Oh I love Rottweilers - my parents breed them and have 6. I just love when the puppies are born so that I can play with them. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

I'll have to check on that one for MA. I could be in some big trouble. I think that I'll go turn myself in now so the guilt doesn't eat at me any longer. *Jess walks into the police station and states "I am a criminal" . HAHAHAHA. I wish I were getting drunk tonight - I've got a big day at work tomorrow. Only a few for me...but we'll see what happens. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

Seems as if weird laws like this exist in a lot of states. I just checked and it is illegal for a woman to be on top during sexual activities in Massachusetts. HMMMM...makes me wonder? Is it possible that I am considered a criminal in more than 1 state? "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

12 out of 14 right. I actually got this in an email today - weird. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

That's a scary thought WW3. I usually try not to post in these types of threads because I personally do not follow the politics behind this stuff too closely. But, I have some friends in the military and I always wonder what kind of impact this would have on them - some have already been affected. I like Incubus - I love that song Stellar and many others. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

What kind of car are you driving that you paid $650 in excise tax? I thought mine was steep, $250 for 2001 (for only 6 months) and $230 for al of 2002. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

I agree with you on this one. I do believe that self-perception has an impact on how others see you. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

EWWWW - I'll add yougurt to my list as well - it's just so gross. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..." -
There was this really cool bar right up the street from work. It closed over the weekend. It was such a fun place. A lot of people from work would go there and it was just a really great place to hang out have a few drinks, play some pool, volleyball in the summer, hangout on the deck etc... Our softball team from work would go there after all the games - it was so fun. But now it's closed. I think they are going to reopen under different management - I doubt that it will be the same. It was just one of those place that you could go to alone and always know a few people in there. It's like the end of era. I agree with you 100%. I think in some cases they do know to an extent that what they are doing is wrong. It really is a fascinating illness. I was so shocked when I first learned about it. It is very disturbing especially because the victims tend to be young children. There are many books that are devoted entirely to this subject - I'll look at me references for my paper that I did (hopefully I can find it) and et you know what some of them are if you are interested in reading more about it. Exactly. I was trying to think of that but couldn't think of the name of the movie that it was in. The mother basically kept feeding her daughter ammonia (or something) with her food. The daughter knew and videotaped it. In essence the mother was slowly killing her daughter. In a lot of cases it is a cry for help for these parents. It's so weird, but there are so many different things that these people do to imitate symptoms of other diseases. It just boggles the mind... I also agree that she deserves punishment but she also needs some mental help as well. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

Oh it is definitly a real disease. The fascinating (not is a good way) about is that it usually is the mother who sufferes from it and usually their spouse or other family really don't know. I mean - sometimes they even have the doctor's fooled because the sufferer of the disease knows what to do in order to make their child's symptoms appear to be like that of a real disease - could be done with medicine etc... I will look at my old book and research paper when I get home. It is so sad though because often times the child does suffer long-term physical (not to mention mental) damage from such a trying ordeal. I wish I only paid $80. Last year I paid excise tax ($230) and car insurance ($980). Not sure what the price will be this year but I do know that I will need to renew my registration this year. I don't even know what that costs - maybe $30 or so. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

The child's mother probably has some mental issues. I took a few psych classes in undergrad. Their is a mental illness call Munchausens by proxy (I know I didn't spell it right at all). In a nutshell people basically make others believe that a loved one is very sick (usually their child). Often times the parent with the disorder takes some pretty extreme measures and puts the child through absolute torture. When I get home I will dig up one of my old papers because I researched one particular case where the child went through numerous surgical procedures and everything. It's very disturbing that things like this even exist. (BTW I am not claiming to be any sort of expert on this - I just found psych to be very fascinating) "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

I love food - but there are tons of things that I won't eat. Mainly- olives, mustard, ketchup, mushrooms, and lobster. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..." -

I hate thinking about stuff like this. It just freaks me out and I lose sleep. But, I think that it would really depend. At this point in my life I think that I would want to be creamated because the thought of being put in the ground just irks me. If I had a husband and children I would want them to keep my ashes so that they would always have me close. But, since that is not the case - I would want to be sprinkled into the ocean - I love the beach. I would want my organs to be donated though. That is cool that you be made into a diamond ...I've never heard about that before. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

AHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO! I saw them featured on a VH-1 behind the 80's documentary a little while ago. Now, what the heck was the name of that song....???? "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

Thank you - know it's stuck in my head too. What a corny show that was.

I just thought that it was a neat place. But, there are so many things to do in NYC. I would strongly suggest trying to see a play - if you like that kind of stuff. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
