    The 80's

You probably have read these before - but, they are still kind funny. YOU KNOW YOU GREW UP IN THE 1980'S WHEN -You know what "Sike" means. -You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off." -You know that another name for a keyboard is a "Synthesizer." -You can sing the McDonald's Big Mack, Filet-o-fish, quarter pounder, and French fry song. -You know who Mr. T is. -You know who Fat Albert is. And who was old boy with the pinkmask? -You ever wore fluorescent, neon clothing. -You could breakdance, or wish you could. -You wanted to be The Hulk for Halloween. -You Believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!" -Partying "like it's 1999" seemed SO far away. -You thought that Transformers were more than meets the eye. -You knew that knowing is half the battle. -You wanted to be on Star Search. -You can remember Michael Jackson when he was black. -You wore a banana clip at some point during your youth. -You remember the garbage pail kids, and owned some. -You knew what Willis was "t! alkin' 'bout." -You HAD to have your MTV. -You actually thought "Dirty Dancing" was a REALLY good movie. -You remember when ATARI was a state of the art video game system. -You owned any cassettes. -You were led to believe that in the year 2000 we'd all be living on the moon -You know what leg warmers are and probably had a pair. -You wore biker shorts underneath a short skirt and felt stylish. -You wore your Izod shirt with the collar up. -You had a Swatch Watch with the Swatch Guard. -Your Legos collection started with the free sets in a Happy Meal. -You remember when Happy Meals came in a box, not a paper bag. -You remember when Saturday Night Live was funny. -You had Wonder Woman or Superman underoos. -You had to come in the house when the street lights came on. -You had to change into play clothes after school. -You hated Scrappy Doo. -You recorded songs off the radio with your boom box. -Your arm was full of rubber bracelets. -You have ever wondered what happened to Saturday morning cartoons. -You had to get up to change the channel. -You thought the "Thriller" video was pretty cool. -You remember the first time you went in to a video store to rent a movie. -You wore those wide, colorful shoelaces. -Quiet Riot's "Come on feel the noise" was the best song - ever. -You know where "I want my two dollars" came from. -You still cannot go in to the water because of that damn movie -Jaws. -El Debarge's "Get a beat to the rhythm of the night" plagued the radio every hour. -You remember life before minivans and SUVs. If you can identify with at least half of this list then you, my friend, you are a "Child of the 80's". I hate cubicles

Kind of like the one that Pee-Wee Herman had in his house. That would be kind of fun. I would prefer the pole to be in my cubicle though... "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  10. My first boyfriend (Mike) was in the 4th grade. We were on the same school bus (ahh where the love started). We shared our first kiss in the dugout at the baseball field at the park. I remember that I was scared my mom would find out and get mad. Well, I dumped to "go out" w/ another boy (Dave) in school. Mike broke into my locker and wrote "I love Mike" all over my textbook covers. Mike and I actually remained friends until he passed away early in college and Dave is now in Medical School. Weird thinking about these things... "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

    I hate cubicles

If there was a pole in my cubicle I think that I would be too busy dancing around it to get any work done . I just have many pictures and stuff on my cube walls so that I am not staring at bland tan walls all day. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  12. Good to hear that you had a great time. My Dad and I did our first tandem the same day. Although, it was the other way around, his idea not mine! "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  13. Great Pictures. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  14. 1991? "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  15. My parents own a jewelry company, so if you need something engrave let me know (depends on what it is, they don't have machines to do all types)- if you don't mind sending it to me. They usually don't even charge any money either if it's something that takes a half hour or so... "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  16. Very good to hear! "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  17. Oh, I've had my fair share of puking after drinking...but, I just know that I would never be able to finish a brain or some animals ass (unless it was in the form of a hotdog, who knows what's in there), so I would not even start to. I just know that the taste and experience of it all would just haunt me for life. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
  18. I have stopped watching fear factor because of all the gross things that they eat. GROSS. It makes my stomach turn. I would not even attempt to get some of that shit down for money - because I know I couldn't do it. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
