The first time I met Mariann was on a next to last load of the day at SDD. We (Chappy, RiggerJeff and I) were on the ground getting ready to hop on the plane for some 3-way freefly carnage when she walked up. Id never met her before even though I'd been jumping there for a while. She was wearing some tattered jump suit and asked if she could join us. I asked the usual quesitions... how's your sit? you head down? how many jumps? etc... she never told me how many jumps she had. her answer: "enough for this dive" We'll I saw her do some shit on her head that was simply amazing. Fluid, smooth, and awe inspiring. I was the only one with a video camera and I'd failed to start recording. We got down had a great laugh, my friends at me cuz I didnt know who she was... and her at me cuz I failed to get it on video. We tried that jump again on sunset, but this time the video camera was on, so it didnt work out too well. When I got the call Sat night, I was greatly saddend. We used to swap music back and forth when we saw each other. In fact thats what I told my friend that call me as I was trying to compose myself I told her "Dammit, she still has my CD." "I guess thats ok, I still have hers too." I really enjoyed our music swap sessions at SDD. I know shes jammin out to some really deep brakes somewhere right now!

Exactly what I was thinking. Theres only so much plain jane skydiving that people are gonna watch. For some bizzare reason I never thought of editing it as a story. Ive actually discussed performing a few things so we can get some unique stuff to help "tell the our story" during the year. I at least was planning on a timeline of sorts throughout the year. Mine wasnt on, but good advice none the less. Ahhhhhh, all laundry done. Floors dry, I think. The fan is still running just in case. Hottie says Im one of the biggest flirts she knows. I say, Im not a flirt, its just how I act. So the answer would be: mean nothing by it. We have a larger percentage of awsome skychickies at our DZ and in the ATL area. We all hang together, party together, and sometimes (when were too drunk to drive) crash together. its not about anything other than fun. Lots of the ladies at our DZ are also spoken for or married, so theres lots of back and forth. I love our DZ. If I did that my inspection form would have "replace washing machine hoses" printed on it.Screw that liability. . Actually, I am suprised that ours didnt. We had a home inspection done, and he picked a bunch of other things apart. If I'd ever had the good sense to look at them, I'd have replaced em. Rubber hoses? Hell no. Not unless they're leak free like my new ones. Ive been doing laundry now for nearly 12 hours, except for a break between 2 and 8 this morning. Yup, you heard me right. Maybe even skiing. Got home bout the usual time. I was thinking how nice it was going to be to just have a quiet night at the house. I open our front door to a water covered floor and a washing machine hose spraying hot water where ever it can. This was at 5:45. Three 6 gallon shop vacs, most the linen closet, a king and full size comfoter, one trip to home depot, a new box fan, two new hoses, and 5 hours later, i get to sit down. What a shitty ass night. We may loose some of our laminate floor. We did loose the carpet in the closet, but other than that, we may be ok. Damn Im glad tommorow is Friday.
