  1. Heya all, I've implemented a new Events Calendar on Dropzone.com. You can now use your Dropzone.com username and password to post and event, make changes or delete an event from the Calendar. New listings will be reviewed by and editor before they appear on the site. (usually within 24-48 hours) There are links from each event page that will enable you to look for all events related to a specific region, country, DZ or discipline. The old Calendar will be available for only a short while longer so please go and re-list your events in the new calendar. Hope this helps. Enjoy.
  2. ...neither did you. It would be wise not to use my name to try and establish some credibility for Kenny. I have stayed out of this but just to set the record straight: Kenny flat-out lied to me in the emails he sent me. He claimed that the canopy he was trying to sell on Dropzone.com was a "different canopy" with the "same color scheme" as the one he bought on eBay and that the other one was "on it's way to PD to be inspected" and that it "might be advisable to get the whole story before jumping to conclusions". I asked that he send me the name of the person he was working with at PD so I can follow up.... I know a few people there. He never replied back. That was the end of our "additional e-mails". I don't know whether the canopy was as good or as bad as anyone claims, but I do know when someone is trying to feed me a bucket of BS. Please don't use my name unless there's something there. 3. No we don't. Keep PMs (especially with names) out of the forums. If a user threatens you with violence, feel free to PM me and I'll deal with it. That's the method we prefer. Like in the real world, take some time and get to know the community. Remember, fools rush in where angels fear to tread, and it's often more important to know when to stop than when to start. 7. Jumper did not pull anything in freefall and the AAD fired. After the reserve canopy opened it started a spiral that lasted until impact. According to several eyewitnesses it appeared that the jumper arms grabbed to the steering-lines which mea
  8. I'm assuming you're referring to this post. What we allow on here is totally at our discretion (as the rules clearly state), and I'm fine with that joke. If I removed every post that offended someone we'd be left with...umm... about 17 posts... I think! And I have two suggestions for you: 1) Lighten up! 2) Be careful not to take yourself too seriously. It is also filled with over-sensitive politically correct whiners. Safe swoops Sangiro
  9. I don't know about your review. If it was a negative review, did you substantiate all your claims? I suggest you post it again. Safe swoops Sangiro

  15. What Tom said. Or, if it's skydiving related upload it to your personal gallery and provide a link to that. My issue is in fact bandwidth. I have quite a lot of disk space. The investment of time that will go into devising a caching mechanism for attachments probably does not make sense at this stage. There are not enough duplicate attachments going through the system that this will save me a lot of money and there are good work-arounds. (like Tom mentioned above) Thanks for the concern.
