His point is that he wishes it were not true, and that he wishes that the mainstream media will not reluctantly be forced to cover it. Don't forget about white guilt being a reason that so many whites voted for Obummer. The president even wrote about it in his book. Republicans and women's issues, especially rape and abortion

Quite right! If libs are so afraid of the SCOTUS supposedly changing their "rights", then a constitutional amendment should be what they advodate. I've reached the point where my anger is coming to the surface. It is creating the same anger issues once associated with the Vietnam POW/MIA's. As well it should, even if it's too little, and way too late. Too bad your rage didn't surface at Bush-II for murdering - murdering! - over 3,000 American service-people in the sands of Iraq, for no good reason other than to show the world that he's tougher than his daddy. At least Clinton only murdered Vince Foster. The president before Bush thought he had WMD, as did Kerry and Gore, and a whole lot of the Democratic Congress. The Russians were also convinced, despite the conflicting info. SH wanted the rest of the world to believe it, and created the intelligence that indicated that. SH even believed he had WMD, as his generals were too afraid to tell him that they hadn't been successful at obeying orders to make them. We were already at war with SH. He would shoot at our planes, we would shoot back. Do you think we should have just given up on the cease fire agreement? Some think that is what we should have done, just stop trying to enforce what stopped the first gulf war. Even Obama admitted in his book that he assumed SH had weapons of mass destruction, which means that he didn't mind. Obama doesn't mind Iran or other countries having nuclear weapons, per his own words (previous, not what he now says). As opposed to your (and Sundevil's and other paleoconservative's) preference for neo-colonialism? Some people can never have enough wars, especially if you don't have to do any of the fighting. Don Obama was in favor of war, when it was war against the leaders of Egypt and Libya, as they were pro-Western. Obama was in favor of the war in Afghanistan. Obama doesn't want to arm the rebels in Syria because the Syrian govt is not pro-western. Obama only wants pro-western regimes overthrown, such as Egypt and Libya (it is strange to think of Libya that way, but they had largely changed their ways after giving up their nuclear program), as that supports his desire to reduce American influence. No surprise that Petaeus isn't willing to lie for the cause Obama, Clinton, and Dem election hopes - not after being called Betray-us during hearings while Bush was president. Romney should run ads produced by Hillary from 4 years ago, the "who do you want getting the call at 3AM" ad. Do you have an exact quote? Excerpted from article by Niles Gardiner, director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at the Heritage Foundation. 1. Apology to Europe: Speech in Strasbourg, France, April 3. “In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe‘s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.” 2. Apology to the Muslim world: Interview with Al Arabiya, January 27. “My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy. We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect.” 3. Apology to the Summit of the Americas: Address to the Summit of the Americas, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, April 17. “While the United States has done much to promote peace and prosperity in the hemisphere, we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms.” 4. Apology at the G-20 Summit of World Leaders: News conference in London, April 2. “I just think in a world that is as complex as it is, that it is very important for us to be able to forge partnerships as opposed to simply dictating solutions.” 5. Apology for the War on Terror: Speech in Washington, D.C., May 21. “Unfortunately, faced with an uncertain threat, our government made a series of hasty decisions. I believe that many of these decisions were motivated by a sincere desire to protect the American people. But I also believe that all too often our government made decisions based on fear rather than foresight, that all too often our government trimmed facts and evidence to fit ideological predispositions.” 6. Apology for Guantanamo in France: Speech in Strasbourg, France, April 3. “In dealing with terrorism, we can’t lose sight of our values and who we are. That’s why I closed Guantanamo. That’s why I made very clear that we will not engage in certain interrogation practices. I don’t believe that there is a contradiction between our security and our values. And when you start sacrificing your values, when you lose yourself, then over the long term that will make you less secure.” 7. Apology for America before the Turkish Parliament: Speech to the Turkish Parliament, Ankara, Turkey, April 6. “The United States is still working through some of our own darker periods in our history. Facing the Washington Monument that I spoke of is a memorial of Abraham Lincoln, the man who freed those who were enslaved even after Washington led our Revolution. Our country still struggles with the legacies of slavery and segregation, the past treatment of Native Americans.” 8. Apology for U.S. Policy toward the Americas: Editorial “Choosing a Better Future in the Americas,” April 16. “Too often, the United States has not pursued and sustained engagement with our neighbors. We have been too easily distracted by other priorities, and have failed to see that our own progress is tied directly to progress throughout the Americas.” 9. Apology for the Mistakes of the CIA: Remarks to CIA employees at Langley, Va., April 29. “Don’t be discouraged that we have to acknowledge potentially we’ve made some mistakes.” 10. Apology for Guantanamo: Speech in Washington, D.C., May 21. “There is also no question that Guantanamo set back the moral authority that is America’s strongest currency in the world.” People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Why are things to you so one way or the other? Do you think that the only other possibility besides the BCD (blame, condemn, and disparage) tour is what you have described? The president cannot go to foreign countries and talk to an audience without it being one or the other? Or is it just that your view of conservatives is such that you expect that? I am quite sure that those that don't follow politics, the same people that are the undecided voters, do not want their president doing an apology or BCD tour. Exactly why I think it is so important to prevent the locking stows from breaking when the most stress is on them, during liftoff from the container. Exactly why I don't trust regular rubber bands for the critical center locking stows. I'd rather trade a bag lock (which I don't think I'll get anyway) for preventing a canopy dump which I know is so much more likely. Many Obamarroids don't consider what he did an apology tour, so that's just fine, be literal to the use of the word apologize. So, it can instead be called a blame, condemn, and disparage America tour. Electronic toys are fun, but it won't be very useful for that purpose. You can't trust what other people say about their fall rate. It might be right, but you'd be better off just evaluating their physical build and what their jumpsuit is like, or just knowing what a known organizer says about their fall rate from actual experience. Obama administration puts EPA regs on hold.
