Hi Rev It's been a long time since i been stopped by rec dot....really. i could go back and check it out for a refresher on the names but I'm drawing a blank on the Dr thing Every chat room has it's "out standing" personalities Rec.dot had the sheep herder, Elvis, Rev, old fiddle, EB#1, Make it happen..... The Dr doesn't ring a bell. So I guess the Dr dude wasn't that oustanding or his personality just blended in with the rest of the sheep or sheep herders. HA HA! A couple years ago, my friend landed in THAT tree. It's the only one around and it's visible from outer freaking space! [You are correct...to a point. At the end of the day, even if you have 3 airspeed tunnel camps, SDU and a canopy control course, if you only have 100 jumps you *might* jump like someone with 300 jumps or 400 jumps. Eitherway its not many jumps and you don't have enough jumps to truely have the experience that will effect your judgement in a good way. ________________________________________________ Great post Dave...and even better advice. air. The Ancient One- This species of skydiver is commonly found near smaller Cessna DZ's or anywhere with a good wooden bench. It can be indentified by its 30 year old jacket covered in patches that say such things as "Pegasus" and "Star Crest". They can also be identified by their antique rainbow Wonderhog with 4000 jumps and a 300 ft accuracy canopy. A usually friendly type, they enjoy sharing stories with youngsters about how it was "back in the day when every jump was like Fandango". The point is that he's done good, he's done bad just like any businessman. During the Ralph love fest I wanted to state that there are other opinions that aren't scuttlebutt. ------------------------------------------------------- Yes thats true......but.....dont you think in Ralphs 40+ years of selling gear he has done a lot more good than bad ? Satisfied a lot more people than he pissed off ? Just because you had a bad experience doesnt necessarily have to be Ralphs fault. You might have come off to him as an arrogant asshole and he reciprocated. I bought my first brand new rig from Ralph 23 years ago.....and a half dozen since then.
