    Grass, I don't know of any specific studies or "physiology" type research done into this area, but if anyone has anything specific, I too would be interested to hear it. As I'm sure you know, there's this gent by the name of Jay Stokes that has done over 600 hop-n-pops in a 24 hour period, but his preparation, experience, support crew, conditioning, etc. was all Exceptional, to say the least. Personally, the most jumps I've done in a day is 11, but they were all night jumps & only hop-n-pops... long story. "Back in the day"... at the DZ I learned at, the (then) DZO used to often limit a student to doing only 3 student jumps per day because of fatigue. I have been to a DZ where the Tandem Masters not only had to "jump" the Tandem, they also had to pack the Tandem rigs afterwards / before the next Tandem student / jump. After 3, 4 or 5 Tandem Jumps & Pack-jobs, they were pretty whipped puppies.

    Um... No. I got that "wanting to be a jumpmaster" feeling out of my system a long long time ago. Now, I just want to skydive. ... but to any of y'all out there in the verse that have plans on becoming an AFF JM, good on ya, and if you draw Yong as the Course Director at the class y'all happen to go to... Yong's favorite beer is Mississippi Mud.

    Baby powder is unlikely to hurt anything... but messin' with someone else's gear IS likely to get the mess-ie hurt, no matter how unlikely its not to cause a real problem... and you'd deserve it. Why don't you just hit him with a pie after he does his 100th jump and then make him go buy beer. ... stick to the classics.

    Jan, et all, We've never needed a BSR or big USPA meeting to do that. The fact that DZOs, S&TAs, JMs, Instructors and us other up-jumpers, etc., haven't been doing that with those that do so (kindly at first with increasing sternness with the "problem children") is part of the reason why we are where we are. Squashing the attitude that the landing are is a "free for all" would be a step in the right direction... whether your jumping a Widow-maker 57 or a Nylon Overcast 380, pilot your canopy responsibly in the landing pattern or you're gonna get a talkin' to, chewed out or your ass kicked (depending on how badly you fuck-up), BSR or no BSRs.

    Been there, Done that, It does not work. It will for a short time but the house smells like the inside of a washing machine. Hmmm... works fine over here in the Mojave Desert... I'm surprised swampers work at all in AZ with the increased humidity y'all are apt to have over that way. Try switching to refrigerated air.

    Like some have said, doing big S-turns on final with folks stacked up behind you isn't very curtious; its just as bad as doing a 180, 270, 360 or 540 hook onto a downwind swoop / HP landing through traffic. Having said that, don't beat yourself up too badly and lets not beat this person up too badly about it, none of us have never made such a mistake. Its when folks have been told and don't listen that they need "beating." Anyway, as for said camera man getting up your face, blaming you on not getting landing video, getting all rude with you and such... sounds like they were, at the least, handling things poorly, or at worst, just being a dick. Shine that part on and move on is my 2 cents.