sundevil777 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
No, he hasn't. He's made a number of statements, some of which contradict others, and all of them vague. In fact in the debate he even said explicitly that he wouldn't give details. Jgoose even stated as much in the post right after yours. Please pay attention. See post #10 I did. All it's missing are DETAILS. He's floated 2 different amounts for the cap, and hasn't actually put anything concrete down, just vague notions designed to appeal to whatever audience he's addressing at the time. There will be differences of opinion about what the cap will need to be, so a range of values for it shouldn't be a surprise, unless you want to claim it not being detailed enough. It will obviously get settled as part of making the law. You're not being reasonable when you claim this is not detailed enough. Arguing about what that cap would have to be (if it is not in the range of values proposed) would be a valid point, but to say that he's not put out a proposal that is detailed enough is really weak on your part. Dems charge that all mortgage interest and charitable donation deductions together wouldn't be enough, in an attempt to make Romney's proposal look unsound, but of course that is cherry picking it on purpose so that it looks bad. The wealthy have a lot more deductions than just those two that would be up for limitation, and getting a simple cap on the total amount would be easier to pass through congress anyway. they are put on hold until aftert he election when Obama will have more flexibilty. :-) You are confused. That's the reason Romney and Ryan give for not revealing details of their secret tax plan. Tax plan isn't secret, I have heard it and want it. the left needs to open eyes and see. Really? So tell us which deductions will be eliminated. Tell us why Romney said he wouldn't release the details. what deductions to be eliminated needs to be worked out but then why would he piss off groups now. Why wouldn't you be for this? If he does this the big companies not paying tax, like GE, would start to pay tax with the deductions eliminated or capped. Isn't that what the left wants is big corps to pay tax? So the details remain secret. QED No, perhaps you're taking too much time studying Latin and trying to impress others. Or perhaps you don't want to recognize that he's made a very specific proposal. Try paying attention, although you're really just in denial. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Tell us why Romney said he wouldn't release the details. He's already said that one alternative to picking out individual deductions is to have a cap on the maximum amount of deductions. This is a really good alternative because it doesn't pick on just certain industries/constituencies. Even if it is done in a more specific way, announcing what those would be just makes it more difficult to pass in congress. Or, maybe taking a lesson from Pelosi is good - to just see what it is after it becomes law. Also, the EPA regs being put on hold, that must be because Obama and his fellow Obamarroids want dirty air and water, so that children will die. Ya, some disinfecting wipes of some sort, or even the spray that is used for bowling shoes, or a UV light disinfecting wand! That would get some attention, eh? It might even earn a student an early nickname! A quick call to the DZ might confirm their use of helmet mounted radios, as some choose to strap them on to the student in other ways. Viso, not Visio. I had a Protrack for quite a while, and it can be nice to have the detailed data, but it is very "noisy" data, even when I put it in a jumpsuit leg pocket. There is an adapter available that allows USB hookup to the infared data hookup device. I think that without that you have to use a com port but never did it - always had the USB adapter. I sold my Protrack and stuck with the Optima II. It is smaller, water resistant (the "II" version is), has canopy alarms, and is less expensive. The batteries are easier to replace as you don't have to deal with the tiny little springs that the protrack has. Tests should be designed to do no harm at all. I realize that the test is not a "destructive" test in that it doesn't test until failure, but you admitting that repeated tests must be done in different areas means that the test is doing harm. Wrong. Asserting that everything that the government spends money on is "needed" by someone is stupid. It clearly shows the libs will not pursue cuts in spending, for someone needs it. They only claim to want to cut spending so that taxes can get raised first, while the spending cuts are sought and never realized. Really pathetic. Liberal members of congress and Obummer think that any government spending of any kind on anything is worthwhile because it is a stimulus to the economy. Wrong. Conservatives are not making such a claim (except perhaps, rightly, to mock stupid liberal ads). Only liberals make such stupid claims. It is correct to say it is a cut in benefits (the term libs like to use), - that it will result in medicare patients being far less able to get the benefits that Obummer says have not been cut. Obummer says there is no cut in benefits, because he declares that providers will just be paid less. The providers still (for now) have the freedom to say no.
