    When I show fotos of my skydives to non-skydiving friends, I sometimes get some good questions that show they are paying attention to details big and small. It is interesting to see what they focused on: 1) "What is with that crazy guy not wearing a helmet?" (here we explain the concept of 'brain bucket') 2) "That guy wearing sandals, don't his feet freeze at that high altitude?" (explain that in florida, nothing freezes) 3)"What are those things everyone is wearing that look like big wristwatches?" 4)"Everyone has some material stretched over their shoes, is that for streamlining?" (good guess about booties!) 5)"You all have handles on your arms and legs?" (explain RW and grippers) Any other more or less INTELLIGENT questions you have heard?     Dick Lamm.... I voted for him back in the 70s....he sure has changed his tune. what an idiot! While I encourage everyone to learn english and be productive citizens, I also respect cultural differences. I like salad and spices! Who wants white bread as the only foodsource? But then again, that's why I left the country and spent over ten years in latin america and asia! When I returned, I was pleasantly surprised to see a more multicultural environment. And 'Mexifornia'! Like that is a recent phenomenon....How stupid! California has been spanish way longer than American!!     Vinny my good buddy, I have a bottle of Havana Club in my trailer at zhills. I always pick up a couple bottles when I return from Brasil. They sell for only $10 or so....I like it on the rocks or shots. Next time we get together I will be glad to pour you a few. As for margaritas, jraf and I have been in el paso for a few days on a project and I have been trying them in every restaurant. I make sure to ask for Patron as the tequila, and make sure they aren't frozen type....the restaurants here make some huge bowl sized drinks....absurd how large they can be. I prefer the classic shaped glass....I would rather drink a few than a huge one that will get watered down.     Hey you atlanta folks! I sure miss hanging out with ya'll at Neighbors on Wed!!! You are all a great bunch, and I have mentioned you and your wed nite gatherings to many friends. You welcomed me into the fold, got me drunk, I met lots of friendly people and had some fun! Maybe I should accept another consulting gig up there soon....but no rain here in FL, today I walked on the beach and saw 3 dolphins swimming alongside, only 30 feet from the sand!!! Miss ya'll!     Wendy, tudo bem? Durian is like a smellier version of Jaca, ever eat that in Brasil? A nice ripe (orange color) carambola is tasty. I have them in my yard in FL. Can find them in grocery stores but may not be very tasty that way. Did you mention MANGO? Many different types, some sweeter than others, once again, storebought may not ripen properly.... And there are many many different kinds of bananas, all tastier than the type found in grocery stores....the smaller the tastier usually.....     actually it's xm radio broadcast on fm90.1...station changes based on who is at manifest.....we use it to hear upcoming load and dirtdive announcements etc while hanging out at our trailers across the landing area..... mp

    I'd like to put in my 2cents for: 'Everything is Illuminated'.... just released on DVD....Elijah Wood moves from LOTR middle earth to the Ukraine...Funny and thoughtful at same time....     We were together with John nearly every weekend for the last few years, sharing skydives, dinners, partys and just hanging out. Our little group Andrea and Alexis, Keith, Igor, Hans/JRAF, Alysse and I hanging out at Janines after a day of jumping..... Did 4 way, sitfly, magic carpets and other fun jumps.... Thanks to everyone who called me today, John had lots of friends and we will also miss seeing Lady sitting under our feet at the bomb squad table eagerly waiting for John to land....I am so glad that he was able to see his article and photos in the recent Parachutist, he was really becoming a great skydive photographer.... Blue Skies, John!

    Reminds me of one of my favorite bits from 'Friends' when Joey and Chandler are arguing about how Joey used Chandler's toothbrush.
