QuoteMay 31, 1986. I cannot fathom why Selina has put up with a turd like me for so long, but I'm glad of it. mh ---------------------------------------------------------- Since you brought up the subject, Mark, I'm wondering too. Congrats anyway, :o) bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

] I believe this is Travolta's DC3 in the background. I'm pretty sure it belonged to him at one time. ---------------------------------------------------------- From the paintjob...that looks to be Our (hour) Douglas. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

No, really. In my book anyone who's dealt with the shit you've dealt with and still jumps qualifies as a skygod (the good kind). ----------------------------------------------------------- naaaaa cut that out. everything has a price. I have spent almost my entire adult life.....free as a bird.. jumping from airplanes......I paid a price to do it Lisa. I would do it all over again. If I do get the chance...I wont drink so much at the Harvest Moon boogie again. :o) bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

QuoteExpect to feel a bit loopy. It never kills the pain for me, just dulls it a bit and makes me not care quite as much. -------------------------------------------------------- Ya sure didnt refuse the ones I gave you at Elsinore. QuoteQuote No. You first tell me your reasons for wanting this. That's a very reasonable response to which I owe an equally reasonable answer...IF the moderators on here will allow it. I'd rather be seen as some nutty olde jumper who wants to see night tandems 'legalized.' That all said, here's the deal. I'm an inventor. I've designed and built a robot for security, surveillance and gaming with gaming being my main focus: more money and more fun in gaming. . I've created a game with a loose quasi-military flavor or feel Players of the game are commandos who must infiltrate various locations and 'take-over' facilities and systems associated with the game. The night tandem connection is this: most players won't want to go through AFF training to become a proficient jumper just to play the game. Since night very much enhances the game night tandems are a part of it all. -------------------------------------------------------- So you want to do tandems to ehance the reality of a game ? You being a longtime jumper and former DZ owner know that we all could die on each and every jump. You want to add this to a game ? I see where youre going with this and I cant agree with the premise. Thats not saying it wont happen or even that wont be extremely viable.....I have been wrong before. If I'm going to be doing a tandem with anyone, at any time of day, I want that individual focused totally on what we are doing at the door as opposed to what comes next on the ground with the game. Having said that, you have my 2 cents....now get 77 more cents and you can get a cup of coffee at 7-11. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

As I've written, times change. Give me some *reasons* why night tandems shouldn't be considered as an acceptible activity for non-experienced people. ------------------------------------------------------------ No. You first tell me your reasons for wanting this. I/we will play devils advocate for you but you need to come clean with your motivation. I have already done many tandems, that were after dark, for whatever reason. Guru....you want more than youre providing. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

QuoteI know you've got pleanty of demo experience and TI time, how many night tandems Have you done? Would you do them every weekend like any other tandem jump? --------------------------------------------------------- The point that I was trying to get across Phree is that you were being judgemental without the background. If we had stopped every innovation in skydiving thruout its history.....where would we be now? You mention guys augering themselves into the ground under good canopies at night.....its happening now . Wait around a few years and see what the next evolution of our sport produces. They are talking about landing wingsuits. How many lives do you think will be lost when this, if it does, happens? Sit back...take it easy..... bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Even in the 6 years I've been jumping As a former TM, a Tandem is not just another skydive (Repeated that at least 50 times on the climb up every jump) and its a lot more to process. You could'nt pay me enough money to do tandems at night. Either as a TM or as a passenger. _______________________________________________ You just showed us your ability level......I have done tandems at night.....it isnt that big of a deal. 6 years ? LOL bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

How to make a small fortune in parachuting...
bozo replied to Guru312's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
How about you...how did you do in the parachuting business; did you make any money? _______________________________________________ Actually I did pretty well. Appeared in a couple movies.....did several hundred paid demos. Jumpmastered for many years...Tandemmastered for many more. Yeah......I think I did well. I'm glad it wasnt my only source of income but I could have survived. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars. -

YOUR single most dangerous jump.
bozo replied to MissBuffDiver's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
Fremont street. Las Vegas.....for a bowlgame. As the Flying Elvises Directly on 1st and Fremont street ,which is now a pedestrian mall. The organizers promised us we could have the street to the south and the street to the north as outs if the wind changed . Coming in to land, I see that all the outs are full of either people to the north or the Ball State marching band to the south. Nowhere to go but deadcenter in the intersection. It doesnt seem like much in the telling....but I had nine other guys behind me. I went to brakes...did a nice easy flat turn and settled into the middle of the street. That asphalt was hard . My stress level was on overload. I know I have done more dangerous... but that particular jump stays in my mind as the one. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars. -
QuoteNot to rain on your parade but it is spelled Canarozzo. I knew him 'back in the day' when he jumped up in Spokane. I think that he also was one of the original Flying Elvii. -------------------------------------------------------------- Well..........not to "rain on your parade" but Tom is one of the original Flying Elvises......as am I. The Elvi are a totally different group. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

QuoteMY ASS? What? Why would I wreck the only part of me that still functions properly. I sit on it all day. If it ain't broke...don't break it. Butt seriously, I'm sure the guys could hook me up and give me some O.K. landings on great gear. The risk is just too great for me at this time in my life. Also, I'M JUST TOO SCARED and not willing to experience anymore body pain. True answer.

QuoteAnyone out there know this old jumper? He was nick named Rozzo and was one of the most colorful jumpers I remember from the 70's. Darkwing said he moved to LasVegas from Idaho. He may still be in that area -------------------------------------------------------- His name is Tom Cantarozzo.....he ran the DZ here in Vegas for several years.....I worked for him as a tandem master. He had some history, thats no shit. He was also in a couple of the original skydiving movies.....A Day At The Races......and if my memory serves me right...Lords Of The Sky. He sold the DZ several years ago and walked away from skydiving.....last time I saw him recently he was working in a furniture warehouse. bozo bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever.
