I was thinking about passes to a guy that doesn't have the ball, yet. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

I don't understand all the details, but it certainly prevented breakaways in the games I've seen. I'm sure it doesn't prevent all breakaways, but it does prevent some/many. Hockey's rule seems much more sensible People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. The way it is done in soccer seems really dumb. It makes the game less exciting to not allow breakaways, and defensive players can pretend to not be fast enough to force an offside call. Hockey does it much better and easier to judge by the referees. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Not English degress, or even engineering degrees, he sends out people with law degrees. If Obama had not tried to justify the moratorium based upon a report that was altered after it was signed - not in agreement with the authors, well...they wouldn't have been able to pretend to have a basis for the moratorium and the judge wouldn't have had to swat it aside. Obama's secretary altered a report (a report by real experts), and they got caught. Not so complicated. My all new set of nylon will be ready for this weekend, weather looks like it will cooperate, nothing to hold me back! It's been a couple years since my last jump, 3 years since I was really active. I sold all my gear because I needed money at the time, but now I'm back! i couldn't be happier to buy another Infinity and new main in the same colors I had before. Yahoo! It is not a question of one or the other. The pin could have broken after a check, even if that check was just before exit. All it takes is to lean against a rib inside the plane, bump up against the door, etc. The fact that a ripcord pin is vulnerable to such damage is really awful, I think. Even when the pins meet the strength spec that they are supposed to meet, they are not very strong. I have voiced my opinion on this in earlier threads when the bulletin came out years ago. Some agreed, all too many think the pins are a proven design and good enough. I caught a bent pin on a friend's rig back in the late 80s. It would certainly have caused a hard pull at best, impossible pull at worst. A rigger unfortunately yanked it out by hand (pulling at an angle on the cable). It would have been interesting to see what the pull force was. This was back when people didn't have AADs to potentially save your butt like is common now. Of course a broken pin can mean you can't open the reserve like the case of this thread, or a sudden opening of the reserve which of course can also kill you. Time for a upgrade to a really strong pin design. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. The old standard clip had a well deserved reputation for not holding the unit very well. I never used mine after reading of so many others having the clip fail to retain their dytter. You'd be better off not attach it by other means, at least if it is your intention to mount it on the outside of a helmet. Perhaps they've redesigned it. I don't even think they bothered to make a version for the newer, smaller units. It used to be that the gear was so ratty/trashy looking that you really wanted to know how it worked so that you could spot a real problem that was easily hiding along with the gear just in general looking trashed. Now the gear looks so great, clean, modern, that it inspires confidence even if you don't know anything about it. They are completely different disasters, one natural, one man-made. One had ample warning, one had none. GWB didn't act for a week, then did on harrassment from the nation. Obama has to let the corporations, who know the most about this, handle this; his job is to lean on them to fix this and pay for this, they are doing that as best they can. I don't see where Obama has failed the nation here. He is responsible for prudent dealings with this mess, not the mess itself, just as GWB wasn't obviously responsible for Katrina, but responsible for a lackluster response. People that are such strong supporters of Obama that they have gotten tingles up the leg (Chris Matthews) have been saying really bad things about Obama's performance in this matter (including James Carville). Why should I argue about their judgment in this regard? Are you better than Carville and Matthews at analyzing whether Obama has performed well in this crisis? They say he's a do-nothing, an observer... People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Yep. Should have been done more than a month ago. Talk about criminal negligence.... Nearly two months ago And yet to be done Other than as a talking point that some conservatard came up with to further the usual corporate shove it up America's ass... do you even have a clue what the Jones Act is... and why it was put there??? Now run along and check your usual fringe right sources... (Hint... its about protecting American Economic interests in American waters from foreign intrusion) What does that have to do with the libertard in chief not yet waiving it? Of course you were reminded by your usual fringe left sources what the purpose was, but did they offer a reason why it hasn't been waived yet? Of course your post had nothing to do with any point of contention in this discussion except to serve as an opportunity to insult. Many people do that when they don't have a good point to make. DUUUUDE.. I guess when all you got for "fair and balanced" is FAUX News.. EVERYTHING and everyone not in lockstp with your fringe right mantra looks like a leftist... as you guys have been demonstrating for how many years now???? I am sure you have been checking them though.. since at least on anything other than FAUX News you might get a cogent thought...something not forthcoming from lushrimjob.com et al. ACTUALLY I was thinking some of our usual flyover posters got picked up in Kansas.... and got dropped elsewhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOKK8mAkiUI Rather than address the question, yet another round of insults. oh yes, and lots and lots of crazy icons. You risk getting splinters under your fingernails when you scrape the bottom of the barrel that hard. Obama's own statements make claim that he is doing everything he can. Such as: It's the first thing he thinks about when he wakes up, and the last thing he thinks about when he goes to bed... In between those times, well, there is a lot of room for other things that are a lot more fun. Come on now, just pointing out the hypocrisy, nothing new or unexpected there. Y'all give it out, can't you take it? I don't expect Obama can do very much to help, but he could do some things he hasn't, like accept all the help that has been offered, allow states to do what they want, and stop sending the dept of justice out to make public statements about their intent to someday sue BP. If they're going to sue them, then do it when you've got the case ready, but it seems that Obama is spending more time on the strategy of destroying a company than the strategy of disaster management. Tony Hayward is an idiot for thinking that yachting would go over well, but Obama and Emanuel are also not so bright. If you know of a good plan please let me know, of if you have other related advice on such plans. I can pay for normal stuff, just want the catastrophic type, and there is a lot of possibilities to sift through when I start looking at plans. If you're going to have a rope going around/through the attachments surrounding the raft, make sure that each section of rope is independent - so if it is pulled in one area, it can't tighten up somewhere else. That can make it possible to grap on to someone, trapping them. Make separate pieces of rope for each section and that can't happen. It helps if the pilot can do a little bit of a push down to lighten everyone, but of course not so much that you get tossed up to the ceiling. It might need to be deflated a bit as you go up, so don't fill it too much on the ground. I believe a pro-track is a little bigger than the newer generation of audibles on the market, so the helmet mfg is probably guilty of not accommodating your old unit well. Official Statement Regarding Colorado Vigil Firings
sundevil777 replied to slotperfect's topic in Gear and Rigging
Every AAD has problems. There is no such thing as a perfect AAD. What a gem of insight that is. No perfect AADs, yes we can agree on that. What we apparently don't agree on is the extent of how unintelligent (not smart) the vigil is. The folks designing it had a clear target (the cypres) to do better than. They have clearly missed the mark. The vigil doesn't need to be "detuned" to not have fired when a door opens, it needs to be smarter. They make sure it was in the net (past the line), and also that it didn't get kicked in (not allowed if intentional), and also review it to be sure who gets the credit, and can check to be sure if there was a goalie interference violation, etc. I really do remember the officials watching some video to confirm a call a few days ago. Perhaps I'm wrong. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Why didn't they review it, I've seen them look at video during other matches in the last few days. Really outrageous, one of the Americans was bear hugged from behind during the incident, and then the goal is disallowed? In Hockey they video review every goal (there's lots of time to do it after a goal). Of course I know why they don't review it, it would hurt the ego of the refs. I'm not so sure their style of play was so different, at least in terms of the number of times that Boston did go in close to the basket and got assaulted without a whistle blown. It seemed very one-sided, as if the officials do the "let them play" bullshit. That means the officials have to decide how to set their "filter/threshold" differently than normal, and that always winds up not being even, and it just shouldn't happen anyway. It makes it hard to be a fan, but then I admit I haven't been one for a while because of this.
