Ladies and gentlemen... foobar. If you think Billvon is scary, well this guy is ridiculous! He also knows me and understand that I see a broader problem developing here that I need to do something about. How are you buddy? I think this is about the spot where you remind me again... how many languages? What percentage of people speak the top 5 languages? John, what about pattern recognition? It looks to me like a problem of organizing information within an already defined cross-border community. Are we trying to identify communities within this one, or just trying to force some IA, facilitate effective communication and manage knowledge share? Isn't this just a manifestation of a very old information problem or is it really about communities and sub communities? (including cyber, virtual and other non-traditional cultural groups) Should I be looking for definitions of culture or for info patterns - or are those the same in this case? Heya all, The american, and non-american threads got me thinking again about something that narcimund suggested a while ago - regional forums. Do you guys think there's any reason or need to create regional forums? I can understand that there are sometimes discussions that are relevant to specific regions or countries only and this may be a home for those. It can also help contribute to building community within regions. Regions could be the same as in the Dropzone Database On the flip side it may be detrimental to the global community we have here. What are your thoughts? (Don't get too excited, it's not a democracy.... I'm just trying to be polite! ) Safe swoops Sangiro

Luna, Great post. There are plenty of people here (including myself) who's logbooks are riddled with unstable exits - even now! Don't beat yourself up, you'll nail it soon. Also, by writing your experiences down and articulating them you are probably helping a lot of other people even if only with their confidence. Skydiving is a rather small sport. The people you are swearing and cussing at today are the same ones who will be on the plane with you tomorrow. They are also the same ones who you'll be hoping to befriend to make this the coolest sport you've ever tried. I think you'll be smart to learn and take advice from others who've been here for a while. If you don't want to do that and you think you've got it nailed, go for it... but wear your thick skin.
