is hardly an accurate description, roller derby has those attributes and some of the following also. They wear shiny tights, large pads and helmets, they can only play in one direction (another whole team for playing in defense) and for a few seconds at a time. If you want a manly sport try rugby on for size (the sport you americans changed the rules on to sell more ads), you get all the action but continuous play and the players play both directions and all 90 minutes of the game. American football is for goons with no stamina that are too scared to hurt themselves. Much like the audience. I can't beleive it, New Zealand drew with Italy in the world cup!!! Italy are the current world champions and NZ had a draw with them... Wow! Go the all whites! This is only the second time NZ have made the WC the last time was in 1982 when i was only a little boy. Last game they scored thier first ever WC goal and last night they got another, the first of the game against Italy and Italys only goal was a questionable penalty!!!
