I was about to post a thread about the new Mini-Hans, and did a search and found this one. CONGRATS HANS AND KRISTIN! Who better to change diapers than JRAF? He knows how to separate SHIT from BULLSHIT! Willem Frederick will be a strong and very smart little guy. Jraf is already planning on teaching him how to pack rigs. He will do his first tandem on his first birthday, and then be an expert sitflier by his third.... Daddy will nightly read to him from his extensive collection of WWII books. A very well written and acted film about various lives intersecting in LA is on DVD.... 21 Grams with Benito de Paulo and Sean Penn... I liked Crash, but 21 Grams was incredible. We will definitely go to Fortaleza. Alysse's sister has one of the best Japanese restaurants anywhere (including Japan!). They do catering on Sat nites at Beach Park, which is a type of 'Wet and Wild' water park on the beach. One of the water slides is called 'Insano' (Insane) and is a straight drop 6 stories tall. Near the top, there is a slight curve so that your body actually goes into a few seconds of freefall! heheheh.... As for 14 years anniversary, we actually started going together a few years before that! So we have been together around 17 years.....No, I didn't rob the cradle! Alysse does still look like a teenager though, doesn't she??? Tonite we are going to an area in Sao Paulo with lots of restaurants and bars, for a party with Alysse's college group. And as usual here in SP, it doesn't start till 11 at nite, and will last till the wee hours! Paulistas love to hangout, eat and drink and talk and joke for hours and hours! More news later! Just got contact with eduardo meirelles (edu) from the boituva dz. we met him during the lake wales swoop meet a few months ago, and he invited us to stay at his place and do some jumps! To me, whatever the reasons for getting us into war --the admin also told us the war would be over in a few months, Bush celebrated the end of hostilities while in a pilot suit, they said we´d be welcomed with flowers.....we didn´t secure the borders, we allowed looting of ammo dumps and precious historical artifacts from museums, we didn´t send the number of troops that the military requested,etc etc.....

What was interesting to us is the way it captures the alien-ness of the day to day japanese culture. without understanding the language, and the signs around them, they are disconnected and disoriented. In that limbo like feeling, that hangs on even as the jet lag wears off, they found each other and managed to have fun and real contact, even hanging out with the 'real people' in town. i loved the karaoke club....that is so japanese....and the crazy folks at the party.....maybe some skydivers in that crowd???

Winter/Tourist season is now kicking off and you should be able to fly with a dozen or more different nationalities. just don't be shy to ask around to join groups. they won't approach YOU. I live in Sarasota. Here and around FL we can easily buy a can of beer or even a case at the gas station! There are even drive thru liquor stores!! And yet we can't legally drink while driving?? I just had lunch at a waterfront restaurant, and was able to get my dessert drink (a milk shake of icecream and coffee liquors) to go!!! It was a very pleasant Friday afternoon drive home!
